We have been ordering from Brother's Encore for the past 5 years. Quattro Gusti pizza has been our favorite. Tonight, ordered chicken piccata, gusto pizza, quarto, fried pickles, and cheese pizza for family. Unfortunately the chicken piccata tasted like caper juice with a stick a butter and all seasoning was salt (food was incredibly salty). The Quattro Gusti pizza missing several ingredients. All items were incredibly salty (feels like their only seasoning is lots and lots of salt these days). Horrible salt and butter after taste (with a hint of caper juice, no capers) on the chicken piccata. Menu is still great. Execution took a nose dive and food now tastes horrible. I hope quality turns around. read more

Great pizza for take out, and nice spot for lunch. They are able to serve groups of 8-10 easily. Menu includes a variety to please everyone.

This place was recommended by people who like to socialize; so I sat at the bar to have dinner and a drink. I did not care for the crowd, so I only ordered food. The ambiance from the bar area was a little too dark for me; and the music was not universal. It was too loud, and harsh. I ordered fish, shrimps, and fries. The fries were good, but the shrimps were not. I did not bother to taste the cod fish, too much batter. read more

This place is consistent. The food and customer service are always good. I like their pasta dishes as much as their pizza. We typically eat there, and the giant fountain always surprises me. We've been here on multiple occasions enjoying a variety of different types of entrees, from pizza to different pasta options. Overall, this place is not bad. Like most places around the area, it's a little overpriced, so be prepared to pay close to $100 for a party of four or more; however, it's honestly not bad food. The ambiance of the restaurant is transportive with mirrors everywhere and a large fountain in the middle. The interior helps to position you in a faraway land that is not in Virginia. In conclusion, this is a nice little place to take friends and family. The prices are a little high, however, everything is in this area. The food is good and the portions are generous. Additionally, the wine selection is wide. Go and try it out for yourself. Enjoy! read more

Excellent NY style pizza! Hard to find decent pizza around here, with fresh toppings and in a NY style. Brother's Encore does a fine job! Better than anyone else in the area! Picked up our granddaughter at BWI for a visit, and went for a relatively late, dependable dining experience. As a preface, we've been regulars since it opened, and it's uniformly friendly, reasonably priced, and a nice family dining experience. Our entrees were good tonight, and our server tried to be attentive, and was unfailingly polite. The problem was the appetizer: fried mushrooms. We go here because they're hard to find, and they're usually excellent. Tonight, they were badly overcooked. Practically carbonized. No wonder they took so long to arrive, even though we ordered them with our drinks. Of course, we weren't charged for them, but neither did a manager appear to apologize. I don't know if it's a management or a cook problem, or maybe both. But it was disappointing in a place that I'd usually give a much higher rating. read more

Deliciousness - 3/5 Happiness - 5/5 I have to admit that the atmosphere here is so great that it always makes me happy. The bartender (who has dyed red hair) is always very nice and welcoming. She somehow manages to engage the customers while taking orders, making drinks, and keeping things clean. The people here are always really approachable. Every time I've gone, there's been lively discussion and my personal favorite, commentary on the songs being played over the jukebox. I highly recommend getting mixed drinks here. They make them very strong for a very reasonable price. They have a small beer and wine selection, but the liquor drinks are the true star of the show here. This is also a place for the classics - don't expect a lot of the new-age type things (like drinks with egg whites or liquors you've never heard of). The food is decent. I've been impressed with the pizza, especially since you can get custom-built toppings on slices. I recently had the meatball sub (it's tough to find all-beef meatballs) and was a bit disappointed. The meatballs really needed more sauce and were a little on the rubbery side. But it is certainly passable bar food. The bottom line is if you are looking for a fun time in a welcoming atmosphere in Dumfries to have some good drinks, you can't do much better than Brothers. read more

went to this restaurant since I was near by. when you enter the restaurant is the ambiance is very quiet and if want to dine with your family is definitely the place. The food I order was a medium cheese pizza which was good and hot in the plate, very tasty definitely recommended. I also order the shrimp scampi which was horrible, the meal was so watery which scampi is better creamy that I was not able to eat it at all. if possible do not order this meal. Sort of disappointed, because we were hoping to really like this place. We've been in Montclair for a year and a half and today was our first time trying them out (for takeout). We got the chicken Alfredo and Penne alla Vodka. Portions are huge, but taste isn't all too great. Their dinner rolls aren't too good either. We also made the mistake of taking the prices from a picture of a menu someone posted on here from a year ago. Apparently, their plates have gone up more than 6 dollars from the time that picture was posted. My fault for not asking for a total prior to pickup. Service was good and rather fast, but I can't say I would return for the food. read more

Did a pickup order today for lunch. Cute restaurant inside. Decor is a little outdated, but charming. There is a large fountain in the middle of the restaurant that my son liked. I got a calzone, and my son got the meatball mac and cheese. The calzone was delicious. Good flavors. Good portion size. The mac and cheese was not good - basically a large helping of Kraft mac and cheese with two meatballs. My son wouldn't eat the meatballs - not too tasty. I will return because the calzone was really good, but I won't order off the kids menu anymore. My interaction with staff was minimal so I can't really comment too much on that.
