I've had to tell an old man off more than a few times for having a loose tongue, and while I've never personally seen anyone of color or members of our LGBTQ community being treated differently (in fact, there are several regulars who may fit one or many of those identities), I wont discount their experiences. Sometimes the crowd can definitely be rough around the edges. Sometimes that roughness is part of the charm of this place, but not if we're talking about people behaving in a racist or homophobic manner - if that happened to you, I'm sorry. That sucks. Again, I've never seen it and only had great experiences in a very welcoming and judge-free environment, but I'm also a white girl living in the suburbs, so what the hell do I know? At the end of the day, if dive bars and epic karaoke are your thing, this place may have helped to write the book on them. I'm a fan.

I was just looking for some good coffee one morning when I saw a little hole in the wall and realized it's a little coffee shop! I've gotten an iced coffee there, and a matcha the next two times. Both are great. The baristas are all really nice and will very likely be able to make you something if you wanna tweak an item on the menu a bit. And, most importantly, their matcha is the real deal. It's not the bitter and awful cheap stuff that most cafes will sell to you for the same price. This is the good stuff, and you can tell they make any syrup they add to it in house. It's so refreshing. If you love coffee, and especially matcha, this place is it!

The chairs are metal, and when drug against the flooring, they make an awful sound! They really need a form of rubber on the legs. Very hard for grandma, who has hearing aids. The staff was nice, but they seriously need to drop some of the pretense. Like I don't need my table swept for crumbs several times throughout a meal when you don't even bother to provide a beverage napkin to mitigate condensation (on a bare wood table, no tablecloths). The servers won't even take dishes off the table. They find their little crumb sweeper minions to do that for them. I've eaten at fine dining all over the world. This place is just trying too hard to be something it's not. Oh, and you also get the perk of paying $15 to park in the lot behind the hotel. Because apparently spending $500 on dinner doesn't include parking. Ridiculous. AVOID. They need to figure something else out.
