Curry soup

I can't believe how quickly the food came out, and it's really REALLY good. Delicious. It's also a nice airy space. Way better than I expected for a strip mall

Pad See Ew

Whenever I come to Panisa for lunch I always receive quick service and delicious food! Today I had the pad see ew with beef added. It was so flavorful. I love the sauce and if you like spices they have a spice tray where you can select from four spices. I also ordered Thai tea to go. The menu has been recently updated. Panisa has lunch specials to select from as well. My friend had the crispy chicken from the lunch menu. We were both happy with our meals. Lunch portion is a little bit smaller portion.

Spring rolls

Food is delicious in the environment is so comfortable and included. Free for families and customer service is quick efficient.

So good! My new favorite local Thai spot. I tried the basil fried rice, pad thai, panang curry, spring rolls, and Thai tea. All were tasty and fresh. The in-person service while I awaited my order was solid as well. Would recommend.

We went yesterday 20 minutes before closing and hadn't realized the time. But they were happy to serve us lunch. We were able to stay after closing with no rush. And the food was delicious! I absolutely recommend

We order from this location fairly frequently. I would recommend this place. The actual restaurant is very pleasant. Staff is friendly. Food is yummy. We order the noodles and the curries. You won't be disappointed. Safe bet if you are in the mood for Thai.

Stopped here after a hair appointment to grab some lunch that wasn't fast food, and the fellow Yelp reviews persuaded me. A young man greeted me, and I asked to place an order to go. He handed me their menu but I read here to ask for their daily lunch specials. It was a handwritten list of 5-6 options, so I went for the Massaman Curry Chicken and added an order of spring rolls. They quoted a 10-minute wait, but it was bagged and ready for me in more like 5! I ate it at home, 20 minutes away, and it was still warm! The spring rolls were nice and crispy with a flavorful dipping sauce that wasn't too sweet like some others I've had. The lunch portion was a very good size and value. (This could have been an ample portion for dinner too, esp with the addition of spring rolls that I didn't have to share!) One side of the plastic portioned container had the yellow curried chicken and potatoes in sauce, and the other side had the jasmine rice with a vegetable mix of broccoli and thinly sliced carrot rounds. The Massaman curry was well-seasoned and flavorful; you could clearly taste the balance of spices and coconut milk. Delicious! I'll definitely be coming here again when I have the occasion to be in Burke.

This was not a real Thai food restaurant. The food tasted awful, and they are closer to Chinese food. I would never go again.

I had the szechuan beef noodle soup - the beef was tender alongside its tasty noodles and savoury broth. The scallion pancakes were solid and crunchy. The place was filling up and the ambiance reminds me of a traditional bustling noodle house - perfect for the cold snap we were experiencing at the time. We got hot and sour noodle soup, sichuan beef noodle soup, and an order of their pork soup dumplings. Portions are generous and prices are fair, it's easy to become a regular here if you live nearby. The hot and sour noodle soup is as advertised - just enough spice to complement the sour, but not overwhelm to make it feel like mala. It's served, as expected, with glass noodles, some bak choi, and some pork slices. Nothing spectacular but par for the course. The sichuan beef noodle foon soup was slight notch better. The broth gives really warm vibe and you can tell it's been brothing for a long time. Again just the right amount of spicy to make you keep slurping for more. The noodles were average, chewy, but not bouncy. Also comes with a healthy amount beef slices and bak choi. Again - a great noodle soup bowl but nothing jaw dropping. Soup dumplings were fantastic, however. The pork definitely has its own marinade and the soup is flavorful. The dumpling skin is well constructed and complemented well with the noodle soups - especially in cold weather. tldr; solid noodle soup spot, they seem to be consistent and really hits the mark when you're in a for your noodle fix. Soup dumplings are probably a must get side dish with whatever your main is

My go-to spot suddenly closed, leaving me in a bit of a lurch! Where do I go?! We all have our favorite Chinese restaurant, and when we can't go to that one there's a little bit of a conundrum. I take American Chinese food seriously - which really means I order the same thing 98% of the time because that's my GO TO meal. As an intellectual, that is of course General Tso's chicken. Beijing Tokyo blends north and south Asia into a rather cozy, strip mall location. One person was talking obliviously on her cell phone, while the sushi Chef took orders. Until Yelp asked me if this place was romantic, I hadn't actually thought about it that way. But it is a little romantic. The tables are close together, the light is low, even if this place was full it would be... Cozy. A Chinese restaurant that's cozy is a very short leap to romantic. You can have a conversation here. I ordered my usual and waited about 10 minutes. The GTC was excellent. It had spice and flavor, but not too spicy. The fried rice was delicious. Good portion size and a good price. Two egg rolls and the total came to $25.25. No surprises, nothing out of the ordinary. If you had told me this had come from my favorite- now sadly closed - Chinese restaurant, I would have never known the difference. And there in lies what I think makes a good Chinese restaurant: predictability. American Chinese food is a distinct cuisine with the same menus, the same waving Buddah and melamine plates. The difference is quality, and the taste of your favorite meal. I am sad that my favorite place closed, but Beijing Tokyo is my new Chinese food restaurant, and I think it's pretty darn good.

The place itself is quite small for dine in, but I'm pretty sure that's not their target so we were able to get a seat for 2 pretty easily on a Friday evening. We got mostly "ABC" comfort foods - orange chicken, Yangzhou fried rice, Singapore rice noodles - and an order of their dumplings in spicy sauce (a bit surprising as it's a more northern China style compared to the rest of menu). It was definitely a bit much for just 2 of us but we intended to take home leftovers. All of it was delicious, cooked to spec, but what really makes them stand out is their superior "wok-hei"; it is the soul of wok-style dishes and compliments to the chef(s) - they absolutely know their craft and it shines in the flavor. This craftsmanship is lost in the new generation and it's a real treat to see it preserved here out of all places. Dumplings were splendid. Juicy and handmade, definitely hits that nostalgic nook from the back of your head. tldr; charming Chinese takeout spot with superb wok-hei in their dishes

We tried both the luosifen soup with beef flank and the dry luosifen noodles with beef brisket so we could compare the two styles, and honestly, both were delicious. The broth had so much flavor, while the dry noodles had a completely different taste and were just as good. We also ordered the Beef Flank Burrito, wonton noodle soup, cold noodles with peanut sauce, crab rangoon, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Everything that came to the table was fresh and flavorful. The winter melon tea was a standout for me. I ordered it at 25% sweetness and it was still packed with flavor.
