So this place stood out to my family and so we thought we'd give it a try. The reviews I read was giving me the vibes of go for their burgers. My wife got the patty melt and I got the double smash. Her burger was cooked rare, which I absolutely love my burgers still mooing. So we switched. Our friend got the ramen and we couldn't get over how it was served. All in all, the food was decent. I'd come for the food again. The service was very accommodating. The ambiance and the menu were a little weird to me. Almost like trying to figure out what really sets them apart/what they specialize in. But definitely worth another visit.

This is a local gem. The food is very good. The prices are reasonable. Staff very young but did a good job. Even at the end of the night the bathrooms were clean. Now I say local gem. This means good food. Simple setting. Cheap plates and silverware but who cares, the food is good. With no hesitation, I'll be back.

Came in on a weekday with a few buddies for drinks and dinner. We sat in the bar area at a high top without a reservation. Place was about half full. Service is from the bartender. I like this place but the inside is kind of cold feeling. It just doesn't give me that feeling of warm and inviting from a bar area. Also, the parking situation is not ideal. Just not enough parking, especially if the restaurant is at least half full. I've always thought the food was above average and the drinks were serviceable and it hit those same marks on this visit. Go give it a try.

Mixed reviews on Yelp but why? Staff is uber friendly, bar area is so cool with their stone counter top and mega large TVs and food and drinks are pretty great! There's limited parking in this small strip mall. Local Cut is located on the end of the mall. They have a few dedicated spots. Upon walking into the place we were immediately taken aback at the bar area. We found a seat and asked about the happy hours(4-6p). Domestic beers $2, house wines $4 and rails $4. I opted to try a couple of their cocktails ($10-$12). Drinks were pretty tasty and strong. The mojito was my favorite and seemed to be a fave amongst the regulars. We sampled the appetizer sampler platter. This tray of fried goodies pulled it out of the park! Each morsel was delicious and crispness was a treat. I chose the scallop dinner that came with 4 super large scallops and a cauliflower mash. The scallops might have been a tad well done since I do like my scallops just a bit lighter. Staff was awesome. They gave us a tip on their weekend brunch that starts at 8:00am. The brunch menu is not online but a sneak peek revealed some tasty options. We were told they also have a nice private area in the back with large TVs, a great place to hold a group dining or happy hour.

Close up of shrimp and chicken

I ordered a pasta entree with shrimp and chicken this evening via carryout. As soon as my husband walked through the door, I smelled a fishy odor. The visual wasn't much better. Past their prime fetid shrimp were cooked into hard, round balls. The chicken was substituted with striated meat chunks ranging from dark brown to yellow to fifty shades of gray. Sadly, I was so hungry that I pushed aside the meat in hopes of salvaging a few bites of pasta. Unfortunately, that turned out to be one bite that tasted as if prepared in a hot dumpster behind a fish market. When I called THE LOCAL CUT, I spoke with a polite young woman about my experience and was told that they were sorry and hoped that my meal would be better next time????

Stopped by The Local Cut in Purcellville for an early Saturday dinner after a day out and had a great experience! We were seated right away. I had Tony's Bolognese but the real star was the double Smash Burger that my husband got--so good I'll be ordering it next time. Highly recommend!

I think this is a decent place! They made the most of their small space and it is comfortable seating area. They made a nice bar area. If you have to wait for a seat there is limited standing room indoors. They have a good kids menu and provide crayons and an activity sheet. Our waitress was nice and did her job well. The menu had good options but our food was just ok. I did really like their regular fries and onion rings. Those tasted fresh and crispy! The other food needed something else, maybe more seasoning. We needed to ask for salt and pepper to try to help. *Use the free valet parking as the parking lot is very small.

