Aguadito 8oz - A plastic container of Aguadito soup with a black spoon on top, accompanied by a small cup of green sauce, placed on a white surface.
Mariella M.

This review has to do with their reduction of portions and still charging the same. I used to get a regular size aguadito soup for around $5.25 , no the size is only 8 ounces for the sane price , as you can see from the picture I provided. Listen, I understand times are tough but this is utterly ridiculous. Also the parking is a nightmare. Service is ok, hit or miss. I can tell their not as busy as they once were. Anyhow lots of other options around. I for one will pass on next time

Sauces, one given to me with no lid (no thank you) - A person with rings on their fingers holds two small cups of food on a wooden surface, one with a yellow lid and the other filled with green guacamole.

I haven't had Cocorico in a long time and decided to have some today for lunch. The young lady that waited on me was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I got the Arroz Chaufa (mixed w/ chicken, steak and shrimp). All the meat rested on top of the rice. The steak was rubbery, the chicken was dry and they gave me only (count em) 4 shrimp. Rice could have used more flavor. It was 20bucks. So not worth it. Not what I remember at all. Won't be back. Sorry Coco.

You know what time it is?? It's dinner time! Drum roll pleassseee... I found a gem! Cocorico is a family owned restaurant that serves halal meat/chicken and have done it for number of years! We ordered number of items for a takeout dinner : Half chicken with 2 sides (fries/yuca), Carne Asada Coleslaw Side Mashed Potatoes Side, Tamal , Pupusas (2 Pc) Chicken & Cheese, Tiramisu , Tres Leches, and flan. Everything was prepared fresh, and TO THE PERFECTION! My mouth is still watering for some more of the chicken with yellow sauce. I am coming back for sure! If you love your chicken and enjoy a place that doesn't compromise on flavor, than YOU MUST TRY COCORICO.

Half 1/2 Chicken with 2 Sides

It is a counter service restaurant and Alma the lady at the counter was very friendly. I order a half chicken with red and black beans. The chicken was tasty but beans very bland and the black beans a little undercooked. They had free self serve water but the drink menu was limited to bottled selections. I'm might be back in the future

Tallarin Verde

I definitely come here for the food but stay for the music . (Yelp says I didn't type enough so I'm just adding extra words here.)

Takeout was quick and easy. Love that they offer Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Tabouleh at this Peruvian restaurant. They have a nice variety on their menu. Their chicken is flavorful and the price is right. No, this is not our ultimate favorite chicken place. That would be in Arlington but Cocorico has a lot to offer. So many different sides, sandwiches, entrees, soups/salads, and desserts. The Cocorico Meal also looks lovely: 1 whole chicken, 2 sides, hummus, baba ghannouj, tabouleh, rice, 2 pita bread and 8 sauces. Will have to try that next time! So glad we got a chance to try this place out.

Half Chicken w/ platano and fries. They don't skimp on the sauce either yellow and green both well made.

Very good food, great service. Clean inside. Idk what else you can ask for. Came back the next day for breakfast to get a baleada and a desayuno completo both were really tasty.

We ordered take out. Reasonable price for a family meal. I also got their papusa which was not bad just a bit on the dry side.

The broth is light but savory, and it comes packed with several large, well-seasoned dumplings that are clearly the star of the show. The dumplings are tender and filled with a good mix of meat and vegetables. It also had some nice additions like sliced scallions and egg ribbons that gave it that authentic home-cooked feel. It's a perfect option if you want something a bit lighter or healthier than the fried chicken, especially on a cold day. My only small gripe is that I wish it came with a side of rice to make it even more filling, but overall, it's a solid 4/5. Definitely a hidden gem on their menu. The service was amazing & the place is never busy. Perfect ambiance!

Today was an exception to the usual experience. Edamame were cooked to mush, tteokbokki (should be firm and spongey) was the consistency of overcooked spaghetti, and the smallest saddest wings I've ever seen in my life- I'm not exaggerating when I say I had three wings half the size of what I'd expect from Buffalo Wild Wings. This location is in need of some serious quality control. In the future I'd much rather drive a little further to another location than me disappointed like this again. Unfortunately I forgot to photograph the wings and since they were so tiny and pathetic my family finished them on me before I could finish this review.

It's late at night and we're driving home after doing grocery shopping when the crowds are gone. The hubcap wants to eat fast food out of the blue. Unfortunately, all the fast food places have dismal reviews except for two in this area. Plus, most of them are closed at that time. This is how we found Southern Style Chicken & Waffle. It closes at midnight and has southern food, my husband's favorite type of home style food. He loves mama's casseroles and mac and cheese due to being raised in the Deep South. It, also, had one of his favorite foods: waffle. Plus it is on the way. We head out there and notice an almost empty strip mall. Creepy but the neon sign said it was open. The place was empty & clean yet the opening of the door sent an alert ring for the staff to come out. I was impressed that you could have a waffle as a side with some of the entrees. I was tempted to order fried chicken until I saw the catfish on the menu. I ordered it with a side of mac and cheese to give to the job cap. He ordered the chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. We got it as takeout. The portions they give you are huge when compared to other fast food places. I got three large catfish fillets and a giant side of mac and cheese for $13.49. I wish I had ordered a larger portion after tasting the catfish fillet. You could instantly taste how it was prepared fresh - definitely not frozen. The fish was light ,succulent, and had a melt in your mouth texture. This is not the catfish you ate at a church fish fry. This catfish is exponentially better. The chicken sandwich was two chicken patties in a sandwich similar to chick fil a sandwich. I tasted it and thought it was better. My husband preferred chick fil a though. He really loved my catfish and my mac and cheese. I gave him all the mac and cheese. I split my three catfish fillets into two meals. Service was great. The server told us the catfish was Asian catfish and served it to me the way he preferred it: side of lemon with seasoning sauces on the side . He gave us a heads up that they cook the food fresh and it would take 15 minutes. We didn't mind the wait and waited patiently. We will definitely come back and order catfish, waffles, mac and cheese, and fried chicken when we come here. This is one our favorite late night go see fast food places. I love that it stays open late and has the best catfish I ever had in my life.
