    Yindee Thai Fried Rice
    Se C.

Yindee Thai is located in the West Springfield shopping mall on the intersection of old keen mill and rolling road where Whole Foods used to be. They decorated it to match the season and I liked the atmosphere in here. The servers were all very nice and repeated the order to make sure it was correct. I came on a Sunday (party of two) but noticed that they had a weekday lunch special for a reasonable price. There was ample seating. We ordered the Yindee fried rice with shrimp and chicken and drunken noodles with seafood. It came inside of a pineapple half as I've seen with many other Thai restaurants. The pineapples were fresh and complimented the salty/savory dish. The shrimp and chicken were very good. The cashew nuts gave a nice change in texture without being overly hard. The drunken noodles had a nice texture but not sure about the freshness of the scallops and mussels. Overall food quality was 4/5. Service was 5/5.

Tom Yum Soup chicken. Super large portion with lots of chicken and noodles.

I found Yindee Thai on a rainy weekend. When I came in I was greeted and seated. The dining room is very nice and just enough. Not to big not to small. Ther is a nicely appointed bar area with plenty of seating. Very nice ambiance. I usually order dumplings and shrimp pad thai. I decided to try something different. I had the tom yum soup with chicken and dumplings. The soup is a huge serving. It stayed hot and was very flavorful. Same with the dumplings. Service was attentive without hovering too much. I will definitely come back to try other dishes. This is a hidden gem.

The food is delicious!!! The place is clean and the staff is super friendly!! All the ingredients used in my food that I ordered I could tell was fresh. You can let them know what degree of spiciness you want. I really loved the Kaprow and the drunken noodles, also the Tom Yum soup was amazing!! Definitely coming back. I highly recommend this place!!

We decided to go out in a date and support our community small business. It made me sad that Covid-19 had us all worry. We call ahead to make sure wasn't crowded. Walk in as we were the only ones there. The service was fast and pleasant. It made me smile that they still received a lot of carry out orders. I order the Chicken Pat Thai. It was a huge portion, great flavor (spicy). I took some home for lunch of course! I'm glad they still around as is one of my favorite Thai restaurants around here.

So chic, not the usual Thai Restaurant interior. The staff were so personable. And THE FOOD is fantastic! I am glad we stopped by and checkout this place. While we were waiting the two ladies beside our table told us that this is one of their favorite places to eat at. And when we had our food, we understand why. It's so fresh, from the meat to the side dishes. I feel like I am back in Thailand. When I was researching on this restaurant, I found out that the chef taught in Bangkok culinary school. No wonder why this place is a gem! This place is amazing and highly recommend to try. Note: The portion is big and so you are getting what you pay for. Parking is shared and a lot of spaces. Only indoor seating.

That's how I spend many of my days off as a restaurant owner myself. My experience started off on the wrong foot when I was directed to a very small table for one. I politely explained several times that I typically order a substantial amount of food and would need more space. I was told the larger tables were reserved and that tables could be pushed together later if needed. As the meal progressed, a longtime friend of mine who works there came out to say hello. Shortly afterward, tables were combined, apologies were offered, and the experience improved significantly. What left me puzzled was that many of the larger "reserved" tables remained empty throughout my visit. By the time I left around 5:00 PM, they still had not been used. The food was mixed. I came specifically for the Khao Mun Gai, one of Thailand's most iconic dishes. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. The chicken was average, the rice was decent, and the accompanying soup lacked depth and flavor. On the positive side, the Crackin' Belly was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and well executed. The Pad Thai Siam Shrimp was solid, and while the Tom Sab soup had good flavor, it was a bit too spicy for my preference. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The space is modern, clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the nicer Thai restaurant interiors in Northern Virginia. One additional detail stood out. My friend joined me briefly for a toast. I ordered a double bourbon, and he ordered a shot. All three shots appeared on my bill, totaling $45. While not a major issue, it felt like a missed opportunity for hospitality given the circumstances. In the end, my bill was approximately $163 for a solo meal. My biggest takeaway wasn't the food--it was the inconsistency in hospitality. The experience improved dramatically after I was recognized, and every guest should feel welcomed and valued from the moment they walk through the door, regardless of appearance or assumptions about what they may spend. The restaurant has a talented kitchen, a beautiful dining room, and plenty of potential. With more consistent hospitality, this could easily become a destination Thai restaurant.

My friend who isn't typically a fan of thai tea really liked Mae Ornnit's version, because it wasn't that sweet. We also liked the strawberry smoothie! Some of our food favorites were the moo ping with sticky rice as an appetizer. The pork marinade was really good! The crispy chicken with green curry was also delicious. The chicken had a great crisp, and it wasn't an overwhelming amount of green curry. The volcano tom yum dish using Mama instant noodles was a visually stunning dish. It was also tasty, served with a lot of seafood. The Mama cup was repurposed to hold veggies. I kind of wished there were more seasoning or some sauce with the veggies because they were a bit dry, but we mixed it in with the noodles, so no biggie. We devoured the mango sticky rice, that was about $9. We should've ordered 2 of those to share amongst us 4. The mango was perfectly ripe and delicious!!! Very friendly staff who checked on us often, despite being really busy (on a Tuesday night!!) I'd come back here to enjoy comfort Thai dishes and Isan-style Thai food.

FOOD We have ordered a wide range of apps, soup, noodles, curry, and veggie dishes as well as mango sticky rice. The flavors were all on point & delish and you can adjust your spice level, which I like because I am all about the Thai spicy! The only thing I would not suggest is getting the mango sticky rice to go because it ends ups mush, stuck together like its name, lol, but it's just not good like that. Great vibe, fun spot, yummy food! As always peeps, support your local small biz! Cheers!

Pineapple fried rice is one of my favorites and wow, they do it different in an awesome way here!!! The shrimp comes in a sauce on the side in a cup. It's likely in person it all comes together, but when I mixed it and tried, wow it was so delicious!!! The Ban Guan (rice crepes with ground chicken and mushrooms and onions) was the bomb with its sauce. And the kanom jeeb!!!! Which are steamed dumplings with ground chicken, crab meat, mushrooms and crunchy garlic on top--good lord. Hands down the best I've had. I know the Ban Guan was the only Laos dish I ordered but I will be back again to try more! And I also can't wait to try the curry puffs. This is definitely my new go-to for Thai and Laotian food.
