I came here to experience their Bangerz & Brunch on a Sunday for the first time with my cousin. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the spinach and artichoke dip, Cajun honey chicken 'n biscuit, Big Al's grits, chicken & waffles, fruity pebbles French toast, and a side of home fries. Everything came out flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions that made sharing easy. The fruity pebbles French toast was a standout, and the chicken & waffles were a solid brunch classic done well. Service was smooth and attentive, and the mimosa setup was perfect for a relaxed brunch. Overall, this was a great spot for a laid-back Sunday with good food, music, and company. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Alexandria with a fun vibe and a solid menu, Mason Social is definitely worth checking out.

Went to Mason Social for their DJ brunch and I was not disappointed!! The DJ played a good mix of classic pop and new updated tunes. And it wasn't too loud in there, which I appreciated. There were so many menu items that sounded good to me, it was hard to choose. The fruity pebble French toast jumped out at me. It was soooo yummy. The fruity pebbles were crunchy and colorful with the fruit on top as well. So nostalgic! Another stand out was the brisket hash. The brisket was pull apart tender and so flavorful. It's really good with scrambled eggs on top. The big Al's grits were also creamy and poached eggs added a nice richness on top. One little issue - I had an egg shell on my plate. Whoops. My friend got the steak and eggs and they were both cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be back!!

Went in looking for lunch, but brunch menu had to suffice this time. Sat at the bar and Francisco took great care of us. Restaurant is clean and well decorated, looked like plenty of high top take seating in the dining room area, the bar is semi-separated... not sure if one section has different hours than the other. Bottomless mimosas were in the menu, so how do you say no? Juice options of OJ, pineapple, grapefruit... $22pp, well worth it, we got our money's worth. BLTA was a hit with the wife, great lunch/brunch option, especially with the mixed greens. We took a look at the lunch and dinner menus and will certainly be back to give them a try. Regardless, food quality was solid and we definitely got to smell a lot of the great menu options.

Went for brunch, which was pretty busy, but worked out because we had a reservation. I got the steak and eggs while my friend got chicken and waffles. The steak and eggs were good. The steak was tender for the most part, just hit chewer sections a few times. My friend didn't like the chicken and waffles, but she ate them because she was starving. She said the chicken was dry and stringy. She did let the server know after that she didn't enjoy her meal. They were very apologetic and said they would have replaced the meal if they'd known, but offered a free dessert or to take 1/2 off the meal. I'd go again. If you're looking for something quiet, this isn't the place for you, but if you enjoy a lively atmosphere, you should check it out.

Mason social has become quickly become my new favorite place for their Sunday brunches. I love their Dirty South, BLT, their chicken and waffles, honey, chicken and biscuits, steak and eggs and cocktails. I do recommend you go as early as you can. It's a nice atmosphere and customer service is excellent, street parking can be a little tight so get there as early as you can! This will be your new favorite place to go eat some great food in old town.

I happened to be in the area running errands and was looking for a brunch spot that is dog friendly. It was a beautiful day so I didn't mind sitting outside in an uncovered area. And even though their outdoor seating is on the street, it's not terribly noisy. The host staff were very friendly and brought out a fresh bowl of water for my dog without having to ask. Their brunch menu was a refreshing list of options that were familiar but with a flavorful flair. For example, they have a "pick two" Benedict. I got the Mason egg sandwich which is a take on a BLT with egg and a tasty aioli. Great brunch option in a sea of choices in Alexandria.

Soooo good!!! I never realized I passed this place so much. Excited that my friend and I decided to come here for happy hour one day. Our serve Eduardo was so nice and efficient! Parking can be tricky, because it's street parking. However, I definitely suggest you all take a chance at stopping by this place. The restaurant is so cute inside, and the food was spectacular. All food items are pictured in this review and it was all delicious!

We live right by Mason Social so I'm not sure why we aren't here all the time. Our server/bartender Trish should always pick the music. Killer kale salad and great (surprise!) 50% off wine bottles on Wednesday! Will be back

Mason social was great!!! There was no wait, we were seated immediately. It's a very casual atmosphere with sports games played on the tvs in the bar. We started with the spinach artichoke dip which was AMAZING (it does have bigger pieces of artichoke as a warning, but it was still delish). For mains we got the jambalaya pasta and the Peruvian chicken which were both executed great! Definitely high quality food

I came here for lunch with a friend. Located in Old Town the outside is cute and quaint and a little unassuming like most restaurants in this area. When I walked inside, it was not busy at all. There are two bar areas one in the front and one in the back, and general seating throughout. The service was great. This was our first time dining here and the waitress provided us with great recommendations. I will be honest, I was a little underwhelmed with the ambiance. We were seated in the back and during the day if you're not sitting next to the window or directly under the soft lighting it felt a little drab but overall the place was clean and cute and I could see this being a GREAT spot for happy hour or dinner in the evening. Once our food came out...DELICIOUS! Everything was tasty!! Will definitely come back. We ordered a bottle of rose, two meals and an appetizer and our total was less than $100 which in this area and economy is a win lol. Will definitely come back.

Decent neighborhood spot for happy hour. Our server was friendly, although one of our food orders didn't make it in, so it's a good idea to double-check. We tried the potato skins, wings, meatballs, an old fashioned, and an espresso martini, all from the happy hour menu. Everything was just okay but fair for the price. The bar was packed when we arrived, but happy hour pricing is valid throughout the restaurant, including the outdoor seating. Solid choice for something casual and low-key.

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

We were seated inside, which had a decent amount of seating. I thought the restaurant was cute, and it had a nice ambience. We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.
