Beer was good, had two flights. employees were friendly but didn't seem very welcoming. On their phones and browsing the computer, didn't care to talk with customers... and I was the only one in there with my wife and cousin. Was only in Virginia for a limited time visiting family. Should have went to a different brewery.

We were driving home to Maryland from Richmond yesterday and I was searching yelp for a brewery to stop at for a cold one. Based on the reviews we decided to stop at Water's End and we're not disappointed! We tasted most of the beers on tap and these guys brew some really good beers! Great atmosphere, great beers, and fantastic service by Leah

Finally got around to visiting Water's End Brewery on a Sunday afternoon... I sat at the bar and ordered a couple of tasting flights: Damn Beer Golden Ale (5.0% ABV) Sauvin Saison (5.5% ABV) W22 Amber Ale (5.5% ABV) Cascade Pale Ale (6.0% ABV) Citrachicane Session IPA (4.7% ABV) Double Hopdrop White DIPA (8.7% ABV) All the ales were good! Staff was very nice and knowledgable! Lots of seating available inside! Cool brewery! #WatersEndBrewery

I always forget to rate the places I frequent. This brewery is only a mile from my house and thankfully has great beers!! The dont haze me beers and their sours are my favorite but I also enjoy their other IPAs and the w22 brown ale. The staff is super friendly as well!!

Awesome addition to Woodbridge! The flavors, concoctions, environment, and staff are all great! Choose from Brown Ale, Black Ale, IPA, Wheat Ale, and Brown. Judging by the Grand Opening crowd this will most certainly be a Lake Ridge staple. Good Work Guys! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Enjoyed most of the beer but was especially impressed with the service. Small, friendly place, set in a strip mall so it's not difficult to find. The brewer was one of my servers so I got an extra dose of beer education. As with most breweries, their brews have a wide variety of styles and move quick, so whatever I tried on this visit may not exist next time. Growler prices were good too. I was vacillating between a 4 and 5 star rating, but the friendliness was enough to warrant the highest rating. When I visited they had 7 beers on tap (although 1 was technically a variant of another), but the pours were fairly large (6 ounces I think). If you're looking to sample everything, be prepared to stay a little while because it's almost the equivalent of 2 full beers. What I tried: Damn Beer (Golden Ale): Very light bodied; strong contender for becoming a 'flagship' beer since it's very drinkable. English Brown: Very malty; not sad I tried it but probably not a repeat. Was that sweetness in the finish? Zest Fest (Wheat Ale): Lives up to its name! Favorite of the day. Belgian style beer, orange peel notes. El Dorado (Pale Ale): Least favorite Adventure Hat (Black Ale): Very hoppy, big head. I'm not a hop-head so IPA-style beers seldom do it for me, and this wasn't different. Hop Drop (While IPA): This was the hardest to place. Yes it was hoppy like an IPA, but it wasn't really like other IPAs I've had. My server grinned at the look of concentration on my face as I repeatedly sampled it, and explained the unusual flavor came from the particular type of hops he chose. I...think Iiked it...but again it was so unusual it might just be my curiosity besting my taste buds.

I was surprised that I liked the HopDrop (a white IPA) as much as I did, because I usually don't love hoppy beers.
    Zoya F.

Friendly service, but there was a limited selection of beers on tap--only five on the Sunday we visited. Also, there's no hot food available (unless you bring your own). I thought the bathroom could have been cleaner and better maintained. Of the three breweries my friend and I visited in Woodbridge this last weekend, this one was my least favorite. To be fair, this wasn't a bad brewery; it just didn't shine in comparison with the other two.

This is the red white and blue sour 6%....
    Chris P.

Got the hop drop to go and the red white and blue sour paired perfectly with a nice pizza (meat lovers) not much to say it was beer, but it was definitely beer done right. #beerandpizza

First off, this isn't at the water's end. Instead, go to the water's end. Then drive 2 miles to a strip mall in Woodbridge. The name is semi deceptive for a brewery in a place called Lake Ridge, but whatevz. The location isn't unique for a brewery. Its in a strip mall in an independent building so if you are looking for a cool view or something, this isn't the place. I like the inside vibe better than the cold echo-ey warehouse breweries, but not as much as the countryside ones. There isn't an outdoor patio which is a huge negative for a brewery. Now that we've got the location and vibe out of the way let's talk beer. When I went they had 5 beers on tap. I got a flight which consisted of 3 beers and the larger sized flight glasses. The beers were ok, but there was 1 that I really liked called Damn Beer. It tasted almost spicy, which the bartender said was from the grain and not peppers. Either way I liked it, and it stood out. I've been to like 50 breweries the last few years so a beer standing out says something. The brewery is neat and if it was near me I'd go back. But its off of I-95 in hoodbridge so sadly I may never taste the beer ever again.

