This restaurant is part of a hotel- the restaurant was very short staffed therefore the wait was long. They were out of most of the items on the menu this night as well. The food we did receive was good but overpriced. Seating was comfortable. read more

Another fantastic experience at Crossroads Bar and Grill! When I stay here at Embassy Suites for work, I don't ever leave for food...Crossroads has the best food and no need to go elsewhere! For context, I'm a huge foodie and love trying different places when I travel. But when I'm here, I just love the food and service here so much and it's nice not to have to go searching for food somewhere else. Once again Susana was amazing and so professional and friendly. We were in town for a family gathering and on Thursday night we all landed in the bar area for the guest reception. After some drinking and small nibbles we meandered to the other side of the bar to grab a seat and get some real food in us. Orders were vast across the family and we staggered in at different times, some leaving as other took their seats. I would guess we were not the optimal guests with the open seating and us rotating in and out. We took over 2 huge tables for about 2 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if we managed to order every item on the menu. My group ordered Caesar Salad, Maple Glazed Salmon dinner, Fish and chips, Lobster Mac-n-cheese, BLT & blackened Salmon. The table before us had some burgers, chicken tenders & other dinner platters. My Lobster mac-n-cheese was delicious and packed full of real chunks of lobster- I even crunched on a tiny piece of shell. It is listed under the appetizers and was big enough for me not to finish. Hubby had the fish-n-chips and finished his plate, happy and satisfied. Sis ordered the BLT with sweet potato fries- had a hard time finishing the fries and everyone else was too stuffed to help her out. Salmon seemed to be a huge hit- and they cook it different ways, making several very happy. And the healthy family members stuck to salads. Meanwhile I was tempting everyone with my carb overload! I can't complain about service, since we were scattered about and a continuous flow of patrons. The food was pricier than I would normally do- but the convenience of being right there in the hotel was worth it- especially after enjoying drinks at the bar for a couple of hours! Located inside the Embassy Suites hotel, this restaurant is a convenience to the guests at the hotel. We came in on a Tuesday around 3ish and the place was completely dead. I did noticed that on the weekends and Fridays it gets very packed. Anyway we came down and ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. We also ordered the chipotle ranch wings and the crab cake sandwich with fries to go. Salmon - interestingly this was grilled and placed on a piece of log. The hubby said the fish was just OK, he didn't like the glaze that they had on it. The mango salad that came with it was pretty tasty but not as good as the one at bonefish grill. Mashed potatoes - it looked like it was the instant kind that you make out of the box. Wings - I asked them to make it crispy and they sure did, but the wings was so flavorless. I love my wings crispy and not wet and that's what I got, crunchy. The carrots and celery that came with it was also crunchy, which means it was fresh. Sweet potato fries and seasoned fries - you really can't mess these up. The sweet potato tasted exactly like what it is, no special seasoning. The seasoned fries however were seasoned with old bay seasoning. Crab cake sandwich - ehhh I thought it was going to be great but it was just OK. Salty and breakable, it was not seared so that the outer shape and crust have that nice crispy taste, this was like tuna texture. Buns were oily, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles were OK. Overall I would eat here again if I was lazy to leave the hotel. I would not go out of my way for it, convenience at its best. Tip is to order to go to avoid the 20% service charge and a 2.5 delivery charge. read more

Part of the Embassy Suites, by Hilton, this Bar & Grill is the epitomy of convenience. There isn't a heck of a lot of other options closeby. Sandwiches are good as are the burgers. The staff is a standout. read more

If I could rate 0 stars, I would have. This place had both terrible service and disgusting food. My daughter's order was screwed up twice, and the waitress didn't bother to offer her a third try at her meal or even offer her another option. "Executive Chef" Aaron Agyeman should be ashamed at the pizza served. Looked like Tombstone pizza from a box doctored up with extra cheese and a few toppings. Tables were all filthy when we arrived, drinks sat at the bar until they turned warm, no apologies or even any emotion from the waitress. We were made to feel like we were intruding on her time. The hotel in which the restaurant resides is beautiful!! I hope they pull in a different restaurant, and I'd gladly stay there again. read more

