Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. Overall though, totally in love with the laid back vibes here and would definitely return.

A few months ago when my husband and I ran in to pick up a few things we couldnt help but notice a wonderful smell of fried chicken coming from their kitchen. We decided to give it a try it and were pleasantly surprised. The chicken was seasoned so well, and cooked perfectly. We have since found out they offer "Taco Tuesdays" so, we tried it and again we were so impressed with the quality of the meat and flavors. We have ordered carry out Taco dinners twice now and the tacos (soft or hard) were spot on. If you happen to be down this way kayaking on Mallows Bay or hiking in one of our many trails you should stop in and grab lunch/dinner at a table in the bar area or carry out. Great start to the night. Our server was on it the whole time. I'm terrible with names and didn't catch his, but he was attentive without hovering. Drinks first: smoked old fashioned for me and it was fantastic. My fiancée got a rosé and was happy with it. The menu made it a hard call, a lot of stuff I wanted to try. We started with the corn fritters, which I did not touch because I'm not a corn guy. My fiancée destroyed them and said they were delicious, so take that for what it's worth. I went with the burger and fries. Cooked exactly how I asked, and the fries were great. Zero complaints. Then I tried one of her fish tacos and immediately regretted my entire order. Those things were amazing. Crispy, and genuinely the reason I'm coming back. The homemade chips she got with them were also really good. 5 stars. We'll be back, and I'm ordering the tacos.

The corn fritter appetizer with hot honey was good. The fish sandwich and crab sandwich (on stale, grill pressed brioche) were just edible and extremely overpriced. This is the first time I couldn't bite through a potato chip!!! When the server finally came back to ask how our food was, and I tried to explain why it was inedible, I was at loss for the right word and he provided it - stale. Guessing this was not the first time he'd had a complaint, but to his credit, he brought each of us an order of onion rings "on the house" (why that would be I don't know since the chips were included with the sandwich - probably an up charge substitution). They were hot but not much else to recommend them. The venue was kind of musty and though we were seated at a window as requested for the river view, the middle window was so dirty you couldn't really see clearly through it. For a downtown riverfront Occoquan location, this was shockingly horrible.
