Located under Kisso Asian Bistro in Old Town Alex, this place has all the cool vibes and strong drinks you need! I was quickly greeted as I walked into the room. It is small but the atmosphere is super chill. The drinks will have you feeling like you're on the moon after standing up, too! I only popped in for a quick drink before moving on to my next location but will be back to try more drinks and some food, too! My bartender was awesome, too!

Great customer service, the atmosphere is super cool and retro, and the food is pretty good as well. Bathrooms were very clean. I had the best tequila espresso martini and the lychee martini will have me coming back for another round. It's the perfect, hidden bar on King St, great for a late night cocktail and light grub.

Such a cute lil vibe you wouldn't even know it's there actually! The services was great! I'll be back to try the food because everything sounded like it would be great! It gives speakeasy vibes!

Great Bartenders very knowledgeable. I tried drinks I would never dare to try and they were amazing and the ambiance is .

Had a couple drinks during happy hour. No food on this visit. The server was nice, they take their time making drinks. It's honestly the sign of a great craft cocktail bar. Take your time! Make it nice. Espresso martini was fire. Great composition and the flavor was authentic. No additive feels. I also had the Mazzura Spritz. Very nice composition there. Aftertaste is there but not nearly as much as an Aperol spritz straight up. No service in the basement so say your last words before entering below

Casa Luna is a tucked away speakeasy like bar with amazing service and bartenders and mixologists located on King St in Old Town, Alexandria. I've had this spot saved for a while in my bookmarks on Yelp for a while. I visited on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed. Probably due to the recent cold front December brought the DMV. My friend and I sat at the bar and were greeted by Andrew. He took our order and made us the best drinks! We started with a French 75 and Oaxaca Old Fashioned. I really enjoyed my old fashioned. It was the perfect drink for a cold night. I had the Layover because I'm also a gin fan. It's Casa Luna's play at an Aviation. Andrew made us a sample of a Japanese vodka espresso martini as well. I usually get mine made with bourbon but this was delicious!! Casa Luna also offers happy hour from 6-8pm during the week. They offer some pretty nice selections! I'll definitely be back and I'm happy I found this gem in Old Town. Ask for Andrew when you visit!

Underground speakeasy that shares a kitchen with Kisso Asian Bistro above. Really cool space theme and well decorated space with chill vibes. Really love the place and the staff were super friendly. Not the biggest place but it doesn't seem like it gets too busy. The food was delicious, fish was fresh. The Singaporean noodles were a little bit too salty but it still hit the spot. Lots of asian inspired cocktails that I really enjoyed! Would love to go back to try more of their drinks!

I visited Casa Luna on a Sunday evening with a friend. It was pretty empty when we arrived but quickly filled up. This cute little cocktail bar, tucked in the bottom of a building, offers custom drinks crafted to your liking. Although it was understaffed that day, and service was a bit slow, the quality of the drinks more than made up for it. Our bartender--who might also be the owner--was fantastic. If you gave him a general taste profile, he'd create a delicious custom drink based on that. We also ordered sushi rolls from the restaurant above, which were tasty. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out for unique, delectable cocktails!

This place is such a vibe!! Didn't know it existed, but now I'm glad I do. It's not a true speakeasy that's very secluded, but it has that feel! The name is visible, so you'll easily find it. It's cozy and date night worthy! Overall, the service was great! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted right away. On a Friday night, the place was packed. We sat at the bar. I saw like 10 espresso martinis being made, so I figured I had to get one as well. It was so good! The bartenders were all great. Even the owner, Andrew, chatted with us and made sure we were having a great time. I would definitely come back. They're coming up on their one year anniversary! Cheers!

Casa Luna - A Clandestine MCU Speakeasy in the S.H.I.E.L.D Style Avengers Assemble! Our latest mission took us to Casa Luna, a hidden gem nestled beneath a Japanese sushi restaurant on the bustling King Street in Old Town Alexandria. With foot traffic worthy of a New York City crowd, we wisely opted for an Uber to avoid the summer parking madness (although not quite an Avengers Qunjet or the X-Men's Blackbird, it was good enough for government work). Ambiance: Casa Luna radiates a speakeasy vibe with a stunning Asian fusion decor that feels like stepping into a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. hideout, lined with shimmering Infinity Stones to attract even Thanos. The nuanced Asian-inspired lighting and flowers create an atmosphere as enchanting as Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum were now taken over by the new Sorcerer Supreme, Wong and the psychic ninja, Psylocke. The cute blue lights under the bar area and along the wall give the place a modern, softly lit ambiance, perfect for a clandestine meeting of superheroes. The plethora of booths provides options for quiet conversations or livelier gatherings, much like Tony Stark's legendary parties at Stark Tower. Drinks: The cocktails at Casa Luna are crafted with the precision of Hawkeye's aim and the creativity of Wakanda's inventions. Three out of four cocktails were excellent, bursting with vibrant colors and flavors that would make even Star-Lord groove. One cocktail was a bit so-so, but hey, even Thor's adventures have their ups and downs. Overall, the drinks were well-mixed and worthy of a superhero toast. Food: The food, sourced from the Japanese restaurant upstairs, was a culinary delight. The sushi rolls were as fresh and precise as Black Widow's combat moves, while the jalapeño sashimi delivered a kick as powerful as Hulk's smash or Shang Chi's spin kicks. Each bite was a delightful fusion of flavors, much like the teamwork between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Service: The service at Casa Luna was top-notch. The bartender was as friendly and knowledgeable as Captain America, offering excellent recommendations on both drinks and food, the way Cap would make strategic decisions. The server from upstairs, who descended like Spider-Man on a mission, provided impeccable service with a smile. Their combined efforts made our experience as smooth as a Black Panther stealth operation. Casa Luna is a must-visit for any MCU fan looking for a vibrant and fun speakeasy vibe with Asian-inspired elegance. Even Wolverine would choose this place over Madripoor (and it's safe from supervillains, so he wouldn't need to pop his claws). With its enchanting ambiance, delicious drinks, and impeccable service, it's a place worthy of a superhero rendezvous. Five stars for Casa Luna! Make sure to visit this secret spy speakeasy on your next mission to Old Town Alexandria.

We happened across Casa Luna's happy hour sign while exploring old town Alexandria. At first, we thought the sign was for the sushi restaurant at street level. It was not. The sushi host pointed us to a treacherous looking staircase to the basement. Bravely, we went down the stairs and landed on the moon, sort of...! The Catalina speakeasy both an interior design that interprets the surface of the moon. The theme is cute and not overwhelming. Their prices at happy hour were reasonable. We enjoyed lychee martinis that were very flavorful although small. We ordered deep fried chicken "nuggets" that arrived, piping hot, juicy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. The service was effective when it came to the bartender. The owner, however, passed through, welcomed everyone, and checked for quality/feedback. Casa Luna was a good choice and I would recommend.

Cute and intimate speakeasy hidden in plain sight in Old Town Alexandria. Located downstairs of Kisso Asian Bistro, Casa Luna is a great place to stop by and grab delicious drinks and enjoy a dope vibe. Luckily, we had a reservation for the evening because there were many people that came in and I feel were disappointed that they weren't able to find a seat to enjoy what Casa Luna has to offer. Outside of the amazing ambiance and cute decor, they do offer a menu from Kiss Asian Bistro only thing is you have to physically go upstairs to order. But they will bring it down to you when it's ready so that is a plus. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and go check Casa Luna out. You wont be disappointed!

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.
