Service was good, food I would rate 3.5. I had their pork belly on skewers, that was flavorful. I also had their bento box, yakisoba, and shrimp fried rice to go. Volcano roll was delicious at the restaurant but didn't travel well going home. The bento box did not look appetizing. It was worst than cafeteria food. Shrimp fried rice was ok and so was the yakisoba. Maybe I'll try again next time but overall for me was meh.

This place rocks for trivia on a Monday day night. Trivia is Mondays at 7 and if you get there before 7 their awesome happy hour is half off all drinks plus some food specials. They have a varied menu that includes sushi and a variety of Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai dishes. It's a much more varied menu than most Asian restaurants. The 54 old fashioned is unique and tasty since it uses Japanese whiskey that has a spicier taste than your usual drink. The beef bulgogi is a must try, it's a large portion of lean and tended well seasoned beef in an enjoyable sauce and it comes with a large portion of rice and salad. The place is in the Springfield mall so there's usually lots of parking but the lot was packed a few days before Christmas. I enjoyed coming here for trivia and will be definitely be back here.

54 is a big, spacious restaurant with lots of seating, a big bar area and a big kitchen. For a weekday lunch, it was quiet. We ordered shrimp & veggie tempura app and Tokyo street fries. Both app's came out quick, hot, and tasty. My rolls (spicy crunchy tuna and shrimp tempura) were a bit of disappointment: They were doused in sauce and toppings and the shrimp tempura looked and tasted overcooked. Service was great at first and then the waiter was nowhere to be seen (literally) towards the end of our meal when we were trying to get our checks and leave. This isn't a bad place, so long as you're not looking for authentic anything.

Loved this sushi place! Though their menu had much more to choose from than just sushi. Had plenty of seatings and overall I really liked the aesthetics of it. They had a high top tables and a bar area. Our server was incredibly nice and helped us with our drink selection. Even more perfect that it was during happy hour! I believe I had the Passion Fruit Moscow Mule, and I really enjoyed it. It was mixed just right and felt refreshing even from the first sip. My friend ordered a different drink, and she enjoyed hers as well. And of course you already know I HAVE to order fries whenever it's on the menu. The Tokyo Street Fries here was delish. I honestly think I liked it more than the sushi. But you already know I'm a bit biased when it comes to fries. I have to say though, the wait time to get our food out was incredibly long. Don't know what happened, if they had forgotten about us or if the queue messed up, etc.

4.5 Stars rounding to 5 Stars. Not everything was perfect yet rounded off to 5 stars when you see the overall rating of our experience. 54 Restaurant is conveniently located in the Springfield Mall and very easy to find. You can access the restaurant from the parking lot outside of the mall. Despite the parking lot being crowded on a Sunday , it was not crowded in the restaurant. The ambiance was clean and spacious area with many empty tables & seats. The hostess escorted us to our seats and had no knowledge of the specials that day. Specials of the day were posted by our seats. For Sunday $5 drink specials: mimosas, screwdriver, and Bloody Mary drinks. I ordered the Asian Orange & Melon Screwdriver or Mimosa. It looked attractive and tasted like citrus & melon with vodka. I savored it and drank it slowly. Good price for the quantity & quality of the drink. We both ordered Crab Rangoon appetizers = excellent choice. They were cooked perfectly, and the best crispy yet succulent delicious Crab Rangoon we ever ate in our life. I ordered Tuna Trio Sushi Roll for the Tobiko, flying fish roe and scallop sushi roll. My husband ordered shrimp fried rice. My sushi rolls tasted good and had an orchid flower for decor . My husband liked his shrimp fried rice when it had yum yum sauce on it but he still thought it was too spicy for him. Our server was nice yet still new & learning the menu. We didn't mind and he was satisfactory as a server. He even gave me a to go cup with ice for me. They do give military discount with ID. Overall price of one cocktail, one appetizer, two sushi rolls, and one entree of shrimp fried rice with a 20% tip included was $53. Very fair and good price for two people. Definitely plan to come back when they have $5 margaritas. 54 Restaurant is my favorite sushi restaurant in our area so far. I love the food and how it is conveniently located by the mall if you want to shop before or after you eat. The specials they have are worth trying out. The sushi is one of the best here and the crab rangoon is perfection. Sunday is very ideal due to the lack of crowds in the restaurant and the drink specials on that day.

Ambiance of the establishment was large and modern. Service was alright - our waiter messed up my order which caused a delay eating our dinner, no check up from him after he took our food away, we guess he was embarrassed to come back to our table, but we know mistakes can be made! No check ups were what made us unsatisfied with the service. Food on the other hand, we would not necessarily come back for, maybe the sushi is their statement piece, but as far as their other man courses go, we'll choose elsewhere. It's a just like a modernized mall food hibachi establishment (like the same Japanese hibachi you'd see in the mall food court in the back of Springfield mall). Also feel like the quantity of food you get for the price is not a fair trade for the price. Nothing special to be entirely honest!

