I've been to Roadhouse in Woodbridge two weekends in a row, and I'll definitely keep coming back. The food is great, the drinks are great, the prices are affordable, and the atmosphere is really cool, especially if you want somewhere to watch sports and have a good time. Yesterday, another patron was very aggressive and rude toward me, but Stephanie, the manager, stepped in and handled everything so professionally. She was friendly, polite, sweet, and made me feel completely taken care of. Honestly, I would come back just to see her because she was that kind and welcoming. It's clear this place is under new management, and they're doing a great job. The vibe is better, the service is solid, and the place seems to be thriving. Highly recommend. The service at Roadhouse is excellent. Darlene is a great server. Her timing in checking on us and bringing the food were spot on and she was quick with the refills. Very friendly too. The food was very good. We got the steamed shrimp and buffalo wings apps. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The buffalo wings had just the right amount of sauce. They do cook them with the sauce on, so they aren't "wet" wings, but I like them that way. My son got pizza which was good, but they put herbs on it, which he doesn't like. We'll just have to ask for none next time, but if you like your pizza that way, I'm sure it's fine. I got the fish and chips. The taste was excellent but they were a touch greasy, but most are with that. The fries were also very good. Ambiance is very old school pub/bar, but that's what it is, so no surprise there. This is legitimately one of the best restaurants in Woodbridge. I have never had a bad meal here. The quesadillas?! Delicious! The fish and chips?! Phenomenal! The french dip?! Terrific! And if you haven't tried it you have to try the cheese pretzel. It's soooooo good. The only things that leave a little things to be desired that we've tried are the fries and the mac and cheese. 7/10 the both of them. Do yourself a favor and finish your meal with the brownie. And there's this waiter there with long hair, he treats our baby like a king everytime we go. Love him. The Bungalow Alehouse manages to have the atmosphere of your local neighborhood bar while also being a large restaurant/event space that is located in a pretty commercial area. There is plenty of space inside and we were able to have a buffet of a variety of menu items. The service is quick and the beer prices are reasonable. Most are nice folks who have became good friends. The place has the look and feel of the actual show Cheers. They also have a poolroom. The food and costs are great. You really get a bargain here. On a random Monday, I was invited to meet here and I was a tad skeptical because of the selection, but I decided not to put on "bougie boots" and agree. I visited this place once a couple years ago and had a good experience with food and service but the Cheers like atmosphere really isn't my preferred cup of tea. Back to the most recent visit. The location was great for the occasion, catching up good conversation. Second, this place is huge and there are tv screens ALL over the place. The bar is HUGE with additional seating available. Third, this place is divided into three sections (great for sound control) one being a pool area where the crowd grew progressively while we dined and conversed in the main dining seating area. We ordered from the happy hour menu. Our waitress was friendly, pleasant and gave a great recommendation to try the pizza. We ordered pepperoni pizza ($10) and it was enough for two people to share. The crust was thin enough to not feel guilty afterwards. This is definitely a place to consider visiting during football season to catch a few games OR visit on another random day to enjoy happy hour in a chill, relaxed, no frills, low-key place. Cool sports bar spot with many TVs! They have a great customer service. The staff is very attentive and make you feel comfortable and at home. The manager on duty was horrible. She seemed to be preoccupied with personal friends and not paying attention to customers needs. I watched as she sat down at the bar for an extended period of time. I was truly stunned when I witnessed her involvement in an altercation between customers. She was part of the problem not the solution. I will not nor will I recommend this establishment to anyone. As I am in the hospitality industry I will make damn sure thelat I steer everyone I can away from dinning at this restaurant. At least until this manager is removed from there employment. The prices were very fair, and quality of food was excellent. The crab dip was good. I enjoyed my club sandwich. It was huge. I only could eat half, but enjoyed the other half the next day for lunch. Now, I didn't like the French fries. They were too hard and greasy. I mentioned it to the manager. He brought another order, but it was the same. I guess this is their version of fresh cut fries. Not for me though. Big, filling, and bursting with flavor. We also ordered pot stickers, and they were just OK. The drink selection is great, including some real fun whiskeys infused with beers (like IPAs or Stouts). The bartenders are always nice and engaging. The two big issues I have is service is very slow. They have a massive bar and the bartenders, though friendly, often struggle to serve everyone in a timely manner. It's also a bit on the pricier side, particularly if you aren't there for happy hour. That said, good food and good drink. It's tied with Brothers Encore as my favorite area bar. read more

