I got the hummus appetizer and spicy shrimp pasta. Both were good! Hummus appetizer cones with a generous amount of hummus so you run out of pita before you run out of hummus. Hmmm. Maybe it needs to come with more hummus..... it also has celery and carrots along side. Spicy shrimp pasta has a lot of peppers and onions in it and does have a nice spiciness. The front host was great. She greeted us and help us get a table in a short time. This was a very busy day. The waiter made our day go down. He kept getting lost with our orders. He will either forget or bring something that was not removed from our meal. The meal had to be cook again. Then, he wouldn't honor the promotions. He will say we don't do that. He doesn't know what that is. Later, when the bill came a long, we ask to speak to the manager. He change his story to He was told from the bartenders that those promotions were not being honored. The manager got involved. He gave us the promotional deal. It wasn't over. The server took an additional 8 minutes to close our accounts after already waiting the 10 minutes or so. I was craving a burger and they were the only place close to my hotel. I received a coupon from the from desk for a burger and beer $20. I called and asked if I could do a dessert instead which is the same price cause I don't drink beer. The manager kindly obliged me. I order the Signature Pub Burger and Guinness chocolate cake. My order was ready quick.. The burger was actually really good. I asked them to put the bacon jam on the side as I wasn't sure if I would like it. It was delicious!! Took the burger to another level in taste. I enjoyed my meal. I really wanted to like the Guinness chocolate cake but it just wasn't flavorful. Very bland and not worth the calories for me, I look forward to trying their other desserts next time. I recommend giving this place a try. wish i could've given 0 stars! me and my dad came here after working a 12 hour shift and our hostess was very nice and even continued to check on us through out the evening. the waiter's/waitress and manager on the other hand all looked at us and walked by us multiple times, they did not stop to ask what we wanted to drink or even if we had been served yet. 20 minutes had gone by so we stopped the manager as she walked passed us and told her we hadn't been served yet. she proceeded to tell us she'd go get our waiter/waitress, atleast 10 minutes had gone by and still nothing. i ended up having to go find the manager and tell her again that we still haven't been served, that we had been there for over 20 minutes, and that people who showed up after us got there drinks and ordered there food before we had even ordered our drinks. our waitress came shortly after that but service/and getting our food was still slow, the manager didn't come back to check on us, and they were practically rushing us so they could take our menus. now on to the food, i ordered crab dip and it came out like crab old bay mush soup. as someone who's lived her whole life in maryland and lovesss crab dip i couldn't even eat half of it, there was no flavor just all spice. we've been here one time before this and i got a steak and it was also a poorly cooked steak. im greatly disappointed especially after working 12 hours before coming here both times and just wanting a good dinner and not receiving that. i will not be coming here again! read more

