I did a going-away brunch and I swear - I genuinely didn't think the food would stop coming out. And it was all good. I took photos of every dish, and looking back I see 16 of them. 16 plates! Everything from different kinds of sliders, chicken n waffles, breakfast tacos, pork belly tacos (which were amazing), more egg dishes, and lots of others that I'm missing. Normally I'd give descriptions. But this is one Yelp review where it's easier to post photos than write. Make sure to starve yourself before arriving; because it's a lot!

Another great visit! More great food and service. This time I sat at the bar as I was dining by myself. Bar stools are comfy and I always enjoy the ambiance. I got the evening special Blackened Mahi Mahi. Cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the risotto's flavors and textures.

The service as wonderful, the food was delicious and the ambiance is amazing. Beautifully designed dining area, cozy atmosphere and delicious food . We had the tuna tartare, which was full of flavor. The short rib ravioli which was delicious and my husband had the Wagu burger which he enjoyed. We will definitely come back

My friend and I had lunch at Bia Kitchen a week or so ago when we were in Purcellville for a day. The restaurant is beautiful (especially around the holidays); it's in a former metalsmith shop (built circa 1917). The menu is classic and exactly what we wanted on a wintery day for lunch. We shared the Classic Caesar and the signature Bia Burger (Dubliner Irish cheddar, applewood bacon, led leaf lettuce, crispy leeks, and heirloom tomato on toasted brioche) with their hand cut fries. We enjoyed both dishes, and they were great to share since they don't offer a half salad, half sandwich combo option. We didn't have any drinks (we were heading to a distillery and winery after lunch), but the drink menu looked really good, too! The service was great, and the restaurant just had great vibes - cozy, comfortable, overall a nice place!

Cesar salad with a deviled egg!

My sister and I had a delicious lunch at Bia. After a week of heavy eating, the salads were a welcome change. Both were enjoyed, but I loved my Cesar. The deviled egg was a fun addition and the greens tasted so cold and fresh. The bartender and server were hospitable and helpful. The interiors were beautifully designed and comfortable, and there's plenty of more room with a second bar upstairs. I think this place might become a regular spot. I'm definitely coming back with friends!

Has a reservation here on a Saturday night with my wife. Been here a few times in the past and I feel like it has been getting better over time. They recently changed the menu, which makes it fun to try different things. I had the seafood pasta and wife had fish and chips. Both really enjoyed everything. Server was not overly friendly but courteous and efficient. Ambiance and decor are outstanding and very warm and comforting. Definitely a great spot for a night out or special occasion.

This somewhat upscale restaurant had a nice bar. We met some family for drinks and ended up staying for a full dinner. The server at the bar was cordial but not overly friendly. There seemed to be some bar regulars. We came for happy hour but apparently the website was wrong when it said happy hour was til 6:00p. The server told us it ended at 5:00p We enjoyed the charcuterie platter, plenty of meats and a few cheese samples. The burger was well made and the fries were crisp. Probably won't return because there are more places around Purcellville with comparable food but better pricing and friendlier staff.

This restaurant is located in Downtown Purcellville. When I arrived, there was a doorman. I thought that was a nice touch since you don't see that anymore. The interior was very nice and quaint. I was promptly seated. I ordered some cocktails and they were really good. I'd go back just for the drinks. I ordered their potato chip appetizer. Unfortunately, the chips were overcooked to the point that they tasted burned. We had a few but couldn't finish it. Also, the dip it came with was under seasoned and didn't taste of anything. It was just okay. I would not order it. When the server picked it up, he had to have noticed that they were barely touched. I've been a server, I was always trained to ask when people left more than half the item untouched. "Hi, I noticed you guys barely touched it, was everything ok with it? I'd appreciate your feedback." I am not one to bring it up because I don't want the establishment to think I was the item for free or something like that. I also had the Prime Angus New York Strip with a parsnip and potato purée and a wine sauce. The filet was seasoned nicely. However, it was charred all around. I ordered it medium and it came just under--which I was fine with. It appeared like the grill was too hot and it was hard to enjoy the meat with all the burnt flavor. I also could not find the wine sauce on the plate. Additionally, it was not a purée but a mash--maybe they ran out of the purée and had to rush to make a potato mash. Based on the description, I was expecting a silky smooth side dish. The mash was nicely seasoned though. I've been in the restaurant industry and I value the hard work that takes place behind the scenes. The restaurant was very busy and perhaps it was just an anomaly. If I return, I'll update my review.

