Rounded up to 3 stars. Would give about 2.5 stars. Clean restaurant not busy at all. Got chicken green curry and pork pad see ew. Food was just ok. The veg in the green curry was good. The chicken was dry. I got spicier and it was not as spicy as I wish. I never know what a restaurant considers hot. The rice was ok but a little hard. So strange for a Thai place. My husband's was ok. He said there wasn't much pork but the serving was ok. He noticed the egg was dry. I never saw it on top in a blob before. It wasn't bad but wouldn't say good. I'm not sure of the other options over here since we don't live close by. read more

I was in the neighborhood on a workday and wanted something better than just quick for lunch, so I stopped by Yindee. It was mid-afternoon and I was the only sit-down customer. Yindee was comfortable and clean. The server, who might have been the owner or manager, was very reserved, unsmiling and not welcoming at all. He was fine at taking my order and bringing out my food, but he never checked up on me. However, another woman in the restaurant called out a friendly thank you as I was leaving. This is a restaurant with a bar, noting that the bar is well-stocked. Unfortunately, FOX News was on the TV behind the bar. At least the sound was off so I didn't have to hear the lies. I ordered Beef Phad Thai and a Thai Iced Coffee. The Beef Phad Thai was outstanding, really delicious with plenty of beef and just a little scallion. Loved the scrambled egg on top. Probably some of the best Phad Thai I've ever had! The Phad Thai came with a complimentary egg roll that was accompanied by fresh greens with a delightful light ginger dressing. Normally it seems chefs go overboard with ginger, but here's an example of using just the right amount. The Thai Iced Coffee came in a generous portion, but had an odd bitter flavor. The great Phad Thai is what motivates me to come back. If it wasn't for the Phad Thai, this review would have been three stars. read more

Omg I picked up food from here and they gave gave me someone else's food and said it was my fault! They said they tried to call me (they didn't? And said they told me to come back. Lies lies lies! They put the manager on the phone cause they could not lie lie any more and she admitted to the lies. and said sorry. Hope she will reimburse my money but that's not ok. I'm an original at this location and do t tink I'll come back ever again as I don't like the service. Good bye!!! read more

Located a store away from Starbucks and Walgreens. There is plenty of parking available. I ordered calamari fries, yindee pad Thai with seafood and krapow. I asked the server for Thai 5 spicy but really really spicy. I pretty much have a low tolerance but was craving really spicy food. On the receipt it said Thai 5 spicy x10 on it. There was 0 spice to it. The yindee pad Thai had a bland flavor, no spice at all. Wasn't appetizing. If that is considered the spiciest level they got, then that's just disappointing. Would have given this place a 1 star but the calamari fries were pretty good, however the breading fell apart quickly. I will not be returning. read more

Stopped in here for a midday snack. Had the Tom Yum Soup with large shrimp and veggies and it was delicious. I also got the Yindee Dumplings, which I enjoyed. You get 6 of them, which turned my midday snack into a satisfying meal. It wasn't crowded (it was a weekday) and my service was great. I will come here again. read more

I got chicken drunken noodles here and it was awful. It was too oily and flavorless. Just bland, oily noodles with some chicken. My boyfriend's pad see ew was similar - bland and oily. Althought I can't speak on the ambiance or service because we used a food delivery app, I wouldn't want to come back to dine-in. I do not recommend. read more

I went to Yindee thai, and it was wonderful. I got the crab ragoons and the curry puffs. The crab raccoons were delicious, but as usual, you can't really tell if there's any crab in them. But the sweet chili sauce that came with them was delicious. The curry puffs were amazing as was the sauce they served with them. They were so amazingly seriously I couldn't quit eating them. Very light and flaky, perfect amount of curry. For my Main, I had eggplants stirfry, with pork. It was really really tasty, the broth was really light and was delicious. Especially the large pieces of eggplants they were cooked just perfectly. And I had to finish with mango stick rice. The rice was hot. The mango was cold , and the syrup was only very light. Which allowed the rice and the mango to really stand out. Very tasty! highly recommend. read more

We really enjoy the Thai food from Yindee. We used to come before it changed hands, and simply didn't return for a while. Shame on us. The food is excellent for an American palette. The prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food delivered. The service is prompt, and courteous. The restaurant has less than 10 tables with outside seating available in the nice weather. My choice is their Pai Thai, my bride loves their pineapple friend rice, and our son enjoys their squash medley pad Thai with chicken and shrimp added. Choose your spices carefully for us bland Americans, we did damage once, when we didn't order correctly. Our bad, your lesson..... read more

recently dined at Yindee Thai and had an incredible experience! The chicken wings were perfectly crispy, with a balanced seasoning that was savory and just a little spicy, making them the perfect appetizer. For my main dish, I tried the pineapple fried rice, which was a standout. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, with the pineapple adding a lovely hint of sweetness that balanced the umami flavors from the stir-fried vegetables and tender pieces of chicken. The portion size was generous, leaving me satisfied without feeling overly full. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and the staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. It's clear that Yindee Thai takes pride in using fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. I'll definitely be returning soon to try more of their dishes - this spot is a gem for Thai food lovers! read more

