    Chicken sausage and eggs

Very okay experience! The staff is very kind and the food is decent but a little pricey. The chicken sausage is very thin and the loaded Belgian waffle wasn't as "loaded" as I imagined but it was still a good fluffy waffle. I also didn't care for their mashed potatoes.

For this location, there is plenty of parking; and the restaurant is huge. It has plenty of seating areas; and the inside is decorated nicely. The food was delicious. The server was OK...

Decent diner, I was just too hungover to enjoy it. Omelettes were great and their sausage was just what I needed. Their fountain coke revived me and was perfectly carbonated. Great spot to pop in and have some breakfast.

The food never disappoints whenever I'm in the area and the service is always great. The ambiance and energy are light and welcoming. One of my favorites. The chicken's marinade surely made my day. I also had the New England Clam Chowder which was delicious, as well.

Executive is a fallback option of ours for brunch or dinner when nothing else around seems right for the moment. We've been coming here for a long long time. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. Service has improved the past year or two. Before, service could be hit or miss. Executive Diner is good about letting you make substitutions. One of my favorite items is the grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. I do have them hold the tomatoes, because those are a bit much on the sandwich. I enjoy breakfast here, they have especially good bacon. However I'm not a fan of their home fries, which are hefty chunks of sliced potato with a few pieces of red and bell pepper. The good news is that the home fries do not automatically come with breakfast, you can get fruit or grits instead. And instead of toast, you can get a biscuit. There is one item I deem "not recommended" and that is their side garlic bread. I see the garlic and some oregano, but all I taste is some seasoning I've never had before and it tastes like somebody ground up flower petals and seasoned the bread with it. Just awful! Final thought: I'm not sure how that kooky layout of the men's room came to be.

I don't know how I have not reviewed this place yet because I've been here so many times. I don't usually have to wait because service is pretty quick, the only times I think that you would have to wait is a Sunday morning for breakfast rush because a lot of people from the church next-door come over. The portions are big. The quality of the food is great and the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. Their French onion soup is massive in one of my favorite things here. I also love their burger and club sandwich. I will say that the consistency for their pancakes is hit or miss, sometimes they're really fluffy and light and other times they're really dense and dry. I wouldn't recommend coming later at night because I did a few times and they were cleaning the floors and there was a horrible bleach smell throughout the restaurant and it definitely turned me off from wanting to eat my food.

I've been here once before but I think it was before Covid, so it was time to try again. The breakfast bowl with the jalapeño sausage sounded tasty and it was. I did need to add some spices and ketchup but otherwise I was happy. I'd come here again and try other food.

Came on Monday 7/29 after our original breakfast choice was closed. It was around 1130-12pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated immediately but it took some time to be waited on. Not even so much as a "someone will be with you shortly" or anything similar. Due to this delay we were ready to order once our waiter did arrive since we had time to go over the menu. We ordered: Shrimp and grits - 9/10 - the grits weren't cooked all the way so there were some bits in it but overall the dish was good. The sauce had great flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Grilled cheese added bacon- my friends dish - said it was decent enough as it's hard to mess up a classic. Once we got our food, similar to my last experience, our waitress just disappeared. I mean we literally didn't know where she was for about 30mins, even after we'd eaten our food and were ready to leave we couldn't find her. I don't understand how you disappear from people, especially after getting their meals without a check in or anything. I won't come back just off that alone, something about that level of inattentiveness is off putting for me. Food will be decent but service seems to be lacking here.

Diner me baby! Love, love trying new places. Especially ones that people rave about. This place is located right next to a church so I anticipated it being packed but we got a table with no wait. I ordered the chicken and waffle. I love a light waffle but this one was heavy, although good! The egg was made perfect. My friend got the smoked salmon Benedict which looked amazing. Coffee was so good! Definitely a cool little diner. I'm sure I'll return!

Went here yesterday and honestly a solid experience. Server was knowledgeable. I didn't like that I had to ask for my food after I saw at least two people who ordered after me receive theirs but our food still came out hot so no real complaints. Manager even assisted with the table. Adequate parking and reasonable prices.

The new chef and sommelier make the updated Majestic an incredible addition to the Alexandria restaurant scene. You can go for comfort food - a burger or roasted half chicken - or you can go for intriguing New American food with a Mediterranean twist. It's all terrific. GM and sommelier Jason can suggest great wine pairings by the glass - interesting, high quality wines that bring out the best in both food and wine but that aren't budget busters. Our group especially enjoyed the scallops and saffron rice (a beautifully plated dish of rice surrounded with scallops, mussels, clams and persillade/nduja sauce); the grilled salmon (a hearty piece of fresh fish complemented with a generous serving of corn, pickled ramps, roasted shishito peppers, peas and tomato relish); mouthwatering braised brisket arancini; and crispy artichokes. The Parker House rolls were a classic indulgence. Our desserts - coconut cake and chocolate mousse - were delicious. Thank you to chef Santiago, GM Jason, and server Fiona for such a special evening!

Haven't been to Chadwicks in a while, so it was nice to convene for a recent brunch to catch up with some friends. While there is limited outdoor seating, I prefer the upstairs since it's typically quieter, and the abundant windows naturally illuminate the space. The interior is also characterized by nautically themed decor, along with exposed brick walls and hardwood flooring. TBH, this is one of the better Brunch spots in Old Town. There brunch menu is extensive - https://static1.squarespace.com/static/68d065ce6d80726524c2bca9/t/6a3d8efe5e4fbd1439f0bc1a/1782419198238/Brunch.pdf - and has all of traditional breakfast offerings of pancakes, french toast, a variety of eggs, sausage/bacon/ham, etc. While there are also lunch type savory options such as sandwiches and chicken and pasta entrees, I opted for the classic biscuits and gravy. I don't normally eat this type of heavy carb heavy dish...but every now and then, it's not so bad. The plate arrived with two buttermilk biscuits, country bacon gravy, two sunny side up two eggs, and home fries. The gravy was nice and thick with pieces of sausage bits, but I found the biscuits on the dry side, rather than buttery and flaky. Eggs were prepared properly and had that satisfying "ooze" when the yolks were popped. Home fries tasted previously frozen and could've used a few more minutes in the fryer. Service was a bit slow as there was only one staff taking orders and delivering food. But he was friendly and would circle back around to check on our group frequently. Pair your meal with a few choices of cocktails (I ordered a $5 mimosa) and Chadwicks brunc h is a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Be sure to inform your server ahead of time, if separate checks are desired. One brunch entree, one mimosa with tax and tip totalled to about $25.

Service was good. Most of the food, but not all, was very good. What receives high marks were the blackened catfish, fried green tomatoes and chicken quesadillas. The burger was deemed decent, but the crispy fries not so much (I don't know anyone that really likes crispy fries). I had high hopes for the buttermilk-fried chicken. It came nicely presented with a very good coleslaw and a biscuit with a side of bacon-flavored gravy. The mac and cheese was okay but the macaroni underneath the surface didn't have a lot of flavor. The chicken's seasoning and texture were fine, but I really wish when a restaurant says they have fried chicken it's more than just a filet, like actual bone-in meat. But Chadwick's just does a filet as so many other places do these days. The server forgot my clam chowder starter and it didn't come out until after I had already received my chicken. But I sent the clam chowder back. It was so over the top full of thyme it was inedible. I think that there are enough very decent-looking items on the menu, I would return.

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.