This place went from a 5 star to a 1 star in my books. We have been coming here for years, and we enjoy their food, but it has taken a sharp turn downward over the last few months. We usually always get the fried pickles, and about a year ago they went from this cut pickles to them being about 1/4 inch thick. They tasted a lot better thin. They advertise on the menu "thin cut" but it is a lie. We came in today for lunch, and we had the ditziest blonde waitress. We are able to order without looking at the menu, and we were able to order drinks and an app right away, but it was after waiting for her to make it to the table (10 minutes). My wife and I both ordered the cheesesteak sandwich and my boys a kids meal each, and since miss ditzy chose not to write down our order, she got 3 out of 4 wrong, coming with the wrong side, pepper on the kids Mac and cheese (which was bland as hell today) after asking when ordering not to include the pepper, and no mushrooms on the cheesesteak. When our food was brought out, both cheesesteaks were cold along with the kids pizza. We also had to ask for a side of ranch multiple times. We sat around for 15 minutes waiting on our check, which once it was finally brought over, she ignored our table for about 10 minutes before I had to yell at her to run my card. This place has lost all sense of urgency and normally checking on tables, and it has been a reoccurring problem over the years with a lot of their servers. I was annoyed because my cousin from Germany wanted to go to a pub, but my Dad and Uncle decided to go to a pub only when my cousin wasn't actually around. Meanies. Boo. But anyway, they chose a pretty good pub. Now I can't give a 5 because the prices are mid-range and they really don't need to be (the food is good but not THAT good), but all prices aside, they actually make a decent facsimile of German food here, some dishes more than others. The various sausages aren't half bad, and that surprised me because this place is really all about the alcohol and the cute bartenders. Speaking of which, I'm absolutely in love with my tattooed, tanned, Bavarian-beer-maid-outfit bartender. She looks more like a world famous glamour model fitness girl than a bartender. I was swooning the entire time. She was super friendly too, with her dazzling white teeth beaming and thereby getting an enormous tip (not that kind, he can't provide that) from my Uncle who is one of the few guys who is as horny as myself. We're very respectful and nice towards women (I think), we keep our impure thoughts in our own minds. Until we get on Yelp (and by we I mean me) and then I tell you exactly what I think. As for the pool tables, they are excellent, and actually surprisingly cheap, and they let us play a lot longer than the hour we paid for. So that's pretty awesome. Not so many very friendly people in Northern VA, but some of them work here, that's for sure. 4 stars for the food. 5 for the pool. 2 for the prices. 10 for our server. I have lived in the area for like 10 years and have driven past this place numerous times but never stopped to try it out. Friday night, after doing some shopping, my friend & I were looking for a place to eat. We decided to give The Bungalow Alehouse a try and we are glad we did! We were a little put off initially because of the strong order of smoke (cigarettes and weed) as we walked up to enter the restaurant. As you enter, the bar area is directly in front of you & the dining room is to the left. We asked the hostess if smoking was allowed in the bar. She said no but went on to explain customers were allowed to smoke directly in front of the building. We sat in the dining room. Very spacious with several televisions. The dining room was separated from an area with pool tables. There were quite a few people playing pool and quite a few people in the bar. There were just a couple of tables sat in the dining room. The way the establishment is set up is great to limit the noise in the dining room so you can comfortably hold a conversation. We were taking care of by two great waiters who were very attentive. We started with a pound of the Steamed Spiced Shrimp - delicious! We also had the Baby Spinach Salad with Grilled Salmon. It was also delicious! The shrimp & salmon were perfectly seasoned! Bungalow Ale House in Prince William County-dramatic improvement in quality of food My 2 friends and I decided to re-visit this restaurant and give it another try after having had less than acceptable meal quality in the Fall of 2022. We met on Friday, April 22 at 4 p.m. for an early dinner. The host greeted and seated us immediately. Andie, our server, was friendly, attentive through our entire meal, and assisted me in selecting my beer. I was pleased that she also offered us water with our alcohol beverages which I normally do not experience at other restaurants. The Bungalow's menu has expansive American cuisine dishes. I selected fried pickles for my appetizer. These came stacked with just a little heat and a dill ranch dressing. These were the best fried pickles I have ever had! I had ordered a spinach salad last year and was disappointed that there were miniscule pieces of pecan, spinach was wilted and the avocado was hard to find. This year, my friend ordered the same spinach salad and was equally impressed as I was with the freshness and crispness of the spinach, the whole pecans, cherry tomatoes, onion, slices of avocado and flavorful dressing. The large salad was more than I could eat and I was offered a non-foam container for my leftovers. My boyfriend ordered a vegetarian pizza. He enjoyed the sun-dried tomatoes, crisp crust, flavorful and fresh toppings. Our friend had chicken Quesada appetizer which looked like a meal in itself. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for great food at reasonable prices in Prince William County. It is a perfect place to take your family and friends. I had to stop at Home Depot and while driving there this place was right on the way. We stopped in for lunch around 12pm on Sunday just before the football crowd started to show up. The place is so big inside and has multiple pool tables as well as private rooms for parties. The menu was big with tons of different options. Our waitress helped us right when we sat down and had our drinks out to us a short time later. They have a football menu/specials on Sunday which was cool. After we ordered it took a bit of time for our food to come out... and our appetizers came out with the rest of our food which was a bummer. After waiting 30 minutes for the server to show up to my table (there was only one other occupied table in the dining room), I ordered a beer and a medium rare bacon cheese burger with fries. Pretty typical pub food. While the beer was cold, so were the fries and they looked like they were the dregs from the shift. Lots of little pieces and crumbs and very few actual fries. when the burger showed up, the lettuce was about 2 inches long and an inch across with a tomato the size of a nickel. The bacon had the look and texture of being 3 days old. The burger was nowhere near medium rare. Then the problems began... After sending back to be prepared to some standard, the manager came by to call me a liar and proceed to lie to my about checking the temperature by breaking my burger open (but no sign of that on the actual burger) instead of a thermometer. No excuses were given for the crappy bacon, tiny veggies and horrible fries. When I called him out on this, he told me to leave.
