Highlighting Old Town Alexandria's -- The Parlour!! We came by this week on a whim for a quick drink and snacks, more or less a mid-week brunch....left nearly 4-hours later after sampling almost every cocktail on the menu and several not on the menu, plus the burger, crepes, etc. Our party of four seated at the bar, was taken care of by the multi-faceted Seth (manager, bartender, and coffee maker extraordinaire). Seth made the event -- in capital letters MADE the EVENT. Zero bad cocktails and 100% all awesome ones. Small scene intimate environment with phenomenal decor done by the owner, Madame CoCo, which we'll meet at another time. We look forward to future stopovers for bevs, snacks, and meals plus their array of theme night events!

Service was friendly and quick. Crepes were delicious. Chai with oatmilk was very good. Love that they have outdoor seating as well. Ambiance was super chill and relaxing.

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

It was comfortable and the patrons were all so kind and told us when our drinks were up. Love Del Rey neighborhood for the welcoming vibe as always!! Service: it was very busy but appreciated the bouncer outside that made sure it wasn't over capacity. We had a short wait outside then a longer line emerged. Inside, the bartenders were busy but it wasn't like a 20 mins wait or anything. Note that the kitchen closes at 10pm and they won't let anything slide in at 10pm... Food: no food but the drinks were on point! I would laminate the menus because it was pretty beaten up. I know it's a pop-up but with drinks and food - those paper menus get gross. Definitely a fun vibe and people had the best holiday cheer. Would recommend!

Amazing decorations make the environment for imbibing or having some nibbles a wonderful holiday experience. Among the holiday named drinks the best are the Partridge in a Pear Tree, We Forgot Kevin!, and Baby It's Cold Outside. We were seated inside, which had a decent amount of seating. I thought the restaurant was cute, and it had a nice ambience. We ordered several dishes, starting with the cajun crawfish Mac & cheese, crab stuffed oysters, and charred spring vegetables. All 3 starters were delicious, with my favorite being the crab stuffed oysters. The Mac & cheese was a close second - it was nicely seasoned and perfectly au dente. The vegetables were also very good, and the pita it came with was great. On the breakfast menu, we ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. Both were very good. I haven't had many chicken and waffles, but the chicken was tasty with the hot honey. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful. If I had to pick one though, I would probably pick the shrimp and grits. The service was solid, she was very friendly and came back a decent number of times. I would 100% come back again!

We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.
