I've been seeing this place for a while. We finally decided to stop in tonight. The huge bar is in middle of restaurant with tvs above to watch the games. We were seated in the dining area in between the bar and the bar and the outside patio. We ordered the she crab soup and calamari to start. There is a full size bar with beer, wine, and plenty of spirits. The lemon lavender Sangria is refreshingly pleasing. Our server was very attentive without hovering. Shout out to Joseph!!! The main dishes ordered were the fish sandwich with a side of spinach and a bacon cheeseburger with a side of parmesan fries. All the food was super good except the fries were not hot. All in all the experience was truly good. We will return soon to check out other dishes.

The food is OK. About the same as any other restaurant of this caliber. The pricing is a tad steep for the portion sizes. Parking isn't great, you have to park around back and it's a bit of a walk to the entrance. The service is always great though, with the staff often tag-teaming especially with large groups.

My colleagues and I come here for corporate teambuilding lunches, birthday lunches and happy hours. It's not unusual for us to spend many hours and a large amount of money at this establishment. The area surrounding my place of work does not have many nice dining options in my opinion, so I'm thankful for this restaurant. My go to items on the menu: Crispy Calamari Cheesecake Spring Rolls Firecracker Shrimp Pappardelle Bolognese Crispy Fish Sandwich Go to cocktail is the Pomegranate Martini. Highly recommend if you like sweeter cocktails.

This food was amazing! We came during brunch and everything was awesome! Service was good and the restaurant was clean. I've never had a bad experience!

Went to Burtons Grill & Bar in Northern Virginia for a friend's 60th birthday. It was such a nice, chill atmosphere -- cozy, clean, and family-friendly. The wait staff was great, very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was amazing! We tried a few different things -- the bag of donuts was delicious, and that little hint of lemon in the icing made them perfect. The General Tso cauliflower was surprisingly good -- crispy and full of flavor. The bread service was warm and fresh. Three of us had the short rib hash, and it was tender and hearty. We also ordered the Skillet French toast and the salmon, both really good. If I had to rate the dishes: Donuts - 10/10 Cauliflower - 10/10 Bread - 8/10 Short rib hash - 8/10 There wasn't a single bad thing to say about this place. Everything came out hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. Definitely a restaurant worth checking out -- there's something on the menu for everyone.

This was a random stop for us and I didn't know what to expect. It was lunch time and I wanted some American food. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.

Short Rib Grilled Cheese with Side Sweet Potato Fries - the fries were best the sandwich was nice

Service was excellent. They just needed to work on learning the menu to answer questions around how dishes are prepared. It was a bit freezing inside the restaurant, which was uncomfortable. The short rib grilled cheese was sloppy, tasty, but it wasn't my fave. The sweet potato fries were bomb however! The crispy soft crunch and they brought me honey for dipping which was so yum. I love how they make those fries. Best I've ever had! Pretty location and huge bar + dining space with lots of tvs for entertaining. Go, enjoy!

Second visit in as many nights. We split the Short Rib, grilled cheese and the California Chicken sandwich. In my opinion, the California chicken sandwich was the better of the two. That sandwich had some pepper jack cheese on it some pesto which was banging. The picture of the short rib doesn't do it justice as this is really a French dip style sandwich. It was very good and each meal came with fries.

A good time at happy hour!

We went all in on happy hour and tried almost everything on the menu (okay, except the tomato gratin ). And let me tell you -- everything was SO good! I ordered an espresso martini, but I'm not a fan of cold brew. I asked if they could make it with fresh espresso instead, and the bartender absolutely nailed it. Huge win for me! I love when a restaurant is willing to accommodate guests -- it really makes the experience feel personalized. Now, if I'm being honest, the service was a little hit or miss. This was my first visit and I came in excited, but our server wasn't the warmest. A few more smiles and a bit more welcoming energy would have gone a long way. I'm big on customer service, and it felt at times like we might've been more of an inconvenience than guests. That said, we still tipped 20% -- everyone has off days, and I believe in giving grace. Still, it's important to remember the guest experience matters. On a positive note, the manager, Manny, stopped by our table with a big smile and checked in on us. I love seeing hands-on management -- you don't always see that these days, and it definitely stood out in a good way. Prices were reasonable, and for a Tuesday evening, the place had a nice steady crowd -- not packed, but a great vibe with a solid turnout. Overall, great food and drinks, a few service tweaks away from being an even better experience! I'd definitely come back.

