The axe throwing was surprisingly fun, even though I never really mastered it. The rest of my group got it, though. There was a good selection of brews (on tap and bottled), and everyone was happy with the options. The food options looked good, but we only had a snack, which was tasty, since we had eaten earlier. You ever had the urge to throw axes at zombies? If so, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!! Elysium is pretty much the definition of laid-back fun. I'd never thrown axes before but had some time to burn before dinner so gave it a try. You sign up for different increments of time; I got 30 minutes. Several lanes are available. Think of it like a short bowling alley - but with axes. As it was my first time I received a lot of mentorship. Turns out I was throwing too hard, so the axe handle kept hitting first. But when I loosened up I was hitting near the bullseye fairly consistently. Obviously - sharp weapons and alcohol go together, so there is bar stacked with craft beer. Noshes are also available although I didn't try that. My favorite setting was the one where you throw against projections of zombie heads. After I found that one, I basically stopped looking at other options...because why would you? So there you have it; sharp weapons, alcohol, and training for the Zombie Apocalypse, all wrapped into one! read more

We came here with a couple of friends and got an hour of axe throwing. Bar area is pretty nice with a full selection and a decent tap list. We all enjoyed the camaraderie of the whole place because you have something to do while eating and drinking. Think Top Golf but with axes. I think this is a nice spot for a work event or a small group of friends. With all of that being said after throwing axes for an hour I'm not sure I need to do it again real soon. So much fun axe throwing! It's a one-of-a-kind experience and totally worth it. Elysium provides the fun so just bring your group for something totally new. They have super friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and good food and drinks. I was skeptical at first, but everyone was safe and we laughed and smiled as we enjoyed the drinks and got to see who could 'land' the axe on the board. Had a Airbnb in the area and decided to do this for one of our new years activities. Really solid place. Nice ambiance, service was pretty good and they broke down the rules etc well. 30min went by well but the cost wasn't bad enough to add an additional hour. One thing I really liked that it was a digital background which added multiple games to basic axe throwing. Can't give it a full 5 stars only because we didn't get any food but definitely a must try. I'm fairly new to axe throwing, having only visited two other axe throwing venues...but THIS one was the BEST! The sheer number and variety of axe throwing games available is awesome! Both Kristin and Lori, our hosts on the day we visited, were equally awesome and welcoming and helpful. Incredible selection of beer on hand, and while we didn't have any food, it DID look incredible. My husband and I had come from drinking wine (to celebrate our wedding anniversary) at a nearby vineyard that had quite possibly the worst wine we have ever had. The day was so windy, my husband's food flipped out of his hands onto the ground and we left feeling really irritated about how badly our anniversary was going. We decided to try axe throwing to conclude what was turning out to be a horrible anniversary day and we ended up having a really fun time at Elysium. The staff member that helped us get set up was super friendly and attentive. We were never without great advice on throwing the axe better or without a drink in our hands. The place has great ambiance to begin with, but right now it is decorated for Halloween and they did such a great job! It put us in the Halloween spirit, for sure. My husband and I are wine and whiskey snobs, so we didn't have high expectations for bar drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by the fun libations on the menu and we enjoyed our cocktails a lot more than we expected to. And the bar food was pretty good! We wanted to try out a new place for Halloween and went to the Elysium Halloween "Scare Throw"! It was incredibly fun and entertaining. The staff, people, music and ambience were exceptional! They really have ax throwing with electronic scorekeepers. The menu is by scanning the whatchamadeally and items are all appealing and reasonably priced. Well this was an unexpected surprise. I was skeptical at first. We made reservations and rolled up and they told us they were running behind. Normally this does not end up with a 5 star review but they saw I wasn't happy and they made it right. What a gem this place is. The team genuinely cares about making sure you're having a good time, the libations are fantastic and on the night we went they had a DJ. We signed up for something fun with our daughter and her boyfriend. The facility was very cool, with a lot to do aside from just throwing axes. The digital lanes are far better than the standard, boring target we saw when searching places. Being able to easily keep score and change the game type keeps it fun! Sunday kids can eat and throw for free. My boys have wanted to axe throw for ages and when I saw the promotion, we made plans and went. There is a variety of axe throwing games. Our server did a quick tutorial and grabbed our order. She was patient with my timid 9 year old. Soon we were having a great match and enjoying some pretty tasty bar food.
