Fried pickles and wings
Brigette K.

I've gone to the sister restaurant, the Garden, since it opened and have meant to come here. On Sunday night we finally did! It's very similar in terms of the vibes and food/drink options. The service was fast and the staff were nice. In addition to beers we shared the fried pickles, wings and tacos. The wings were excellent!! Fried pickles I personally like the chips better and did not like the coating, so I will not get those again. Tacos were good as well. I would recommend the Mill giving a similar warning as the Garden in terms of kids being crazy, running around and throwing rocks. I also wished there were more Adirondack chairs. It's a bit of a drive with the 95 corridor and traffic, but I enjoyed it overall. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Such a cute place in Occoquan. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. There's a good selection of beer and a good food menu. Both the smash burger and FGT cheese sandwich were declared winners, and the salad had an unexpected dressing that was a welcome change from a basic balsamic vinaigrette. The real standout of this place though is the atmosphere. There are many little personal fireplace tables that staff will gladly light for you to create a warm, intimate atmosphere. There's also a covered area that is decorated with lights and looks adorable in the dusk. Beware though - there's no indoor seating so if you run cold, make sure to get a fireside seat and bring a jacket!

Comfortable adirondack chairs around small fire pits. Order with your phone from your chair. Servier delivers quickly. Selection is a little limited. Would like to see more local and more dark beers. Tried the fried pickles which were very MEH. Would not buy them again. Lots of opportunities. Needs a little work to make it great.

Charming outdoor space.

Awesome. The Woodbridge area finally has a beer garden, and it could not be in a better spot. They've done a great job setting everything up for a great outdoor vibe. The tap list is just big enough to cover nearly anyone's alcohol pallet (plenty of styles and wine, cider, and liquor), yet not so large the beer isn't fresh--a common problem with places like this. Addressing some of the negative reviews... The staff was great. The phone ordering process went smoothly and quickly. We had a couple requests, and the gentleman who helped was very accommodating. It's a new business with normal hiccups, and I expect they will figure things out. Overall, our experience was outstanding, even though it was freezing out (they have heat lamps and fire pits). We will be making this a regular spot to hang out, as it is exactly the type of business we feel good about supporting. My guess is that in a year or so this place will become a zoo, especially on nice days. It's just got so much potential to be The Place to Be for Woodbridge beer fans. Come here. Support this place. And watch it turn into a local favorite. Edit: we went back on St. Patrick's Day, and there was a bit of a crowd, but the service was still great. We tried their pimento burger and fries, and they were top notch. Having been twice now, this has already become a favorite. Our only complaint is that the beer is closer to DC prices than Woodbridge prices. If it were slightly less expensive, we'd come every week. As it stands, it will have to be a splurge treat when we would like to be outside at a winery but don't have time to make the trek. Still, I highly recommend MSBG.

Outdoor seating with igloos

Adorable beer garden with enclosed igloo outdoor seating! We were here for the holiday tree lighting and parked nearby under the bridge. Great place to rest whilst others went to the crafts fair and wandered around. Typical pub food, but it is a beer garden after all! Service is good and son is the beer!

Excellent low key outdoor vibe! Lounge around, order food and drinks on your phone, and they magically appear within a few minutes. Great craft beers on tap. The street tacos and fried green tomatoes were excellent.

Sneaky tactics of adding tip without letting the customer know beforehand.

Went to the 2024 Riverfest festival beer garden hosted by Mill St Draft, ordered a beer for $10 and tapped my credit card. Later on I checked my email and I realized a $2 tip add-on that I never authorized or been aware of. Dishonest and bad business practice.

Great beer selection. Pretty chill place. I would definitely come all the time if I lived closer. Good food selection too.

The set up of the space was well thought out, the bistro lights give it a great outdoor vibe and the seating is not super close to each other.

I came on a Thursday afternoon and enjoyed this charming little restaurant. The French fries and…read moreBiscoff waffle was our favorite! We also tried the crab cake sandwich and French onion soup (also yummy). The ambiance is wonderful with French music playing and a darling patio. The service could improve a little, but I think that was an issue of being understaffed because I could tell he was trying very hard. This a great spot for a leisurely afternoon!

Deliciousness - 4/5 Happiness - 5/5…read more I love Belgian beer, and Cock and Bowl is my favorite place to nab some of this great nectar. This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it. It was much more akin to pudding, and there wasn't a deep enough chocolate flavor to contrast with the whipped cream. There's no better place I've found in Occoquan to eat, drink, and be merry. I highly recommend you stop here when you visit.

Ghost Fleet [GF]. (3.5 stars)…read more BLUF: If you like craft beers, this is the place to come & enjoy a frosty brew while shopping and/or dining at Stonebridge. (Hence the 3.5 stars). I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

Not ideal, but it definitely added to the lively, community vibe. Nicole went bold with the Ghost of the Mariner Imperial Stout -- rich, dark, and layered with deep roasted notes. Perfect for stout lovers who want something robust and cozy on a rainy day. I kept it bright with the Fruit Punch Fruited Sour -- juicy, tangy, and super refreshing. A fun contrast to the gray skies outside and very much my vibe. We sampled Ironmaster Hazy IPA and Sailing Cross The Devil's Sea Hazy IPA to decide which one deserved a 6-pack for the hubby. Both were smooth, juicy, and low bitterness -- classic hazy energy -- but one edged out the other in overall balance and drinkability. Overall: great variety, solid pours, and a buzzing atmosphere -- just be prepared for limited seating during peak times.
