    Vodka pasta

A tasty restaurant in one of my favorite hidden DMV gems! The ravioli was tasty but not super well cooked and in a cream sauce that had too acidic of a taste. The vodka pasta was amazing! I wish we were served bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was fine, and the restaurant was cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Again, Friday Feb 13, we were at DRoccos for lunch, it was busy and the food was again fantastic, delicious. It was for my mom's birthday .And we had Burrata- mussels - lasagna - carbonara and tiramisu. Really amazing food and it has become our favorite Occoquan / woodbridge restaurant. The food is really authentic and fresh. And the server Mr, Tennessee knows his food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really awesome restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Apparently this restaurant has been under new management since last summer so I can't speak to how it was before, but our dinner experience was good. It took a little bit to get seated despite it not being busy but staff was very friendly and the food tasted really good. I liked that they switched up the standard olive oil for your starter bread by topping it with pesto, delicious! We had a caesar salad, spinach ravioli and penne vodka. The sauce was creamy and just the right amount and not too thin. Pasta was tender and very tasty. We didn't have any of the alcoholic drinks that night but their signature cocktail menu looked really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was casual and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back!

This was my first time visiting despite having been to Occoquan many times (very cute area if you haven't been before). It doesn't appear that they offer reservations but we didn't need one for a Sunday evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What I noticed immediately is that there is actually room to move around and our table wasn't crammed right next to another one.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A lot of DC area restaurants have people at different tables practically on top of each other. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This more spread out vibe made the experience a bit more intimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was great and came by at perfect intervals to check on us. We tried the spaghetti and meatballs and the gnocchi and thought they were excellent and priced just right. I really liked the stickier garlicky sause used on their spaghetti. They also provide free bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There appears to be a bar area on the lower level but we didn't vist that section.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maybe next time. If you are in the area, give this place a try!

Rounding up but would give this place a 3.5. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff are friendly and the outdoor seating is great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went for lunch on a weekday and ordered the calamari, fettuccini Alfredo, and shrimp linguini vognole. Calamari was tasty but a little too salty. I loved the spicy red sauce it came with though! My fettuccini was also a little salty but overall yummy. The linguini was really good! Would definitely come back but maybe ask to salt lightly for the dishes.

    Bruschetta

Tried the bruschetta, carbonara, and the half sandwich chicken Parmesan with Caesar salad. The food was decent, I personally would've liked more flavor/seasonings in the carbonara, anchovies on the Caesar and no marinara on the chicken Parmesan sandwich -but those are my personal preferences. Overall a nice view of the river, and Main Street. Service was excellent and would return to try more items. This time around my favorite spot was the bruschetta.

I really cannot express how much I loved my experience at D'Rocco's! With it being my first time in Occoquan, this restaurant has me already planning my next visit. I came for the Valentine's Day dinner special - $75 dollars for two entrees, salads, dessert, and a glass of one of their house wines. Talk about a deal! The portions were large, flavorful, and tasty. The Chicken Alfredo was creamy, cheesy, and blended perfectly with the grilled chicken pieces. I tried a bit of the Chicken Parm and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the juicy, crispy breading. It was truly ready to be taken home for tomorrow's lunch The wait staff was so welcoming and made us feel like part of the family at this Mom and Pop restaurant. The dim yellow lights were comforting, making the ambiance of this restaurant inviting and traditional. Loved their roaring fireplace on such a cold night. D'Rocco's is an absolute gem!

Under new ownership so ignore reviews before about September 2024. The place has had a complete menu and kitchen overhaul. And my review has gone from 1 star to 4 stars. Lots of menu options and it includes some items that aren't as common, like veal. My meal was a bit over salted and my salad over dressed, but I still ate everything without regrets. The service was good and attentive. The drinks were well made. I will be returning which is amazing because I used to warn people away.