This isn't great food by any stretch. My medium burger was cooked well done. And it was a frozen preformed patty... Probably why it has to be well done. They shouldn't even give you the option of how well you want it. Also the onion rings were burnt... Like blackened. They were awful. I've never seen messed up onion rings before. Another night I ordered fishy tacos. They were ok except the fried fish was overcooked and totally blackened... Tasted burnt. On the plus side the service is generally good and the alcoholic drinks are well made. But for food I would avoid at all costs. read more

My wife and I were impressed the first time visiting the Bar, albeit comparably expensive drinks. Not so impressed when visiting a second time, and having dinner at the restaurant - which actually is the bar... and the restaurant... and the ! Although the furnishings and ambience set-up is refreshing and open, it is not conducive to dining, unless you're just having appetizers or bites with your drink. My wife and some friends came over recently on a Saturday night to see what was new to the dining experience in Springfield, and the 'award' winning chef's offerings for both local residents and visiting travelers. My hope for a nice place to be added to Springfield's dining scene were washed away by the poor service, inconvenience and overall lacking atmosphere! Having done some research prior to visiting, we learned the kitchen and chef were "reknown"... uh huh! Despite the low-key appearance and atmosphere and menu, the place does invoke a worthwhile culinary experience, but the actual event left a lot to be desired, including but not limited attention, service, knowledge and atmosphere. We had their Grilled Skirt Steak Chimichurri: some not-so-tender seared skirt steak topped with a Brazilian-style pesto sauce (which was nothing close to real or traditional chimichurri; Crab-Stuffed Shrimp: 4 (not-so) Jumbo Shrimp with Chesapeake Crab and lemon dill aioli pasta a little on the bland side; Jambalaya Pasta: Blackened Chicken and Andouille Sausage, sautéed in Creole Sauce, tossed in Angel Hair Pasta which tasted like straight out of a can. I had steak dinner with salad and macaroni & cheese during the manager's reception. The macaroni & cheese was amazing, salad was good, steak was tasty other than the gristle/fat (I should have sent it back but didn't want to be a pain) that was on it. The man working the manager's reception serving our table was incredible and the tip reflected it! Later that night I returned to the bar for dessert and the bartender was nice enough, but not overly friendly and didn't offer me a drink but asked if I wanted a menu. I said yes but then ended up having to request a dinner menu. I ordered my desert (chocolate brownie with mousse in a chocolate shell and added ice cream) which was okay but for a brownie based desert, the brownie was missing. I finally got the bartender's attention and asked if they had a cocktail menu. Her response was, "Not really, we have a wine menu." I told her no thanks I would really like a cocktail and she proceeded to walk away without recommending a cocktail. For such an amazing hotel it was a really disapointing experience because it was the worst customer service I have received in this hotel and honestly, what good bar (hotel or not) does not have a cocktail list when they have a full bar? Only got two stars because of my amazing server during the manager's reception. Very disappointing and likely will only go to the free manager's reception at this hotel since that sort of service is expected with free drinks, but will go somewhere else for dinner and non-free drinks. read more

Had a particular craving for mac n cheese one night and found myself here. Every bit as velvety as classic mac and cheese ought to be, this place hit the spot and I was happy as a clam casino. Happy hour wings were also pretty good! I'll be back. read more

My cocktail was unbalanced although I had ordered it from their list, not a random request. Minus one star. They have a selection of small plates for happy hour if you want to chew on something while watching the tv's overhead, and my order of ribs were good. It would have been 3.5 overall but getting my change back took forever. The bar can't do cash change on its own? Boo. read more

This place has a great selection of food. I've had three different meals at supper the last three stays and each was good and priced really well. Of particular note was the great service by Alex C. He was a very thoughtful, energetic and service oriented young man......the place needs 10 more just like him! read more