Yindee Thai is located in the West Springfield shopping mall on the intersection of old keen mill and rolling road where Whole Foods used to be. They decorated it to match the season and I liked the atmosphere in here. The servers were all very nice and repeated the order to make sure it was correct. I came on a Sunday (party of two) but noticed that they had a weekday lunch special for a reasonable price. There was ample seating. We ordered the Yindee fried rice with shrimp and chicken and drunken noodles with seafood. It came inside of a pineapple half as I've seen with many other Thai restaurants. The pineapples were fresh and complimented the salty/savory dish. The shrimp and chicken were very good. The cashew nuts gave a nice change in texture without being overly hard. The drunken noodles had a nice texture but not sure about the freshness of the scallops and mussels. Overall food quality was 4/5. Service was 5/5. read more

Awful service walked in sat at the bar and ignored. Then finally someone else acknowledged me but never once received any service from the bartender. Ordered to go and food was dry and unsatisfying. One star because the one woman who serviced me was very polite read more

This place is my go-to for Thai take out. Great American sized portions, but the quality of rice noodle leaves you reminiscing of a finer establishment's ingredient quality read more

Good food. Can be ordered with mild spices. We like the green chicken curry. The lettuce rolls are very good too.

Great food, great service. We have become regulars. The cocktails are also very creative and excellent.

OK, where to start. I walk over to the really wanting their Garden Stir Fry. When I got there, there were two couples and lots of empty tables. I stood at the door, waiting for someone to come. And I stood there! One of the employees, stayed diligent filling and then dumping out a water pitcher, looked at me and nothing. So I stood, one of the kitchen staff came out, looked and me, dropped off a to go order and went back in the kitchen, and I stood there! A person came in , pushed past me and went to claim a to go order, and that is when I took my hint and left. No one tried to ask if I wanted to go or seat, I saw no wait staff other than the bartender? This use to be a great little local place, but not today. With a huge competition just up the walkway, you would think they would jump at a customer. But I get the feeling they are not long for the Springfield area and have given up the fight. Sad! read more

I found Yindee Thai on a rainy weekend. When I came in I was greeted and seated. The dining room is very nice and just enough. Not to big not to small. Ther is a nicely appointed bar area with plenty of seating. Very nice ambiance. I usually order dumplings and shrimp pad thai. I decided to try something different. I had the tom yum soup with chicken and dumplings. The soup is a huge serving. It stayed hot and was very flavorful. Same with the dumplings. Service was attentive without hovering too much. I will definitely come back to try other dishes. This is a hidden gem. read more

We decided to go out in a date and support our community small business. It made me sad that Covid-19 had us all worry. We call ahead to make sure wasn't crowded. Walk in as we were the only ones there. The service was fast and pleasant. It made me smile that they still received a lot of carry out orders. I order the Chicken Pat Thai. It was a huge portion, great flavor (spicy). I took some home for lunch of course! I'm glad they still around as is one of my favorite Thai restaurants around here. read more

Yindee Thai Restaurant - Festive! - Thai Near Me - Springfield, Virginia

My mom is a big fan of Thai food specifically Pad Thai. So we decided to take her to try out Yindee Thai's lunch special! While entering service was very fast, we got the Pad Thai Pork Lunch Special Spice level 1 and Pad Thai Shrimp Lunch Special Spice Level 3. When ordering with the lunch special you get a spring roll. The Spring roll wasn't bad, but not amazing. It was provided a nice texture to the overall meal. The Pad Thai came out pretty fast, a bit unusual since the eggs were on top of the pad thai instead of being mixed in. The Pad Thai was good though I liked how it was sweet, and just spicy enough for me. Overall, the lunch special was definitely worth it, and I would come back to get it again. I recommend what ever spice level you think about getting go 1 under. Since the Pad Thai spice level 3 was too spicy for my mom, so she ended up sharing with my sister. read more

We order takeout for a family of four and are always impressed with the quality of food and the size of dinner portions. Our go to dishes are Pad Thai, Pad Kra Prow (Basil Chicken), and Chicken Fried Rice. I haven't eaten in the restaurant, but the decor is very nice. Highly recommend if you are in the area! read more

