Introduction to work-prospective of the start of Covid in March 2020: Representing 2020, W is for Water's End Brewery, which I visited in the early Covid days in March 2020. This week in 2026 is the 6 year anniversary of when things were shutting down from Covid. On Monday, 3/16/20, I was very busy in the office preparing for roughly 80% in office/20% work at home (not counting any work travel) to 100% work at home starting the next day as virtual meeting company President said office is shutting down for the time-being. That next day, Tuesday, 3/17/20, I had work travel to Prince William County as we were trying to get stuff work done, and any day they could've shut their doors, which I think they did on Thursday, 3/19/20. They had gotten rid of the comfortable seating and had individual chairs spaced far apart and tape to stay 6 feet away from representative I needed to see. Any paper, etc being handed involved a bit of stretching, but we made do, and I got the work done. Experience at Water's End Brewery: My girlfriend of the time tagged along for my work travel. Before we got to my Prince William County work, we stopped for pizza slices in this same center for lunch. We saw Water's End Brewery out there selling beer to go since their indoor brewery was closed to the public. My g/f wanted, and I think we bought 2 beers to take to go. Staff was very nice, and the beer was pretty good. Conclusion: That Spring I had one more work travel to Prince William County on Friday, 4/24/20. Of course, the building was shutdown. They had a bunch of big drop-boxes outside, which someone would pick up once a day. Made my job easier except for the 2 minutes I was making sure I was putting in the correct drop-box. But a lot faster than going in to do the work dealing with the people. Also, on 4/24/20, I smashed the record for longest without getting gas, 38 days. I had gotten gas on 3/17/20 in PW County, and then 38 days later on 4/24/20 as the gas was very cheap in PW County then. Interestingly, as I write this today, 3/12/26, I'm currently tied at 38 days without getting gas (It was Mon., 2/2/26) & may go several days longer without. I would've never bet that break this Covid-era record in pre-retirement life, but I had major surgery on 2/9 & was in hospital for 16 days + a few days at home without driving right after hospital. read more

Everything tastes like alcohol so that's good. They match music for their environment which is also okay I assume. A steel reserve is still under 3.50 and after 20oz, all alcohol tastes the same for a true alcoholic. Not coming back because price high numbers. Happy hour at glory days gets you more for your buck! read more

My wife and I were visiting the local IKEA from about two hours away and decided to stop in afterwards. Impressed with the beers and got some to go. The woman serving was super cool and we chatted a bit about breweries in Denver! We love the micro brewery feel where the taproom is just the right size with bar and table seating. Impressive large cooler with plenty of to go options. Decent selection of merch as well. We will definitely be back during our next IKEA trip! read more

We got an email about a donut pairing event with Duck Donuts so we had to come through. We already tried a cupcake and beer pairing event a while back so we figured it was worth it. We haven't been to this location before so we decided to do a change of scenery. It's definitely a lot smaller than the original location so keep that in mind. We recognized the bartender and she recognized us from our last visit to the other location too. Like last time, super friendly and helpful. It was only $19 for a 3 beer flight (Blueberry Mosaic, Blood Orange Sour, and The Heavyweight) and 6 mini donuts (2 each of blueberry pancake, sunrise, and a maple bacon). The pairing was perfect as expected. The Heavyweight was the only one I wasn't familiar with but might be one of my favorites. Slightly chocolatey and almost creamy. I know this review is off of a specific event but they have such solid beers in general across both locations so definitely take the time to come out and try it. Simple little brewery with nice indoor and outdoor seating. There are no real "specials" to order here (beer either by the full or half pours); flights come with three half pours which you pay by each selection. Beers were classic and crisp; it's so convenient that they have many of their beers in cans/bottles to take home afterwards! If you bring or order food from elsewhere, I would make sure to bring utensils and napkins- they don't have anything on the tables. Hand sanitizer is provided at the bar. Reason for four stars instead of five is that, for some reason, the second bar tender we encountered refused to serve us water. He said that "he wasn't allowed to serve us tap water," and that we had to buy water bottles from their fridge instead. If people are coming to your business to drink alcohol, shouldn't you have "complimentary" drinking water available at all times? read more

So this is the new store in Woodbridge, and although it is a bit small, it is still pretty nice. The beer is just as tasty as their other location. Fresh, crisp pilsner is what I crave, and Water's End delivers. It was a little slow on a Saturday afternoon, but the bartender was very nice. I'm sure that this place has a better atmosphere at night, and I'm told that is an easy process to order food from some of the nearby restaurants. read more

Great Brewery and due to COVID restrictions we almost didn't get a chance to drink at the Brewery as it was "packed" and a little to cold to hangout outside. We got lucky and found a table that was leaving. My wife and I both ordered a flight and we really enjoyed the beers. We each enged up getting a Crowler. While they don't have food, they have partnered with a local chicken spot and Texas Roadhouse and they deliver to your table. read more

Great place. We were heading from Tampa to Boston and got caught in traffic so we detoured here for one. Awesome move. The brewery is in a retail location and have their full operation on site, which is rare if you know the challenges. Huge garage doors open up to the tap room. Asked to bring my dog inside after driving for hours, no problem. Beer selection is smallish but the styles are on point. I grabbed a 4 of Don't Haze Me Bro to bring back home. The bathrooms are clean af. I didn't take photos of the toilet because I'm not a weirdo. We noticed the tables made from a reclaimed bar and a few other details. Well done. read more

So they have some good beers but it was too hot in the tap room. Don't haze me is easily their best beer, but the Apricot sour was not really sour at all. My biggest gripe is that they don't have a set price for flights. So a set of three half pours can be as much as $14.....instead it should be like 3 pours for maybe $10. It's too expensive on my opinion. read more

I made a day trip to the area to try out Waters End and expectations were high. I tried two IPAs and two stouts. Don't Haze Me was my favorite of the bunch followed by hopdrop, the stout, then blueberry stout. I didn't feel compelled to stick around or exhaust the beer list. It was dead quiet, no banter with the pourer, and the TV's were showing horse racing and AFV at 2:00 on a football Sunday. Odd to say the least. read more

Tonight was my first time at the new Water's End. I've been to the one in Dillingham Square a few times and have always enjoyed my experience. The beer selection at this one isn't as vast but I still enjoyed myself. The three stars though are for the state of the bathrooms. They are disgusting!! First off, they're unisex, which is fine because it means almost no waiting time. The bad part is it means there is usually pee on some or all of the toilet seat. The amount of dust all over and around the toilet and the sink showed that they probably haven't been cleaned once since this spot has opened. I honestly feel the need to shower after using the restroom. I'm hoping this review will spur them into action to clean the bathrooms at least once a day because like I said, I like the beers and I'd hate to see them lose potential customers over something minor like this. read more
