Again, Friday Feb 13, we were at DRoccos for lunch, it was busy and the food was again fantastic, delicious. It was for my mom's birthday .And we had Burrata- mussels - lasagna - carbonara and tiramisu. Really amazing food and it has become our favorite Occoquan / woodbridge restaurant. The food is really authentic and fresh. And the server Mr, Tennessee knows his food. Really awesome restaurant

Apparently this restaurant has been under new management since last summer so I can't speak to how it was before, but our dinner experience was good. It took a little bit to get seated despite it not being busy but staff was very friendly and the food tasted really good. I liked that they switched up the standard olive oil for your starter bread by topping it with pesto, delicious! We had a caesar salad, spinach ravioli and penne vodka. The sauce was creamy and just the right amount and not too thin. Pasta was tender and very tasty. We didn't have any of the alcoholic drinks that night but their signature cocktail menu looked really good. The atmosphere was casual and quiet. We will definitely be back!

This was my first time visiting despite having been to Occoquan many times (very cute area if you haven't been before). It doesn't appear that they offer reservations but we didn't need one for a Sunday evening. What I noticed immediately is that there is actually room to move around and our table wasn't crammed right next to another one. A lot of DC area restaurants have people at different tables practically on top of each other. This more spread out vibe made the experience a bit more intimate. Our server was great and came by at perfect intervals to check on us. We tried the spaghetti and meatballs and the gnocchi and thought they were excellent and priced just right. I really liked the stickier garlicky sause used on their spaghetti. They also provide free bread. There appears to be a bar area on the lower level but we didn't vist that section. Maybe next time. If you are in the area, give this place a try!

Rounding up but would give this place a 3.5. The staff are friendly and the outdoor seating is great! I went for lunch on a weekday and ordered the calamari, fettuccini Alfredo, and shrimp linguini vognole. Calamari was tasty but a little too salty. I loved the spicy red sauce it came with though! My fettuccini was also a little salty but overall yummy. The linguini was really good! Would definitely come back but maybe ask to salt lightly for the dishes.

Tried the bruschetta, carbonara, and the half sandwich chicken Parmesan with Caesar salad. The food was decent, I personally would've liked more flavor/seasonings in the carbonara, anchovies on the Caesar and no marinara on the chicken Parmesan sandwich -but those are my personal preferences. Overall a nice view of the river, and Main Street. Service was excellent and would return to try more items. This time around my favorite spot was the bruschetta.

I really cannot express how much I loved my experience at D'Rocco's! With it being my first time in Occoquan, this restaurant has me already planning my next visit. I came for the Valentine's Day dinner special - $75 dollars for two entrees, salads, dessert, and a glass of one of their house wines. Talk about a deal! The portions were large, flavorful, and tasty. The Chicken Alfredo was creamy, cheesy, and blended perfectly with the grilled chicken pieces. I tried a bit of the Chicken Parm and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the juicy, crispy breading. It was truly ready to be taken home for tomorrow's lunch The wait staff was so welcoming and made us feel like part of the family at this Mom and Pop restaurant. The dim yellow lights were comforting, making the ambiance of this restaurant inviting and traditional. Loved their roaring fireplace on such a cold night. D'Rocco's is an absolute gem!

Under new ownership so ignore reviews before about September 2024. The place has had a complete menu and kitchen overhaul. And my review has gone from 1 star to 4 stars. Lots of menu options and it includes some items that aren't as common, like veal. My meal was a bit over salted and my salad over dressed, but I still ate everything without regrets. The service was good and attentive. The drinks were well made. I will be returning which is amazing because I used to warn people away.

I walked in on a Tuesday and was the only person sitting inside. I requested a seat by the window and was able to get some light from outside overlooking the back lot. It was quiet. I ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner-apparently they have a sub as well. It came out pretty quickly. The chicken tasted like a fresh cutlet and the linguine was cooked well with a flavorful sauce. The bread on the side was fresh but I couldn't tell what the yellow on it was-no flavor there. Overall it was fine. Service was pleasant and I enjoyed using the clover app to pay, instead of waiting for the wait staff to take my card.

Only a handful of tables in here and the noise from the main dining room carried over into this room but still a comfortable setting to be able to hear and talk. This was our first time here and had heard some great reviews. They were definitely busy and it did show a little within the service. Our server had come by, offered water and the cocktail menu (which we would have liked when we first sat down to look through). We were sat with their menu and the wine list. He explained the specials for the evening and we ordered our drinks (Smoked Bourbon & Fig Old Fashioned, Fig 95 & Pomegrante Bourbon Smash). Their cocktails are delicious. I don't usually enjoy Old Fashioneds but their version was very good and not overly powering. Definitely different than the normal cocktail. Our server mentioned a handful of times that bread was coming but we did notice that a table sat after us receive their bread about 5 minutes or so before ours. That being said, the bread and especially the two types of butter they brought were very good. They do offer additional bread and butter if you use it all. We ordered a few appetizers - the Charred Corn Croquettes, Grilled Octopus, and Beef Carpaccio. All the appetizers were delicious. The Croquettes were well made but nothing really out of the ordinary. Grilled Octopus had great flavor but this was a much smaller portion than anticipated. The Beef Carpaccio was delicious and we really enjoyed this. Our friends also enjoyed the Little Gems salad which they split for them. For our entrees, we ordered the Grilled Filet Mignon, Coconut Poached Halibut, and the Seared Culver Duck. The Coconut Poached Halibut was split for my friends and I was able to try some. The Halibut was cooked perfectly but with the crispy rice sitting in sauce, it was no longer crispy. It was more of a rice cake. The flavors were good though, the coconut wad not overpowering. Flavor of the duck was good but the carrots that came with it were undercooked and just a little tough to chew. The flavor was there but the texture could have been anlittle better. Filet Mignon was ordered medium rare and cooked beautifully as well. Asparagus and mashed potatoes were delicious. While the entrees were overall okay, we loved the appetizers and cocktails and would come back to try the rest of the menu. Food came out at a decent pace but service was a little inconsistent.

I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

Heather brought Kenny to meet me at the door as our table server. He was very courteous and terrific at providing a top tier service that I always receive here and expect wherever I spend my money when patronizing a business. I have always received great service from everyone here at all times and shifts of the day. The food has always been on par as well. I believe the crux of being here may be the veil of dismalness and lack of TLC. You can smell it and it isn't the poo in the river. When observing the restrooms, trash dumpster and overall condition of the dining room/bar areas, improvements can be made and escalate the business in more ways than they can imagine. To make money (for the owners and employees) you need to spend money. Menu is good and solid, keep the selection and quality. The drinks are more at the Tiki Bar than inside. The staff are terrific, keep the ones that enjoy being there and have the best ones like Kenny, Mike, Heather, and Lenny lead and manage staff and service. Someone independent needs to manage inventory. Money is being drained by too many freebies from the staff and could be used towards a decent toilet to sit on and stall doors to lock. The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger.