For my gluten free (GF) folks...this is a spot for you!!! I walked in and was immediately impressed when they asked (without prompting), "would you like the regular or gluten free menu?" I feel like that should be asked everywhere, lol! The food was absolutely delicious, and my waitress knew what she was talking about with regard to GF - this place is very clearly accommodating and knowledgable. In general, the ambiance was great - I think the attentiveness and understanding of my GF needs overshadowed everything though and was truly the best part. Will 1000% be back!

Enjoyed a celebration dinner at burtons on a weeknight. We made a reservation in advance and were glad we did so, it was surprisingly full for a Tuesday! We started with an appetizer, the tuna tar tar, which was incredible. For entrees we enjoyed the crab cakes with Parmesan truffle fries and the chicken risotto. I can't help get the crab cakes every time I visit a burtons location, they are just that good. It's full of crab meat, not fillers. Service was decent and they gave us a card for our celebration! We'll be back!

Let me start and say the staff, Top level, I believe his name was Alex or Adam. This was my first time at this restaurant I was sure what to expect at the table there was She-crab soup a fish sandwich and fries and a Ceasar salad and Greek chicken Salad. The meals can in a time manner, however I which they had a bread & butter service.. The food was good I am more impressed by the service from the staff

We were welcomed with a celebratory glass of Prosecco and Tina's delivery was so welcoming and hospitable. Tina took the bar to another level when it comes to managers welcoming and checking in on their guest! Hands down!!! She needs to host a training for area managers...anyhoo- We started off with bruschetta and a Margherita pizza, and the fried egg plant. We were happy with all. Our first round of cocktails consisted of drinks suggested by our server Marco. The Hugo Spritz for me, strawberry margarita and the honey dew cucumber cocktail...all were excellent choices! For our entrees we enjoyed the sea bass, the shrimp capellinia and the fruiti Del Mar. 10/10 for our entrees...no complaints. We even tried just about all the desserts. Midnight at Tuscany, Lemon Mascarpone Cake, which was my favorite of them all, the zappoles needed some kid of butter in the mixture...was a bit too bland for me...and the ricotta strawberry cheesecake. Really everything was delicious! And of course I ended with a delicious cup of coffee and I sampled all the delicious sweet goodies. We will be back sooner than later!! Happy Yelping!!!

