Great place to have foods, very good portions and friendly staffs. Definitely going back to try others dishes.

My s/o and I are big fans of Mike's American for their consistency in their food and service. We…read moreprobably come here at least once a month. The actual restaurant feels massive but decorated in a rustic way. I want to give a huge shout out to Alicia. She is such a knowledgeable, approachable, and receptive server. She was on top of refilling drinks, making sure we weren't left alone for too long when we were waiting for our food to come, and just had an overall amazing energy. While we really enjoy all of the servers we've had at Mikes, Alicia takes the cake. If there's any way to provide her with recognition, I would highly vouch for it. She could sell me anything on that menu with that kind of personality! Thank you, Alicia! I'm going to make sure we try to get seated at your table again.

Since the reservation form asked if we were celebrating anything, I hoped we would be placed in a special area or at least somewhere more intimate. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We were led up a staircase, which offered a cool view of the environment, but ended up at a small table in a small high traffic area. Initially, we thought it was a unique experience because of the restaurant's interior design, but we soon realized it was going to be uncomfortable...because heat rises and we were stuck upstairs with so many other people who seemed just as warm as us. It was excessively hot, and I found myself fanning myself with one of the menus at the table. While our server was probably trying his best, the service left much to be desired. We were eager to leave as soon as we arrived. After ordering and enjoying what we could of our meals, which were quite good, we just wanted to leave. However, our server was absent for a long time, leaving us stuck at the table. Instead of being a cute little anniversary dinner, it just turned out to be a disappointing experience at a new restaurant

Today, we were greeted quickly and warmly and shown to a table. My Dad had a huge burger, which he said was good. My sister had the Gumbo- I tasted it and it was delicious! My Caribbean chicken and shrimp would've been delicious, but the chicken was way way too salty! The shrimp and beans and rice were both good. I'm so glad I ordered the sauce on the side because it ratcheted up the salt level to briny. Our server was adequate. The dining room is in a sort of weird U-shaped to me, but and spaced to serve. The friendly Manager stopped by our table to give my little niece a toy, and check on our experience. Our food hadn't come yet, so I didn't share that I didn't enjoy my meal. Even though I didn't enjoy the dish I had, I probably come back to try the burger.

I visited for Mother's Day and unfortunately the experience was just okay. I ordered the spaghetti…read moreand the seasonal cocktail and ended up sending both back. The spaghetti had a curry taste that I personally didn't enjoy, and the cocktail was way too sweet for my liking. Our server was nice, but we didn't receive silverware until after our food had already been served, which was a little frustrating especially since the restaurant was not very crowded at the time. One positive was that parking was very convenient and easy.

Bob and Edith's in Hilltop is new but already very popular. A great addition to the neighborhood!…read more We made our first visit at the height of the brunch frenzy this past Sunday. Despite the crowd, service was pleasant and efficient. This is a compact, rather snug restaurant. We were seated at a two-person table next to another two-person table. It was as if we were seated with the next table because the only separation was a shoulder-high board. But that was okay. JP wanted a low-carb breakfast and he was able to order what he wanted: slice tomatoes with bacon and a poached egg. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy. I also ordered a glass of grapefruit juice. The grapefruit juice was excellent, full flavor and not sweet, like it's the real deal. I also ordered a chocolate shake. It was great and attractively presented with a cherry on top, but I had a momentary lapse and forgot to photo it. The country fried steak was excellent. It came with very good hash browns (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside), scrambled eggs and toast. Bonus points to Bob and Edith's for buttering the toast. But I'm gonna take those bonus points away because the oleo was spread on cooled-off toast and didn't melt. There's something ironic about having a decadent breakfast right in back of the LA Fitness where I work out. But that's okay, we will be back! **Note: after initially posting this review, a pop-up Compensated Alert Activity message from Yelp appeared on the B&E Yelp page saying that Yelp had evidence (a photo of a sign) that B&E's was offering a $10 certificate to write a favorable review on the various platforms including Yelp. That's not nice Bob and Edith.

This is the place. I wanted something not greasy so I ended up with turkey open sandwich, potato salad, and mixed vegetables. Everything went in my tummy. My wife got a banana split. Hey! We can't all eat turkey. Food was great for the price, service quick, place is clean, and I like how you can see them cook in the open kitchen. Wish it was open 24 hours.
