I was heading to Shenandoah National Park and ended up taking a "wrong turn" and I'm glad I did. I saw the Beer Museum sign and the German flag out front and decided to stop in for a beer. The tap room attendant April was an amazing host and made us feel at home right away. The museum also has a great front porch to sit and relax and enjoy the old town charm. I will definitely stop by again the next time I visit!

Just opened last week and even though David, the owner, is still figuring out the kinks it was a wonderful little stop.

We ended up ordering the cheese fries and fried pickles instead. The food was decent for what it is -- typical bar food. Nothing amazing. I probably wouldn't come here if you're looking for anything healthy or outside the usual bar food menu options. Quick to sit down as the place was empty and the food came out quickly.

We entered through the rear and were immediately hit with a strong cleaning product smell; we appreciate the effort to keep things clean, but it was a bit overwhelming while being seated and ordering. We ordered wings and the smothered chicken. The standout was definitely the smothered chicken--excellent flavor, generous portion, and the green beans were cooked just right. The wings, unfortunately, didn't measure up. They were fairly bland, a bit greasy, and slightly undercooked. Service was solid. Alexa handled both bar and table service efficiently and kept things moving despite juggling multiple responsibilities. Overall, not the most memorable visit, but the quality of the smothered chicken alone would bring us back to give it another try.
