    Rice a palooza lunch
    D W.

Been here many times, won't be going back. -Previous dinner orders of General Tso's chicken is full of breading it's arguably 75% breading just terrible. -So much rice for lunch now they are purposely pushing the rice outside the two small cups in the styrofoam to take up more space in the entrees area it was the same in all three of our lunch orders. -Beef and chicken lunches had maybe 3 ounces of actual meat. -Sauces all lack flavor they are a just sweet, watered down soy sauce mess. -Spring rolls are wrapped so many times to limit the filing to have to really bite down with gusto and sort of naw your way through it, they are not crisp and delicate with nice filling as they should be. Just sad about this place, really thought I found a decent Chinese restaurant that cared about quality, and cost engineering their food, wasn't crazy expensive, alas I was wrong.

We ordered dinner for takeout on their online website. We got the crab rangoon, general tso shrimp and beef chow fun. Crab rangoon was good.. the general tso shrimp was extremely over sugared. For a dish that is supposed to be spicy, this was not spicy at all. It was like eating candy shrimp. Online ordering was easy but our notes/comments were ignored. For example: we asked to make a normally spicy dish, extra spicy, but it came out non-spicy. Beef chow fun was decent and had snow peas which is always a nice addition to the dish. Overall, this place is reasonably priced but portions are scaled that way. Good if you're in a rush and want quick takeout.

Highly recommended for take out or Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria delivery. Been eating their take out for over ten years. Family run, this is really good food. The vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend the Chicken and broccoli, or the shrimp and broccoli as the oyster sauce is very well done. In those ten years, we've gotten to know them well - and they are good honest folk. Let me repeat that, these are good honest, hard working folk. The food is always good, they work hard to make it that way, and they produce a very good meal at a very good price. Yes, the store front is nothing great. But the food that comes across the counter is really good, well seasoned, and properly prepared.

Be very careful, these people did not deliver my food order correctly and when I called to let them know they came out denying what was missing and the payment for my food was made and they even collected the tip from the person in charge of the delivery without authorization

Solid takeout Chinese option! Orange chicken was great. Fried rice was average. There in a spring roll for free! Win!

The owners were very kind, friendly, and attentive! There were a couple of tables inside, so we chose to dine in. Everything tasted fresh, not at all salty, and prepared with care and love. I'd love to try out their lunch specials and other chef specialty entrees on the next visit. It also has a really cool vibe on the inside. It's situated at the bottom of the Hyatt on King/Harvard. We ordered the samosa chat, pav bhaji, butter chicken, and CTM. Everything was so delicious. The samosa chaat comes with the tamarind and mint dressings already mixed in. Our server, Sam, was attentive and super kind! He offered us extra rice when we were a bit too enthusiastic with our curry portions. I cannot recommend this place enough!

STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

The restaurant had a back section that looked like it could be used as a separate party room and more booths and table in the front. Our server was good. He checked in with us frequently and made sure to keep us informed on our food status after taking our order. We tried the scallion bubble pancake, walnut shrimp, Mr Zhangs red braised pork belly, and beef chow fun. The bubble pancake was fun and had a good crunch and served with like a curry dip sauce. I would say if you get this, you should eat it first/soonest since i enjoyed it more at first bite while it was hot. The walnut shrimp was good, the shrimps were the smaller ones that were an easy way to snack. The braised pork belly was so tender. It reminded me of char siu, flavor wise, as long as you're ok with the pork belly (aka fatty pieces). Beef chow fun was good. They used nice wide noodles that were cooked well, not too soft, and had good onions, bean sprouts, and other veggies. I would come back try other things!

I have now made it to six Peter Chang restaurants in the DMV!…read more When I was looking through the menu I must have missed that it was a Peter Chang restaurant. I only saw food items that looked really good. It wasn't until I saw the bubble pancake did I realize. So of course we ordered the bubble and bento to begin. Loved the variety in the bento box and wished that it came with at least two of the soup dumplings, siu mai, and har gow. You just can't share a soup dumpling! We ordered the chow fun and salt and pepper shrimp. This was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. The chow fun will always be my favorite childhood noodle dish. The shrimp was nice and crispy. And for any non-alcoholic drinkers out there, they have a lychee drink which was very refreshing. My only complaint is that with a party of seven, we were told that there was a $20 deposit per person for a reservation. Our reservation was for the non-busy hour of 4:30 p.m. I can understand large parties of say 20 or more in which you will be taking up a good portion of the restaurant but this policy is a first for me. Parking is available in the paid garage on the same block.