Service was very good and the place is attractive, but the food was not very good. The garden rolls were salad in a wrap - not bad to look at, but nothing special, and the sesame sauce added very little (the more common peanut sauce might have been better). The green curry sauce had minimal flavor, which is strange, and the chicken in it was over cooked. The crispy basil chicken was also pretty flavorless, including the tamarind sauce. I will grant that we tried to limit the spice/heat, but that should not eliminate flavor. read more

I got the Pad Thai. If I hadn't be so hungry, I wouldn't have eaten it. The noodles were basically spaghetti and the sauce tasted like it had ketchup in it. Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. The crispy roll with dipping sauce was delicious Atmosphere is fine. Waitress is fine. But NEVER AGAIN! read more

We stopped coming here because the food quality had gone downhill. Recently I met a friend for lunch. They offer a $10 lunch deal that's an entree and an Eggroll. Service was SO slow and we were the 2nd table at noon on a weekday. It wasn't for lack of staff because there were about 2-3 people working the floor. Both of us ordered noodle dishes. Our small Eggroll arrived with a nice fresh salad. The Eggroll was super duper greasy. That's when it went downhill. We noticed the 3rd table that arrived a good 15 minutes after us got their food within minutes of sitting. Our noodle dishes still not present. It was probably a good 15-20 minutes before the server brought our food. The food was COLD. The noodles were sticking to each other. I ordered a tofu Pad See Eu dish and I counted 5 pieces of tofu. They tried to decorate or insult our dishes with a floppy fried egg. Honestly, the worst dish of this kind. My friend had a Pad Thai that probably had 3 pieces of chicken and that floppy egg. I'm not sure why the quality deteriorated but wow. Now I know why we stopped coming here. read more

Worst Thai food I have ever had. Cute and cozy restaurant with a full bar. However, we were very disappointed. We ordered their Yindee Thai specialty: the Honey roasted Duck Curry and it was terrible. Old, leathery duck with no flavor. Also, the Ka Prow (Basil Chicken) the Chicken was dry and tasted old. I would never go back. We were not asked how the food was or if we needed anything. The bar was full so I'm guessing the place is better for drinks, not food. read more

Very disappointed! I have been coming here since it's opening and never had an issue with the service. However, today I went to dine in alone today and wasn't served. The place is small and I dine there regularly. I finally walked out after being ignored for 20 minutes while I watched the staff greet and serve everyone but me who entered the restaurant. The restaurant is small and they saw me. They even made eye contact but never came over to take my drink order or serve me in any way. Very disrespectful and unprofessional!!! I won't be giving them any more of my business. What a waste. read more

Very disappointed. My spouse and I have been going to Yindee since they opened and never had an issue with the service. However, my husband went there today to eat alone and wasn't served. He was brought a menu and sat there for 20 minutes while everyone else around him was serviced. He finally got up and left. Sad to see that this restaurant doesn't respect black and brown patrons. I had Yindee Thai for takeout and the service was so nice to us. We got pad thai and it was the perfect spice to us and it was very flavorful yet light. The texture of the noodles was great and it was fresh and hot. Definitely recommend and I will keep in mind to dine in soon. read more

Pleasantly surprised that the food was so good! We love hot and spicy and they met the demand without losing the flavors. The use of spiral cut zucchini instead of wheat or even rice noodles added a level of texture and flavor I was not expecting. The zucchini absorbed like a sponge the sauce (which could have been a little thicker but still so flavorful). The fried tofu had a nice exterior while still having a a soft interior which also held the flavors. I should note that the garden rolls with peanut sauce were fancy but small. Don't get me wrong, they tasted good but still. The drink menu was creative well executed. We tried a few and each were well balanced and tasty with a unique flair of their own. We had the fried banana dessert which was small for the price. I would skip there ice cream as it was low quality with a high air content. This time we attended with a vegetarian friend so we all had vegetarian dishes to share. I look forward to explored the rest of the menu, both vegetarian and meat! read more

The food was above par. But the service was mediocre. I had to ask the person to start my order for appetizers and understand if your restaurant was busy but we were the only couple seated. However, she was busy on her personal phone. Therefore, we ordered a variety of appetizers and our main entree's. The soft music playing in the background created a pleasant atmosphere with the exception of being neglected by the hostess for basic needs for water refill. However, she brought the bill out before without hesitation after providing take home boxes. read more

I ordered the Pad Thai for delivery. It was delivered on time, but it was the worst I had ever had. It was dry and gummy. There were no vegetables (such as green onions) and very few peanuts in it. I also ordered spring rolls. They were cooked in old stale oil. I ate one and that was it for me. The entire order cost plus delivery fees came to a little over $40. This was money wasted. read more