This place is no good. I was a guest at the hotel and figured I try the place out.. well when I walked up to the counter the manager didn't acknowledged me right away. When he did spoke to me he told me they didn't have any tables available as I was seeing several empty tables on the floor. When the person behind me asked if he could sit down at a table he told him there was a wait time to be seated. I would have understood that as opposed to simply dismissing me but what I did understand was the clear discrimination. Maybe because of my skin and eye color. Not sure what the reason was but due to that experience I will never stay at this hotel again as there is nothing else close by. No restaurants nothing. I didn't even want to sit down and eat I was going to order to go so I can eat in the comfort of my room but the manager didn't even let me tell him before he dismissed me. I don't take discrimination kindly. When I asked to speak to the manager he stated. I am the manager. I replied well is there someone else I can speak with? He said "NO". However, what O'Malley's is today is a wonderful and friendly place where new and regular guests of the hotel may enjoy a lovely meal of Pub faire, some cold beer, and a well mixed cocktail. Chi behind the bar has a youthful enthusiasm and welcoming charm. The food is timely and surprisingly excellent for any Hotel restaurant. The room is large enough to provide privacy at a perimeter table. Or perhaps you may prefer to sit at the lovely white oak horseshoe shaped bar. I am a harsh critic of hotel bars, I travel often and far afield. I will admit I had low expectations walking in. However, I was happy to be proven wrong in this case. The website looked inviting but it left some to be desired... the place is good-sized and there was a decent sized bar available but it was manned by a dude who seemed not to know what planet he was on - every question to him was met with a quizzical look. I dunno, maybe he was having an off night or whatever but he managed to get the order right so at least that went ok. Decent selection of food items available and it was all pretty good - exactly a 3-star kind of place. Not sure if I would hang out here if I wasn't staying at one of the hotels that surround it however as it had zero atmosphere. While the place was clean and staff better than average, I take great issue with this place calling itself a pub and serving "Irish Pub-Style Fish & Chips." The chips are French Fries and their 'Fish' came directly out of a box from either the freezer section at Sam's Club or Costco. Hey there - Bite the bullet and call it what it is, Frozen Fish with Fries. AND - while they have signs up for the likes of Bass and other English or Irish pub brews, there was no Bass, not even in a bottle, and they only had Guinness as any brew from the other side of the pond. So while this is a pleasant place to have a local beer and a burger, don't go here expecting any sort of traditional pub food. And don't get me started on their "Shepherd's Pie." Hey guys, Shepherd's Pie has lamb, not beef! When it has beef instead of lamb it's called Cottage Pie. Stayed at the hotel as we had family returning to Europe the next day. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service was very good. All the dishes seemed to be made from scratch. The Spinach and artichoke dip was wonderful, as well as the Shepard's pie. I had such high hopes when my friend had told me about her experience eating here the week prior to my stay in the Holiday Inn where the restaurant is located, but after we were seated everything went down hill quickly. It took a few minutes for our server to come to the table to take drink orders and then after we placed our food order it took over 20 minutes for any of our food to be brought out. We ordered the Grilled BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp as an appetizer, my friend ordered the Chicken Strips, her son ordered an individual Pepperoni Pizza and I ordered an individual BBQ Chicken pizza. While waiting we never saw our server and then our appetizer was brought out with our dinner, but not my dinner. The food runner tried giving me someone else's pizza. One look at it, I knew it wasn't BBQ Chicken, it was Philly Cheese Steak. When I questioned her she looked absolutely confused. Then she quickly apologized and took the pizza away. After a few minutes I overheard her speaking with a table behind us and giving them the pizza. I hope it was a replacement one. It took another 10 minutes or so before my pizza was brought out and looked as though it had been sitting awhile because the cheese looked congealed already; thankfully it was warm and I was too hungry and tired from my travels to really put up a fight. The shrimp appetizer was nothing to write home about either. Yes, it was bacon wrapped shrimp but the shrimp was kind of mushy and the BBQ sauce was just poured on the top and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Sadly I think it was the same sauce on my pizza. When our server finally came to check on us, he looked shocked when I ASKED for a drink refill. My dad got the $16 fish and chips. They might have been ok if the fryer grease had been changed less than 3 weeks ago. Draft pints are $7 and 22oz. are $10. The staff was great, but @ $64 with tip I would've rather went to McDonald's and handed a random stranger $20 on the way out. In seeing some of the other reviews I was a little worried, but all in all this place hit all the buttons for a hotel restaurant. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken sandwich and although there wasn't much Jerk, the sandwich was quite good. The smoked Gouda cheese was an excellent topping as was the garlic aioli. I chose the Brussels sprouts instead of fries and they were very solid. Not the best, I've had, but certainly far from the worst. The place was busy for a Thursday, but the service staff did a good job. They were quick with the beer and seemed genuinely nice. They weren't the quickest or over the top any way, but it is a hotel restaurant so expectations aren't always the highest for me. All in all, I would rate them a solid 3-4. I chose 4 because there isn't an option in between and I thought I'd help outweigh some of the negative reviews that, in my opinion, may be a little unfair. read more

Delivery took about 20 mins. The chicken street tacos were a little cold but still very good, as was the Reuben. Portions were huge and we couldn't finish all of it. I thought the brand itself is very satisfactory and have decent amount of good beer and liquor. I must say this location is quite reasonable. The entire place seems clean, well - organized and coordinated. Nothing too spectacular but a standard-ish pub. The ambience was a typical. There was enough table to accommodate for big groups and stand alone chairs at the bar. I come here with no expectations but to have a good dinner just to filled my hungry stomach. I ordered the fried calamari to start with and Rib Eye steak with a sides of chunky mashed potato and seasonal vegetable. I thought the food was OK. It wasn't so sensational but the flavor was there. The calamari have a weird after taste. The breading was falling off and tasteless. The Rib Eye was gummy and hard although I like charred. The sides was a little blunt. This was not a planned trip. I escorted my Dad to visit a friend who was lodging at a nearby airport hotel. Both wanted to eat and drink but that particular hotel didn't have any of those options because, like, really?!! Hotel restaurant, bar, lounge, pub, whatever you want to call it, it's loud and filled with a mixture of regulars, travelers (road warriors if you may) and a few locals, lots of draft beer and shots and stories that have been turned over as many times as the help here. The smell of grease and stale beer is so familiar, I've must have had a thousand cocktails in joint like this over the years, the only thing missing was Billy Joel singing Piano Man over the scratchy speakers or the announcer's embellishment of the ball games last foul on the tv screens. The food was about exciting as the obnoxious laughs coming from the sales team seating at the high top across the room or the suit hitting on the help at the far end of the bar while sipping on his fifth gin and tonic trying to figure out how to expense his meal. In the old days you might have seen a few late night arriving air crews grabbing a night cap before heading to bed to catch a few winks before their 5 am checkout but they have long since went into hiding since social media has invaded their airspace. It's doubtful if O'Malley ever owned this place or ever set foot here but the name is catchy but the fish and chips come in a box these days cooked up by a guy who works third shift at the Waffle House down the road. The wings and pizza were just okay and the help has little interest in anything other than closing time. This place exist because there's a need, very few customers who spend time here have cars being they arrived on a shuttle bus from Dulles and it's a short stumble to the elevator, there's nothing bad or good here it is what it is and probably will always be so belly up to the bar it's wiped down more often than the tables... read more

I sat at the bar during a slower part of the day and waited about 15 before the bartender acknowledged me, he served several drinks to people that sat down after me at the bar.