Such a gem! Once you try it, you'll definitely be adding The Local Cut to your "favorites " list! We started our meal with the Spin Dip - it was creamy and delicious and chocked full of spinach and artichokes with the perfect amount of cheesy goodness. It's a great app to share. For dinner, we both ordered steak frites. It came with cilantro rice and a delicious chimichurri. The garlic parm fries were thin and crisp and so delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and was portion was huge for only $19! Like any good dining neighbor , I looked over at another's guests plate. He was a regular there and that night he ordered the Chicken Sandwich. It was big enough to be a knife and fork sandwich because of its more than ample size. He informed me he asked for it to be tossed in their Nashville sauce. He said it was perfect and so good. The fellow diner had just gotten back from Nashville recently and had tried their Nashville hot chicken while there. He informed us he preferred the Local Cut over what he tried in the motherland of the Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy - That's quite a compliment! When you order the chicken sandwich you, can have it tossed in any of the wing flavors they offer. Dessert time ! We shared a piece of red velvet cake and it was so good. It had a lovely, tart raspberry / berry sauce and the icing was not overly sweet, which is what we were hoping for. Can we talk drinks for a moment? Maddy's margarita is a winner. With fresh lime juice, pickle juice and jalapeño infused vodka, and a tajin rim, I had to have more than one...and maybe more than 2. My husband had a beer - they have a full beer and wine list and a really creative cocktail list. We sat at the bar and it was comfortable and inviting. The restaurant offers bar seating at tables as well as the bar seats. They have a separate dining area with plenty of booths (don't we all want booths?). They were incredibly busy when we were there, which is a telltale sign of success. Although they were busy, the service was spot on and we didn't have an extended wait for our drinks or food. Right now, they are the new restaurant in town, but they are operating like a well oiled machine. The owners and management have years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, and it definitely shows. I highly recommend visiting The Local Cut for a great meal, creative cocktails, and a great experience. It's great for date night, family night, and for friend gatherings.

Had some delicious food here the other weekend. Ordered the sampler and then a burger and fries for my main entree. Service was really good and the food was delicious.

Tuna melt - Cheese is an extra $2

I was hoping to come back and give this place some more stars but that's not the case. It appears they fixed the parking but all the seats that look at the toilets are still there and since those are mostly the booths for two that's where they tried to seat us, until I asked to be seated somewhere else, which they did accommodate. My main gripe is with the tuna melt. It was loaded with albacore and it was delicious but it does not come with cheese. Come on! It's a MELT! what melts if there's no cheese? And they charged me two extra dollars to have cheese on it! The fries it were not fresh and had been sitting in the back. Also you shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper at your table. My girl got the teriyaki chicken, which was a great portion and was pretty decent although a little salty. I'd love to give this place another star, but seriously there's a tuna MELT with no cheese!!!

    No foot rail...

Food is great ! The atmosphere is terrible .. it feels like a crappy diner with a new coat of paint.. it's located in a small dank shopping center with not enough parking .. hard to get in and out .. and some of the tables are right by the bathrooms so it stinks! Oh and for rookie bar move 101 there is no foot rail at the bar .. I'm 6'1 and my fee dangle like a 7 year old .. for the love of god .. GET A FOOT RAIL. it's such a cheap upgrade and a what a terrible oversight ..

While I did expect bread to use for the Saffron Broth, I ordered it on the side for an upcharge. I wish it was a little more toasted and warm. The Seafood Cioppino itself was pretty good but not sure if I would order again as it wasn't very filling by itself. I also ordered a side of the Spinach & Oyster Mushrooms in Garlic Butter. It didn't have too much of a garlic flavor and just tasted like sauteed Spinach and Mushrooms. Overall, things were good and as it got busier, service did have some lags. I liked the warm ambience of the restaurant and would consider coming back trying some of the other items on the menu.

It was served with some sort of mayo-based sauce which I don't like, so I asked the server if they had cocktail sauce. "We don't.....but I think I can make you some!" We were seated at a table that lines up against the wall, guy brought water over, and then nothing. No one ever talked to us or even acknowledged our presence. There were not a lot of customers and most of the staff were very busy on their cell phones. After 10 minutes we talked to a busboy, I think, because they don't seem to have a uniform, and asked if we even have a waiter or waitress. He went over to the hostess (only person that actually did their job) and it looked like he yelled at her. Lot of finger pointing. After another 7 minutes (I timed it) we called it and were starting to get up when the water guy came over to take our order. We said not a chance, thanks, goodnight. Both my wife and I have worked in the service industry, we treat staff well, we tip well at 30% at least, and we don't bitch a lot. When I write a critique it's usually in the hopes that the manager or owner will reach out, say they are making corrections, and then we will try it again. If there is nothing then that's exactly how much of our business they get in the future.
