I waited nearly 30 minutes at an empty bar just to be acknowledged. The female bartenders were dismissive, unhelpful, and came off as unwelcoming to the point it felt discriminatory. The way they speak to you is so disgustingly demeaning. Completely unacceptable customer service... I will not be returning. read more

They have an indoor smoking area which is an extreme rarity in this area. You still have to be careful though ( am I mistaken that smoking and drinking are legal for those over 21 with the cash to pay?). Karaoke is often first rate. Seem to be quite a few heterosexuals, if I can be honest for a second without retribution. Or can we even talk about such things? I like the place. read more

This a cool place if you want to shoot pool or have some drink and do karaoke with no worries.

Gives casual, yet cool hole in the wall vibe. Has fairly good music playing at a comfortable volume that allows for conversations. Lots of pool tables and lots of dart boards. Service was good and quick. Drinks are for the low low and taste delicious (Dilly Juice and Green Tea Shooter). Will be back. read more

I was invited to a work function here. I wouldn't typically come to a place like this but felt obligated to go. They had an array of finger foods available for attendees, which were nothing special. The bar didn't know how to make a proper Old Fashioned, but the IPA they had on tap was very good. Playing pool with a coworker was fun, but that was the highlight of the evening. They had karaoke, but no one in our group was brave enough to participate. I wouldn't call this a dive bar. I could see it turning into a dance club at night, but I could also see it doubling as a concert venue. Luckily we had the place rented out. I bet Breakers draws an interesting crowd. read more

A HIDDEN GEM!! I recommend this place for personal or professional occasions. My next door neighbor invited me to his company's party at the Breakers Sky Lounge last year then this place has become a go-to place for me. The atmosphere looks new, upscale, and clean. Staffs are consistently friendly and professional. Foods and Cocktails are surprisingly VERY GOOD!! There is a smoking lounge with another bar at the upper level where my friends and I enjoy our cigars/whiskey after good meal. However, you can't smell any of "that" because of its high ceiling with exhaust fans stronger than my mom's kitchen. 100% came here for dancing in hopes of replicating my favorite DC/Arlington dance bars. On Friday, the DJ was great, and we danced our hearts out. The problem, barely anyone else was dancing. I have no problem with everyone looking at me, but for other people they may be uncomfortable... nothing like liquid courage. It was super fun and seems to be the only place in the area. read more

The downstairs area wasn't so bad but the upstairs smoking area was pretty gross with dust covering the ceiling areas. Drink prices were reasonable/standard even though the round tables blocking the bar area felt unnecessary especially when you have an entire seating area in the middle of the room. read more

Used to come here all the time for YEARS with my friends. It was our place to have a good time on the weekends. If my friends weren't friends with the entire staff I don't think I would have enjoyed this place as much I used to. The one thing I really enjoyed was their wings and fries. They USED to be crispy and DELICIOUS. One day they started attracting a different crowd on weekends, more aggressive and violent. I ordered wings the other night from here and it was the wrong type of wings. They were also a bit tough on the outside. Stopped by early on Friday night right before karaoke started. Happy hour $2 bottles $4 draft large domestic beers. Bartenders need to be a little more attentive but and it seems like they work as a team . My girl ordered wings, lemon pepper and sweet Thai those were good. My Philly steak sandwich not so much, but wasn't the worst. The lighting is cool at the place chill atmosphere. Overall decent spot to hang for a while. read more

There are only two things I adore about Breakers: the discounted quesadillas on Thursday nights, and the bartender Erik (he has long hair and is super nice). Otherwise, it's not really my kind of bar - not that I really have a kind of bar, but I prefer places where you can sit around and chat. I also like places with a relaxed and unique vibe. Breakers is a pool hall, but not necessarily a classy one. I remember coming here a lot when I was younger, but it's lost its charm as I've gotten older and more snobby. The crowd varies by night, sometimes it's really young, sometimes it's really old. It seems like there are often company events and happy hours here. And I like karaoke night (Thursday) because it reminds me of good times - and because there are great discounts like cheap quesadillas! I wish I could give Breakers more stars, but it usually smells funky in there, so I don't usually stay for very long. read more

I've definitely been to way divey-er dive bars - as far as pool halls go, this one is actually pretty modern and non-offensive. I was expecting the typical awful, outdated decor, but the design here was sleek with gray walls, attractive lighting and a trendy bar setup. I came as a plus one to my fiancé's corporate happy hour. We all had fun, and there were no issues with service or anything else. It did get a little hard to walk around the pool tables without getting in the way of a game/getting jabbed with a stick, so maybe they could find a way to utilize the space more efficiently? But other than that, no complaints. I was also really excited that they had darts over in the other section, but everyone left before we had a chance to play them. Maybe next time. read more

It's almost annoying how good their food is because a bar shouldn't have food this good. My wife and I have had 7 different things so far and they have all been amazing, drinks are average to cheaper than average price (compared to other bars in the area). A major bonus is that they have completely separate ROOMS for smoking/non-smoking, so you don't leave smelling like smoke. Good specials, pool and darts and music is cool. Great place to hang out! Boring, no one dances, $10 cover, and security guys hit on you. Tried to have a fun night out w my girlfriend but it just didn't cut it

It's a good place to hang with some crew and your female, can dance, drink, play pool($15), throw darts, smokers on 2nd level (closed in Area), dance floor, tables to sit eat and drink. Good fire ball drink. Elevator needs some fixing up as you can see in some of my pictures but other than that, it's a cool place to chill and hang out and have some fun/ break some moves. :) read more

Terrible customer service experience from the manager Chris last night. Prices are decent but the mixed drinks tasted watered down. The place was pretty much empty after the Super Bowl. My fiancé sat on the pool table watching me and her father shoot. The waitress politely asked her not to sit on the pool table to which she complied. Two games later my fiancé unintentionally leaned against another table and security asked her not to lean against the table to which she complied. Out of curiosity and not understanding the policy because other patrons were leaned against the pool tables she went to the entrance/desk area and asked the waiter and security guard what was the difference between leaning on the table to take a shot and people leaning on the table to observe. before the waitress and security guard could explain the manager Chris overheard her question, intervened and told her to leave the establishment and that he was calling the police. He came over to me and my dad and throws our bill on the table and said we need to leave because my fiancé sat on the pool tables 3 times. the manager Chris was way overboard with his response and when I attempted to talk with him and asked him a question about the clubs policy he felt challenged and began saying the police is downstairs and he didn't have to deal with us. I couldn't believe it! That part didn't bother me but when he told me "you better pay your bill or in calling the police" I took offense. At No time did we raise our voices, call him or the staff out of their names, drunk or disorderly or come off as intimidating or aggressive. We had only 1 round of drinks. In my 22 years of Naval Service and visiting various establishments I have never felt so belittled or kicked out of a establishment for asking a question. I am going to go back and talk with the owner today and if that is the type of customer service he supports from his managers then I would never recommend the place to any of my friends, family, Veterans, Service Members or Masonic /G\ brothers.
