    Nautical Gnocchi

I really enjoyed my dish. There was a good amount of crab and shrimp and the gnocchi was well cooked. Service was quick and our server was very friendly. The patio overlooks the water which is really nice if there's good weather. We'd definitely come back!

The plusses: The prices were okay, and the food quality was good. The Mad Burger I ate was very well seasoned with good crisp bacon, while the Ribeye sandwich was strictly knife and fork fare after a bite or two (it was a mess to eat but tasty.) The accompanying baked potato was on the cold side of room temperature. Housemade chips were crisp. The Meh: Service was slow and uneven despite only three tables occupied but it was friendly. I had to ask for my drink (coffee) a third time before it was remembered. But the waitress was very nice and engaging. The WTF: Halfway through the meal they cut on a karaoke machine in the bar section. There is a wall blocking the view from the dining area but it only extends half the length of the restaurant, so you are effectively in the bar when it comes to the noise. Bad karaoke is not amusing or entertaining unless you have been in a bar for far too long. So go early or go elsewhere if you don't want to hear Sweet Caroline loudly tortured. Verdict: Price was okay for the food, an okay experience, nothing I will go out of the way for.

Great place next to the water. Lovely service. I ordered Thai mussels and crab chowder. I will say the chowder was one of the best I've had. Lovely place to have a bite.

A absolute stop if your in between Richmond and Dc and want a fabulous dining experience. The view was breathtaking and I loved that just outside the restaurant you can rent kayaks. The staff were knowledgeable of the menu and ready to serve. I ordered the salmon bowl which was cooked to perfect. The restaurant and the town make for the perfect day near the water.

It was our first time at Madigan and our server Kenny was fantastic. We had a fantastic lunch and we will be back for sure.

I truly enjoyed my dining experience here. The crab cake was mainly crab with very little filler and it paired perfectly with the brioche bun. The onions rings were tasty and they had hush puppies as a special and Im so glad I ordered those.

Quesadilla is not traditional, It is served with what they call a Pico de gallo corn sauce. Recommend they offer a salsa.

I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

We arrived early around 5:45pm and went 4mins around the corner to Electric palm (yummy) for food. Parking spaces are available on site. I suggest to get there right when they open @7pm or earlier. Spaces do get tight and it gets crowded quick. The sooner the better and you don't have to wait as long. The general admission is $20. They give you a ticketed number. Then you have to wait til your ticket number is within the group numbers called on the tv screens to go on the trail. However, while you wait you can purchase paintball for a extra $7 & the escape room for $5. I do think they can approve with the extra add-ons. The escape room is in a little trailer & you have only 5mins to find a key. The paintball is set up in a little tent & you just hit zombies on a projector screen. I feel like they can improve the paintball by opening up another part of the field with stadium lights an actually have a game going on. If it be with two teams of customers at a time or customers against zombies. There is also a free movie playing to bypass time. Every night theres a diff movie. They also, have food trucks & a bar with two bartenders. I suggest they include one or two more bars to help with the lines. So, I say at least six bartenders. Also, need to have more selections in the alcohol ( they didn't have Hennessy). Anyway, the trial itself was really fun. It lasted a good 35-40mins or more. I appreciate that compared to other haunted attractions that are over in a blink of an eye. I loved all the props, the scenery, & actors. I was scared a good few times. My fav three parts was the sucken bridge ( feels like you're falling thru), the scene where its a green fog room like walking thru a pond or forest & the actual walk thru the diff parts of the jail! I will def recommend and will be back as long as they make improvements & change the trail every year. Deliciousness - 5/5 Happiness - 5/5…read more I've been here a few times now and always left happy and very full. The best Italian restaurant in the area hands down. This is definitely an old school Italian place, with dark wood furniture and oversized pasta portions (no complaints from me on that!). The pasta is always cooked exactly right (it's really hard to do pappardelle right as it's such a big noodle and can easily become a wet mess that tears apart on your fork, but each noodle here stayed together and didn't break apart), and the sauces are distinct and flavorful. From the standard sauces like alfredo, to the unique like a lamb ragout, they have deep flavor that keeps you eating until your stomach says no. The waiter was friendly and attentive, engaging my kids as much as me. We also went with the bruschetta, which was tasty (particularly the mozzarella) but I wish had at least one more slice of bread to serve as an appetizer for four. I wasn't overly impressed with the mixed drinks, but I didn't go there for that either.

This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it. It was much more akin to pudding, and there wasn't a deep enough chocolate flavor to contrast with the whipped cream. There's no better place I've found in Occoquan to eat, drink, and be merry. I highly recommend you stop here when you visit.

The Spot at Belmont Bay is officially our new brunch problem!!!…read more We went to The Spot at Belmont Bay this past Sunday for brunch, and I'm just going to say it: this is the best brunch in the area. Not "pretty good for Woodbridge." Not "solid little neighborhood spot." I mean clear-your-calendar-because-you're-going-back good. We ordered the Breakfast Board for Two, and it was exactly what brunch should be: generous, fun, shareable, and absolutely loaded. Eggs, bacon, house-made sausage, smashed potatoes, Belgian waffles, biscuit, gravy (so good), fresh fruit, Greek parfait, and pastries of the day all showed up on one board like brunch had assembled the Avengers. And here's what makes it even better: everything is made from scratch. You can taste it. Even the sausage is made in-house, which explains why it stood out so much. The smashed potatoes were seasoned beautifully, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon had that perfect crispy edge, and the waffles were golden with just enough crunch. The biscuit was soft and buttery, and the cinnamon roll situation on the side had absolutely zero interest in helping anyone make responsible decisions. Respect. But the absolute star of the show was the spicy Bloody Mary. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Full stop. It had real zip, great spice, and that pickle salt rim took it completely over the top. Salty, briny, spicy, savory, it hit every note. Add the crispy bacon and lemon garnish = forget about it!! The drink menu is no joke either. They've got mimosa carafes, mimosa flights, sangria, margarita flights, brunch cocktails, dirty sodas, coffee drinks - basically, The Spot looked at brunch beverages and said, "Yes. All of it." We also had a mimosa, and it was bright, fresh, and exactly what you want sitting next to a big brunch board. We also had the chance to meet the owners, and they were fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're building. That makes such a difference. You can tell when a place has real people behind it who care about the food, the service, and the vibe. The Spot absolutely has that. I liked it so much that I'm already going back for their bourbon tasting Saturday night, and then again for their Father's Day brunch on Sunday. Great food, great drinks, great owners, great atmosphere, and scratch-made brunch that actually delivers. The Spot at Belmont Bay is a winner.
