Service was great, but unfortunately, the food fell a little flat for me. I felt like it wasn't seasoned at all! I probably will not be back.

Nice and quiet dinner time here. Service was friendly and fast. The calamari tasted wonderful. The summer rolls were also delightful. The tables were made of hand carved wood and interesting.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice - perfect for any occasion from family get-together, colleagues or even for date night. I ordered pad Thai and it was lackluster. The flavor was lacking, the spice was lacking and key ingredients like tofu/bean curd were lacking. The staff seemed nice in terms of the service. You are really paying for the ambiance at this place.

One of the best Thai food restaurants in the area. This place is quiet most evenings in this sleepy pocket of Old Town. The service is always fantastic. Don't miss the chili paste fried rice and very well made Thai soups. Most of the entrées have generous portions for dinner sizes. The cocktails are good too. I can't recommend it enough.

The food here is always super delicious. The staff is friendly and services pretty quick. Warning the mild is not very mild haha. Also good cocktails

We were out in the Kingstowne area and decided in sine Thai. Really enjoyed the food and the server was very attentive. The restaurant was decorated nicely. It was a pleasant surprise really enjoyed it definitely will be back.

I haven't visited Pasara since prior to Covid and I always got the pineapple fried rice. This was the first thing I ordered and its still just as great! We also ordered the crispy salmon which was amazing and I would definitely recommend. The spring rolls were just ok and I ordered ginger tea which was good but a little lukewarm. I would still recommend based on the main entree, the outstanding customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

BLUF - This is a go-to place for the family. Overall quality of vegetables and meat outstanding. Crunch on broccoli, onion, pepper, compliments softened core. Staff timely and considerate. Details - Ask if you want to deviate from menu they will accommodate. Chef's skill at meeting spicy expectations is excellent and they do not overcook the dish which is refreshing and doesn't rob nutrients from the dish. Good for family and friends.

Ok food but not going to bring me back. It's very nice inside and could be a date place if ambiance is more important than the food There's free parking nearby which is nice and the service is great, but found the food (entree) underwhelming. The crispy spring rolls were pretty good. The Tom Kha soups were absolutely delicious and I therefore thought the main meals would be equally delicious, but weren't. My wife had pad Thai, which was very sweet, and not in a good way. My drunken spaghetti (which was recommended) was average in flavor and had no spice to it.

Mediocre Thai joint with bland food and sub par customer service. We went before the dinner rush on a weekend, there were at least three waiters and about four or five parties at best. We ordered our food but the waitress misunderstood and failed to check with us. She brought the wrong appetizer and then tried to insist she was right. A summer roll is not the same as egg/spring roll. She also didnt check on us and instead was busy chatting away with her colleagues- not something to do when dinner rush is underway. Fried rice and green curry very run of the mill and lacked authentic flavor. Will not be my regular go to thai place. Quality degraded over the last decade and not the Thai place I frequented 15yrs ago.

They walked us to our table and was so accommodating. On an extremely hot day like today (103F) it was refreshing to walk into a nice cool and nicely lit and decorated place. It was very relaxing. The parking was off the street and is free for 2 hours. There were plenty of spots available just at the front of the restaurant. We ordered the Whole Fried Flounder and the Massaman Curry with shrimp and for dessert the Magnolia Creme Crepe. I am partial to good Crepe dessert... and this place offered different selection. A plus! The food was freshly prepared and was very tasty. I would recommend trying this place out. You will not be disappointed.