Delicious!!! Food is a good serving size, delicious, has options but not too many so you can't decide. Food was a bit salty for me, but I understand most restaurants serve food a bit salty. There are no chicken tenders/ mini burgers for kids but for adults, great place! Service is good! All the staff are friendly and fast. I think because of the popularity, the kitchen is a bit slow but general ambiance of the restaurant makes up for it. Plus good company helps the time go. Drinks are very affordable, considering. It's a bit far from northern VA but delicious option if you are in this neighborhood!

Grilled heritage chicken breast - YUM!
    Linda B.

It was our first time here and we were amazed with how beautifully presented and flavorful the food was! We ordered the charcuterie board as our appetizer which was a perfect size to split before our main meals arrived. For our entrees, my friend ordered the grilled heritage chicken breast which came with tomato and prosciutto gnocchi, sautéed spinach, pine nuts, and buerre blanc. Super delicious! I ordered the porcini mushroom ravioli topped with arugula, Gorgonzola, pine nuts, and yellow tomato salad with truffle oil. Also very delicious! We even asked for an extra side of their wonderful bread to soak up the sauces! The ambience of the restaurant is very quaint and rustic. Very nice and cozy. We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back to try other items on their menu!

We were shown to the patio which was an indoor, covered patio. I opted for a Mimosa and opted for the buffet. My friend ordered a couple cocktails - I don't recall which ones - but both were delicious. My husband ordered the Limoncello Spritz which was also very good. My friend ordered the Herb Roasted Beets Salad with the Bavette Steak. My friend really enjoyed it. For the buffet, I tried the New York Strip, the Fried Chicken, Gulf Shrimp & Grits, Belgian Waffles and the Local Sausage. I really enjoyed everything I tried. The Belgian Waffle was very good and the Fried Chicken had a really crispy skin and was tender. The Flavor of the Shrimp & Grits and the New York Strip were also very good. Service was great and I would definitely come back to check out their dinner and the rest of their menu.

Overall the prices are high for the quality. 1) Hamburger and Fried green tomato appetizer were very good and delicious. Definitely suggest 2) French Onion soap was agreed to by everyone at the table as not very good ( almost sweet) and the worst they ever had. 3) The blacked shrimp were over cooked and tasted bad ( they were in my Cobb salad which was simply ok). Would definitely not get again 4) Crab had a great deal of filler. We will visit again, but will try other items. For the price, our expectations should be met much higher.

The place was busy (as to be expected on a Saturday night) but they were well staffed. Service was excellent! I wish I could remember our server's name. She was very attentive and had no problem keeping up with my boyfriend drinking gallons of tea. I tried it, I can see why, they have really good sweet tea!! I had the BEST Hefeweizen and we started with an order of calamari to share which was cooked perfectly. It was served with some sort of mayo-based sauce which I don't like, so I asked the server if they had cocktail sauce. "We don't.....but I think I can make you some!" She came back a few minutes later with a cup of cocktail sauce they whipped up for me!!! For entrees, he ordered the filet. It was a beautiful cut of steak, tender, and cooked perfectly. I was craving fish n chips but my friend had demanded I try the jagerschnitzel....so I ordered both lol. I'm going to have leftovers for days and I'm not mad about it!! Both meals were incredible and very generous portions. Fish was perfectly crispy and the gravy on the jagerschnitzel....mmm....I don't even have words! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a variety of seating options. I tend to have anxiety in crowded spaces but I was perfectly comfortable here. Overall we had an incredible experience and can't wait to go back! This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time!

The beer selection is awesome, they have an exceptional Heffervisen. However, the service has always been sketchy. I'm giving it a one star because this last experience earned it. We were seated at a table that lines up against the wall, guy brought water over, and then nothing. No one ever talked to us or even acknowledged our presence. There were not a lot of customers and most of the staff were very busy on their cell phones. After 10 minutes we talked to a busboy, I think, because they don't seem to have a uniform, and asked if we even have a waiter or waitress. He went over to the hostess (only person that actually did their job) and it looked like he yelled at her. Lot of finger pointing. After another 7 minutes (I timed it) we called it and were starting to get up when the water guy came over to take our order. We said not a chance, thanks, goodnight. Both my wife and I have worked in the service industry, we treat staff well, we tip well at 30% at least, and we don't bitch a lot. When I write a critique it's usually in the hopes that the manager or owner will reach out, say they are making corrections, and then we will try it again. If there is nothing then that's exactly how much of our business they get in the future. Easy fixes, pick a uniform, train your staff, manage your staff, and make sure they keep their cell phones out of sight of the customers, no one wants to see that. Thanks, hope to hear something back.