I'm originally from Buffalo and one of the greatest things about that city is the food. In fact, we…read moreoften joke that the thing that keeps people in Buffalo is the food and the sports. Buffalo pizza is a unique thing and accompanied by wings, some blue cheese and celery it elevates it to an equivalent of the British Sunday roast. It's something I would have with my family after a Bills or Sabres game on a Sunday and the thing is, there's hundreds of good pizza parlors in Buffalo because they all know how to make good pizza and good wings. Being a Buffalo ex-pat, Buffalo pizza is one of the things I miss most about Buffalo and I would do a lot of things to have some good, authentic, Buffalo style pizza. So when I came to Alexandria on business, on a whim I just did a Yelp search for Buffalo pizza to see if there was anything in the greater area and I found Baddpizza. Talking with the gentleman who cooked my pizza and wings, I learned that the owner came from years of working at a famous parlor in Buffalo called Bocce club. The smell and even the style of this restaurant was very pizza parlor to me. It brought back memories of walking up to a window or to an inside counter, ordering and heading back home to spend time with good food, good company and hopefully a good result for the Bills or Sabres! I was pleased to see Buffalo was represented well, with a big "716" decal, a standing buffalo with the city skyline on it and even, a sharp eye would spot a box of Josh's Jaqs cereal, a long running tradition in Buffalo to have a hometown athlete on a box of cereal. I mean truly, the only thing that would have elevated the space was a TV playing highlights of Rick Jeanneret calls or maybe a box of Flutie Flakes to go alongside of JA17's cereal. The food came out piping hot. There were plenty of peppers to take with you to add if you like that but the pizza came out exactly as I'd remember Buffalo pizza. The cheese is incredible, the pepperoni char absolutely spectacular, the sauce a slightly sweet tomato sauce that just reminded me of home. Seeing a lot of the reviews on here I felt a lot of them were harsh. Certainly, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but for Buffalonians, pizza and wings is a staple and they hit the nail on the head with an authentic experience 388 miles from home in Alexandria. I don't expect everyone to have the same reverence to Buffalo style pizza as I do, or we do, but to say it was flavorless is ridiculous. While I'm sure some of their specialty pizza's could leave more to be desired, if you stick with the classics, especially with charred pepperoni which is my absolute favorite topping, you will not have a bad time there. One tip on Yelp that I didn't listen to, but should have was that the sauce on the wings is not as spicy as you might think. I ordered medium which tends to be my go to and I felt it was more of a mild. If you like it a bit hotter, I'd say get them a stage hotter than you normally would. In fact if you get a double order of wings, you can pick two flavors, so go with your normal and then go at least a stage up. Also, important to note that as far as pizza parlor wings go, when you take them home they will not be as good and crispy. If you're expecting fresh crisp wings and have a drive or bus ride to go eat them, you will have to understand that wings won't keep. There's also not a lot of room to eat. And to be fair, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to eat there, but the gentleman cooking the pizza said it was no problem. But at least at this location, this might be a bring home, picnic or come with one or two because the restaurant doesn't seat many. I will also say that I took public transportation all the way from Old Town Alexandria to the restaurant and it was easy. It took a little more time than if I had a car, but it is doable to come via train and bus. And here's the thing, whether it's Chicago, New York, Detroit or Buffalo, clearly not every style is going to be your favorite. But I think if you want to experience something maybe new to you, or for those Buffalonians calling DC and the suburbs home or people like me on business and just missing a taste of home, you should go to one of Baddpizza's locations and get a taste of home. And to top this off, head next door to Wegmans to complete your Buffalo experience. Grab a couple other Buffalo staples like Weber's Mustard, Salens hot dogs, Bison chip dip (the best French onion dip you can get) and so much more. People will laugh at me for going here instead of heading to the Smithsonian or any one of the famous landmarks or museums DC has to offer. But when you have a chance to taste home and remind yourself of some of the great times you have with great people, or if you're new to Buffalo style pizza and want to create new memories with the people and sports teams you love, then give Badpizza a try. I'm so glad I did because my night was nourished by great food and great memories. Thanks Baddpizza!

More of a 4 or 4.5 but thats not an option…read more Unique pies! A TON of cheese, but its actually mozzarella and not some "cheese product." The pepperoni are among the best ive had. Perfectly thick and crispy! The crust is kinda like a thin pan crust. Chewy and thick, almost like a flattened Detroit style crust. Sauce is thick too, pretty plain. Wings are fried crispy so they dont become flaccid when doused in the sauce. Exactly the way I like them!

We called our bank, and the bank confirmed that we had already been charged and told us they could not simply reverse the transaction. At that point, we decided not to take our food and to leave. Because the owner was claiming he hadn't received our payment, I specifically asked him to simply write on a piece of paper that we were leaving without receiving our order. I wanted documentation showing that we had not received any food in case we needed to dispute the charge. He refused to put that in writing. He repeatedly told us that this had never happened in his 20 years in business, even though this restaurant is under new ownership. When we continued trying to resolve it, he told us it wasn't his problem, told us to call the police, and refused to work with us. We ultimately disputed the charge with our bank because we were charged approximately $30 and received no food. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that, according to the information we subsequently received through our dispute, the merchant responded by claiming that we DID receive the food. We did not.