4 stars for the food 4 stars for the ambiance…read more3 stars for the service on the water refills, which was sporadic at best. Last night I brought a couple of friends over to the Sisters Thai in Alexandria ... because I had had good experiences in the past. We were seated at our table of four, and had to wait 20 mins to be served water from the start. That was unusual - and although the restaurant was busy it was not packed, so the delay was odd. We ordered the food which was great - high recommendations for the branzino, the crispy eggplant, the roti curry and the mango & sticky rice. The water service was challenging; at one point during the meal when a server came to do a refill, she spilled the water on the table near the food dishes - apologized - but didn't clean up! (It was not a few drops - it was a sizeable amount that warranted wiping up since our group had to reach over for the food dishes in the center). She took off after right after spilling it - and didn't come back! So I eventually caught the eye of another sever and asked for the water to be wiped down. The evening went on - the meal really noteworthy ... but water was clearly becoming more and more of an issue - and this was critical especially considering that the roti curry was spicy! After yet another 20 minutes of trying to catch the eye of anyone with a pitcher I had to get up and request water from the bar area. So although the evening was pleasant it was somewhat disruptive with this lack of coordination - which is really is a basic of any establishment. I would go back again for the food - although I'm disappointed that I brought friends along to try the restaurant and the service was not as expected. As I write this I want to add that if it was a one-off with a water delay I would understand - but it was consistently overlooked, without a spillage being wiped promptly that started to create a less than satisfactory experience. Thank you in advance to the Sisters Thai for more training for their staff on enhancing the customer experience.

Deliciousness - 3/5 Happiness - 5/5…read more A classy restaurant right in the heart of Shirlington. The menu is interesting, having a lot of Thai classics (papaya salad, drunken noodles and curries) with some more inventive and playful selections (like a General Tso's-flavored dish, a fajita-like sizzling steak dish, Thai-inspired wings). While nothing was bad, the food was uneven. The crying tiger steak (great name!) was flavorful and beautifully cooked. The drunken noodles had plenty of flavor, but was a bit light on the chicken and I wish the noodles had been a but more al dente. The basil chicken, however, had an off-putting, tangy flavoring. I also liked that they gave us four types of hot sauce/peppers to help give a new zing to each bite. The spicy mango margarita was also quite delicious. The staff was excellent. The waitress was friendly and kept up some good banter. They offered my daughter a free drink (she declined). They checked in on us regularly and made sure we were happy and full.

Parking was a challenge due to the major construction project they are doing in the neighborhood but we were able to find a spot and walk over from a few block away. We were seated right away and placed our order with the friendly server. They got my order wrong and had to remake it (ordered shrimp and got chicken). My friend enjoyed her curry chicken over rice and Thai iced tea. I also really liked the salad I ordered - only wish was there were double the skewers of shrimp, even if they need to raise the price. The food was good and they didnt rush us out despite being close to their closing time. I look forward to returning with my friend in the future!

Great Food....& Ambiance to match!…read more I am slightly obsessed with visiting Thai restaurants around the DMV and this one does not disappoint. Set in Alexandria, off the 495 corridor, is Pasara Thai restaurant featuring a casual dining experience and vibe with interesting tables with wood carvings and artwork throughout. The lighting is nice and you can find intimate settings for a date night or tables large enough for friends and family. The food menu is crazy big, extensive and seems to have something for everyone. The food is usually quite spicy, so if it isn't your thing, as for mild flavoring! Everything I have ordered from the pad Thai, curry Thai dishes and roasted duck have been delicious....full of flavor and of great portions for the price point. This time around, I placed an order to go for dinner later, and the staff was so nice. I ordered Roasted Duck Basil & Fried Crab-Shrimp Balls. The duck dish was one of the best I have ever had. It had the right amount of spice, heat and flavor. Not to mention, loaded with stir-fry vegetable and a sauce that was finger-licking good.....simply, delicious!! My favorite dishes thus far, is the Pad Thai....very popular here and the Spicy Seafood Pad See Ew. The Tom Yum was solid and quite flavorful, a flux of tangy lemongrass with the oniony sweetness of steeped scallions, and enoki mushrooms to provide some heartiness. The Pad Thai Mun Goong was a chef specialty pad Thai made with stir fried rice noodle, prawns shrimp tomalley oil (a crucial element for this version), egg and bean sprouts, naturally topped with green onions, peanuts and a lime for squeezing, and this also was quite phenomenal. Savory, sweet, a little tingle of sourness from the citrus in the mid-palate, and the juicy, briny shrimp balancing the dense carbs and rich flavorful sauce.
