Panisa is by far my favorite Thai Restaurant in the Northern Virginia area. The worker was so friendly and was very patient even though we took some time to decide what to eat. The ambiance was very welcoming with lots of natural light and many tables, so we did not have to wait when we got there around noon on a Saturday. It was very clean, and it is also nice that there is plenty of parking since the restaurant is located in a plaza. My friend and I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and the crab fried rice. Both dishes were incredibly delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. It was my first time ordering the crab fried rice and I was so pleased! Whenever I come to Panisa for lunch I always receive quick service and delicious food! Today I had the pad see ew with beef added. It was so flavorful. I love the sauce and if you like spices they have a spice tray where you can select from four spices. I also ordered Thai tea to go. The menu has been recently updated. Panisa has lunch specials to select from as well. My friend had the crispy chicken from the lunch menu. We were both happy with our meals. Lunch portion is a little bit smaller portion. read more

This is by far the best Pad Thai I have ever had! I dream about it! We move around a lot in the US and this is the best place. I stumbled across this place as my kids wanted chipotle ( for the 100th) time and I just couldn't stomach it. There's really nothing bad to say about Panisa Thai Dining! The staff is the best of the best! They remember my favorite order, greet me by name, and ask about my family. They always make coming in a pleasant experience. As for the food, every single dish I've had here has been delicious, but none more so than the green curry. It's the best green curry in the area and I've tried a few! My order is always on time and, even though this restaurant is quite popular and can get very busy, I've never had to wait for my food (either for dine in or takeout). Panisa is located in a shopping center so there are always plenty of parking spots available. They recently did a renovation and it looks incredible!! Stopped here after a hair appointment to grab some lunch that wasn't fast food, and the fellow Yelp reviews persuaded me. A young man greeted me, and I asked to place an order to go. He handed me their menu but I read here to ask for their daily lunch specials. It was a handwritten list of 5-6 options, so I went for the Massaman Curry Chicken and added an order of spring rolls. They quoted a 10-minute wait, but it was bagged and ready for me in more like 5! I ate it at home, 20 minutes away, and it was still warm! The spring rolls were nice and crispy with a flavorful dipping sauce that wasn't too sweet like some others I've had. The lunch portion was a very good size and value. (This could have been an ample portion for dinner too, esp with the addition of spring rolls that I didn't have to share!) One side of the plastic portioned container had the yellow curried chicken and potatoes in sauce, and the other side had the jasmine rice with a vegetable mix of broccoli and thinly sliced carrot rounds. The Massaman curry was well-seasoned and flavorful; you could clearly taste the balance of spices and coconut milk. Delicious! Our normal Thai haunts are Thai Basil in Chantilly and Pad Thai in Kamptown. This was our first time here and were impressed at how good it was. The food was delicious. The pad Thai easily had a large enough portion for 3 servings. The spring rolls were wonderful. The wait staff were quite attentive during our meal. However, once they cleared our plates and provided carry out containers, they didn't bring the bill for a very long time. It was hard to get the attention from staff to get the bill. And I'm not a fan of the staff making you pay while they watch what you tip. It's not the fault of the restaurant, but it was almost impossible to hear people at my table as the people at other tables were very loud. read more

The service was a little slow on getting us the menu to look at but after the food was ordered, they cooked the food quickly. The to go experience was pretty good, I placed my order and they made it on time. The food here is on the non-spicy side so do not worry if you cannot eat spicy food. I got the beef drunken noodles and it is so delicious. The beef was very tender and they seasoned very well. Their Thai ice tea is a must have, I honestly only get Thai tea at Thai restaurants and not the boba tea place because it is always better and they never made it wrong. It was delicious but it had more jalapeño than any other Thai restaurants. 2nd time was Mussamun curry. I had to make sure it's not too spicy. It turned out really good combination of spice and creaminess of coconut milk. This place is always busy and popular. Pan-tastic! I've been coming here for years--as it's convenient for me to get to and a wonderful asset to the Burke Center Pkwy shopping center. My usual go-to is either the Pad Thai or Bruce's Choice (aka Drunken Noodles). They both taste great, and the drunken noodles have a sort if a smokey taste to it. The Green curry is also really tasty! If you like spice, ask then for peppers! They have red pepper flakes, red hot sauce, peppers, and small REALLY spicy peppers. The customer service is usually great--and the staff is pretty friendly. I gave 4 stars because there is another thai place I really enjoy in Clifton, and would rank my experience there a tad bit more enjoyable. This was years ago, so we decided to give this place another chance. Tofu Tom Yum: It was a delicious spicy zest that my husband and I loved. It could've been slightly more spicy, but the zesty-ness was the reason we liked it so much. It had a good amount of tofu and mushrooms. Chicken Pad Thai: Talk about smokey! We loved the smokey char on the noodles - I would love to order this again. Panang Beef Curry: Great flavor as expected from a panang curry. It was a level 2 spice and tasted great on top of rice or mixed in with the Pad Thai. I had a good experience this time. Really bad service. Very rude waiter. No class, no courtesy, Went there with a friend, waited 20 mns to be served while others who came after me were being attended. When the waiter finally came, I told her quietly and politely that she came just in time because we were abt to go somewhere else, she said " you can leave if you want "; we decided to ignore this weird and dramatic woman and as we were placing our order, she added: " we are very busy tonight so if you want to leave you can leave, go ahead " - so we left. Very disappointed by her rural behavior. Not a good image for Panisa to have such a waiter with no manners - she never apologized and proceeded to pick up the menus from our table. We ended up going to Pasara in Kingstown Alexandria, and it was the best decision!