I came here with a friend for lunch early in the afternoon, so there was no lunch rush yet. We sat at a high top table in the bar area and were greeted pretty quickly by the bartender. We started with drinks and since mimosas are $5 (at least on Sunday) we started with those. I've never had a hibiscus mimosa so we tried those first and it was quite good. I ordered the bibimbap in whatever the stone bowl thing is and it was really good. The spicy sauce it comes with helped add the kick that I really enjoy. The bulgogi in the bibimbap was really tender too. It was very filling as well. I didn't finish it all in one setting. The bartender made one small mistake but really made up for it. There are plenty of TVs in the bar area and the space is nice and open. Seems like not a bad place to come drink for happy hour. Overall I enjoyed my lunch experience and I'll be back.

This is not my first review of 54 Restaurant--and definitely not my last. I legit order from here on Uber Eats at least once a week. The food is always flavorful, consistent, and hits the spot every single time. My go-to for a reason!

Went to this place after a movie and I was blown away with the size of the appetizers. Large! And yummy!! We definitely had take home and it became multiple meals. Service was speedy too and ambiance was friendly. Very authentic when I'm seeing seasoned customers getting home cooked meals.

Spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, and green grape soju on the patio. Happy hour, indeed.
    Rizma W.

Everything I had here was amazing! I came here multiple times during a week-long business trip and I probably would have stopped by at least one more time if I had time. It's hard to find a good happy hour anymore, but this place delivers. Discounted sold you, sushi and select appetizers... Yes please! I'm pretty basic with my sushi. Salmon roll, tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and salmon avocado roll were all fantastic! My friend got one of the specialty roles would she really enjoyed. The bulgogi fries are easily enough to split amongst two or three people. A large bowl of crispy, piping hot waffle fries topped with a generous portion of bulgogi and topped with a healthy drizzle of spicy mayo... Yes please!! I love that they also have a Great selection of Korean and Japanese beers and spirits, including my favorite, soju. I love it even more when it's half price during happy hour. :) I've also come here for lunch and order the grilled beef salad. Overall it was good, full of crisp, fresh, delicious vegetables and a decent sized portion of beef for the price. However, the beef was cooked with some kind of sweet sauce, which I think they put on the salad too, and they put a bit too much on it. Ultimately the salad wasa bit too sweet to finish. The service here is prompt and friendly. In addition to the dining room, there's plenty of spaces to sit outside, as well as a fire pit area. I recommend sitting in the fire pit area because the seats are cushioned. Conversely, chairs outside are metal and have no cushion. They are extremely hard and uncomfortable to sit on, especially for extended periods of time. Personal opinion, this is probably one of the best restaurants in the Springfield Mall complex.

This is a great Asian fusion restaurant. It's conveniently located on the mall. So a nice walk after eating no matter the weather. We definitely enjoy the place for it's fresh nigiri and sushi rolls. Our favorite is the salmon special. An absolute must try is the spicy edamame. It is soooo good The restaurant has a full bar and in its entirety has a very upbeat and nice vibe. A very nice place to meet up with friends. The service is awesome too. Claudia was our server and she was friendly and attentive.

Super Bowl special Korean Fried Chicken Wings
    Emily L.

I haven't tried the sushi but the Korean fried chicken is great. We picked up a platter for Super Bowl. Chicken wings and drums were twice the size of wingstop chicken. The chicken was fried well- exterior crunchy and interior meaty and juicy. It came with sauce on the side: soy garlic and "marinade" the typical yangnyeom sauce (sweet, spicy gochujang). Both sauces were good. I will have to come back to try the sushi!

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back. The layout has actually stayed the same throughout the years. Gogi Friends has a really good deal on Korean BBQ in the NoVA area. With the basic AYCE option, you still get to order 1 piece of premium meat per person. Meat quality isn't premium like Ingle or Meokja, but it is passable. They have unlimited sides and limited buffet type of foods available. I thought everything was good especially the small kimchi pancake. The brisket was quite good along with the marinated short rib. Those two types of meats were all I tried and honestly that is all you need. The grills had to be changed after every round of meat, but the workers were very quick about replacing it. Their corn cheese, egg, and soup were also pretty good. The restaurant can hold a decent number of people and large groups as well as smaller groups. They had a special discount for healthcare and military workers for 10% off. Basically, covers the tax. Service was also good and quick. At the end, they gave a small ice cream. I would come back again as this is a good deal in this area for a $36/person dinner. Lunch is $25 per person during weekdays 11 am -3 pm. Lunch on weekends and holidays for $28/person.