Introduction to work-prospective of the start of Covid in March 2020:…read more Representing 2020, W is for Water's End Brewery, which I visited in the early Covid days in March 2020. This week in 2026 is the 6 year anniversary of when things were shutting down from Covid. On Monday, 3/16/20, I was very busy in the office preparing for roughly 80% in office/20% work at home (not counting any work travel) to 100% work at home starting the next day as virtual meeting company President said office is shutting down for the time-being. That next day, Tuesday, 3/17/20, I had work travel to Prince William County as we were trying to get stuff work done, and any day they could've shut their doors, which I think they did on Thursday, 3/19/20. They had gotten rid of the comfortable seating and had individual chairs spaced far apart and tape to stay 6 feet away from representative I needed to see. Any paper, etc being handed involved a bit of stretching, but we made do, and I got the work done. Experience at Water's End Brewery: My girlfriend of the time tagged along for my work travel. Before we got to my Prince William County work, we stopped for pizza slices in this same center for lunch. We saw Water's End Brewery out there selling beer to go since their indoor brewery was closed to the public. My g/f wanted, and I think we bought 2 beers to take to go. Staff was very nice, and the beer was pretty good. Conclusion: That Spring I had one more work travel to Prince William County on Friday, 4/24/20. Of course, the building was shutdown. They had a bunch of big drop-boxes outside, which someone would pick up once a day. Made my job easier except for the 2 minutes I was making sure I was putting in the correct drop-box. But a lot faster than going in to do the work dealing with the people. Also, on 4/24/20, I smashed the record for longest without getting gas, 38 days. I had gotten gas on 3/17/20 in PW County, and then 38 days later on 4/24/20 as the gas was very cheap in PW County then. Interestingly, as I write this today, 3/12/26, I'm currently tied at 38 days without getting gas (It was Mon., 2/2/26) & may go several days longer without. I would've never bet that break this Covid-era record in pre-retirement life, but I had major surgery on 2/9 & was in hospital for 16 days + a few days at home without driving right after hospital.

A 45-minute wait for two sandwiches? No problem--who doesn't enjoy watching the entire staff engrossed in their phones while customers wonder if their orders still exist? Of course, when we politely expressed our concerns, the manager reassured us that nothing could be done due to a mysterious 'situation' in the kitchen. How comforting! A competent establishment might attempt to make things right, but why bother with customer satisfaction when you can just shrug? Needless to say, we won't be returning.. ever.

This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it. It was much more akin to pudding, and there wasn't a deep enough chocolate flavor to contrast with the whipped cream. There's no better place I've found in Occoquan to eat, drink, and be merry. I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

I was a little surprised to see so many kids, but thankfully parents were keeping a close eye on them, so it didn't take away from the experience. There's a solid selection of wines available by the bottle or as tasting flights, so it's easy to find something you like. Tastings at the bar with a wine educator are a nice touch, though they can be a bit limited if the place is really crowded. The only downside was that they seemed a bit short-staffed during, so tables weren't cleared as quickly as they could be. That said, there are plenty of trash cans and bottle bins around, so it's easy enough to help keep things tidy. Overall, a great place to unwind with friends, enjoy some wine, and soak in the scenery--just be prepared for crowds on nice days!

There's plenty of parking, although it can get pretty crowded and a bit tough to find a spot when they're busy. The wine is on the pricier side but it's always a good time whenever I visit. They also usually have a good food truck on-site which makes the whole experience even better.

I called earlier to ensure that I could cover the tab for a group that volunteered to assist in a cleanup that morning in the Town of Occoquan. I had to stop at another meeting down the road and rushed back and forth. The restaurant Manager, Heather, was very pleasant and kept me informed in order for me to be there before they left. Heather brought Kenny to meet me at the door as our table server. He was very courteous and terrific at providing a top tier service that I always receive here and expect wherever I spend my money when patronizing a business. I have always received great service from everyone here at all times and shifts of the day. The food has always been on par as well. I believe the crux of being here may be the veil of dismalness and lack of TLC. You can smell it and it isn't the poo in the river. When observing the restrooms, trash dumpster and overall condition of the dining room/bar areas, improvements can be made and escalate the business in more ways than they can imagine. To make money (for the owners and employees) you need to spend money. Menu is good and solid, keep the selection and quality. The drinks are more at the Tiki Bar than inside. The staff are terrific, keep the ones that enjoy being there and have the best ones like Kenny, Mike, Heather, and Lenny lead and manage staff and service. Someone independent needs to manage inventory. Money is being drained by too many freebies from the staff and could be used towards a decent toilet to sit on and stall doors to lock. There are great events that take place here like live bands, solo musicians, line dancing, karaoke and others. Bottom line, this restaurant should not have an empty seat and I look forward to more improvements and happy experiences here. +- parking ( handicap available) + service + food presentation/quality/flavor - restaurant and exterior condition