I walked in on a Tuesday and was the only person sitting inside. I requested a seat by the window and was able to get some light from outside overlooking the back lot. It was quiet. I ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner-apparently they have a sub as well. It came out pretty quickly. The chicken tasted like a fresh cutlet and the linguine was cooked well with a flavorful sauce. The bread on the side was fresh but I couldn't tell what the yellow on it was-no flavor there. Overall it was fine. Service was pleasant and I enjoyed using the clover app to pay, instead of waiting for the wait staff to take my card.

From the greeting by one of the owners of this fine dining oasis to his two subsequent table visits; to the perky, unpretentious, attentive server; to the decor and abundant floral arrays; and to the variety and imagination of the many menu choices, we validated that quality. The Coconut Poached Halibut and the Pan Seared Scallops we ordered arrived in a timely fashion after we enjoyed the excellent bread course, followed by a surprise gift the restaurant offered, as well as our two salads. The Watermelon & Arugala salad and the Strawberry Burrata salad were fresh, outside the norm, delicious and presented artistically. The main courses themselves were truly memorable. We agreed that we couldn't have made better choices. Saucing was outstanding. Finally, the desserts. What a finish to a delectable meal! Chai Creme Brulee and Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake were our choices. They were simply scrumptious. We will remember The Bourbon and Fig for the next occasion. We were lucky to find a real gem where people can relax and be unhurried. The atmosphere, the meal, the service and, again, the quality convey an attention to excellence. When you can find those elements together, you have a winner.

I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

A damp afternoon on the patio could have been miserable, but she kept everything warm, welcoming, and relaxed from start to finish. The food was a bit of a mixed bag on the appetizer front. The mini salmon cakes were outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The dry-rub wings, on the other hand, were forgettable. Skip those and save room for the entrées. Both the crab cakes and the lamb ragu were excellent, with the lamb ragu being the standout. We wrapped things up with the butterscotch à la mode, which was a great finish. The atmosphere is relaxed and the covered patio was a huge deal on a rainy day. Dog-friendly on top of that makes it an easy yes for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

The Spot at Belmont Bay is officially our new brunch problem!!!…read more We went to The Spot at Belmont Bay this past Sunday for brunch, and I'm just going to say it: this is the best brunch in the area. Not "pretty good for Woodbridge." Not "solid little neighborhood spot." I mean clear-your-calendar-because-you're-going-back good. We ordered the Breakfast Board for Two, and it was exactly what brunch should be: generous, fun, shareable, and absolutely loaded. Eggs, bacon, house-made sausage, smashed potatoes, Belgian waffles, biscuit, gravy (so good), fresh fruit, Greek parfait, and pastries of the day all showed up on one board like brunch had assembled the Avengers. And here's what makes it even better: everything is made from scratch. You can taste it. Even the sausage is made in-house, which explains why it stood out so much. The smashed potatoes were seasoned beautifully, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon had that perfect crispy edge, and the waffles were golden with just enough crunch. The biscuit was soft and buttery, and the cinnamon roll situation on the side had absolutely zero interest in helping anyone make responsible decisions. Respect. But the absolute star of the show was the spicy Bloody Mary. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Full stop. It had real zip, great spice, and that pickle salt rim took it completely over the top. Salty, briny, spicy, savory, it hit every note. Add the crispy bacon and lemon garnish = forget about it!! The drink menu is no joke either. They've got mimosa carafes, mimosa flights, sangria, margarita flights, brunch cocktails, dirty sodas, coffee drinks - basically, The Spot looked at brunch beverages and said, "Yes. All of it." We also had a mimosa, and it was bright, fresh, and exactly what you want sitting next to a big brunch board. We also had the chance to meet the owners, and they were fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're building. That makes such a difference. You can tell when a place has real people behind it who care about the food, the service, and the vibe. The Spot absolutely has that. I liked it so much that I'm already going back for their bourbon tasting Saturday night, and then again for their Father's Day brunch on Sunday. Great food, great drinks, great owners, great atmosphere, and scratch-made brunch that actually delivers. The Spot at Belmont Bay is a winner. This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it.
