    Garlic Parmigiana wings.

Stopped in for dinner around 8pm on a Sunday, about three hours before closing. The space is large and felt mostly empty, aside from a small but very loud group at the bar. We entered through the rear and were immediately hit with a strong cleaning product smell; we appreciate the effort to keep things clean, but it was a bit overwhelming while being seated and ordering. We ordered wings and the smothered chicken. The standout was definitely the smothered chicken--excellent flavor, generous portion, and the green beans were cooked just right. The wings, unfortunately, didn't measure up. They were fairly bland, a bit greasy, and slightly undercooked. Service was solid. Alexa handled both bar and table service efficiently and kept things moving despite juggling multiple responsibilities. Overall, not the most memorable visit, but the quality of the smothered chicken alone would bring us back to give it another try.

    Appetizer special.

We walked in on a quiet Saturday afternoon, the place is pretty big with a good amount of seating. The back bar area is pretty dark with the dark gray walls, up front there is a good amount of natural light coming in as well as the opportunity to dine outside with your favorite fuzzy friend (pet friendly) We were greeted and promptly seated waiting only moments before the staff was asking us what we wanted to drink and went over the appetizer menu. We ordered the 3 for $15 - wings (naked with sauce in the side), pretzel bites with beer cheese and fried pickles. The wings were cooked well, tight skin and juicy in the inside, the beer cheese has good flavor and unlike some, no gritty texture and the fried pickles...I am not a fan of pickles however I tried them so I could provide a review. To my surprise both the exterior coating as well as the pickle inside had a nice crunch. Main course, we decided to split a cheeseburger and some house made slaw. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare, it was juicy from the first bite to the last, it is NOT a thin Cisco burger but a thick tasteful patty. The slaw was refreshing, and not overly covered in mayo. We will return to try the steak and pasta as well as some of the seasonal football specials (Go Packers).

Very comfortable bar/restaurant with a large seating area and bar. The staff made us feel like regulars and were quick to offer modifications to some menu items. We elected for the burgers and were not disappointed. They were huge and very tasty. This is a great joint for having beers and watching football or just getting a really decent meal. We will return!!

Burger with cheese bbq sauce and bacon

First time at Brick House and already thinking we need to go back! Came for the burgers and they did not disappoint! These are NOT frozen patties! They are big juicy ( literally bread started falling apart from the juice) burgers and you can get a specialty burger or build your own. We got the burger with bacon, bbq sauce cheese LTO which came with yummy fries. On top of that they had drink specials so we went for the $5 Margaritas and it was a tall one! Service was good and had a sports bar vibe. Only complaint were the wooden booths which were very uncomfortable (straight wood no cushion). Otherwise great lunch!

Sunday evening supper: waitress pretty much said they ran out of most food menu items, including fries, onion rings, baked potatoes, fish&chips, and steaks. Oh well. Time to go somewhere else.

2 8oz sirloin steaks, bourbon bbq burger

Everything about our experience here was amazing! We had the steak and cheese egg rolls as an appetizer. I got the 8oz sirloin and they allowed me to add a second one to my meal for only $14 more. I like my steak well done and it's hard to find a place that doesn't burn it. The steaks were PERFECT! My husband got the Bourbon BBQ burger and I, someone who does not like BBQ sauce, loved it! Our waitress was very nice and accommodating, willing to ask how much extra the second steak would be. I would recommend this place 100 times!

Food was tasteless. Onion rings & wings were overcooked. Service could have been better. Restaurant was empty; yet food came out slow.

Both were excellent and were not small portions. For our main we had the crab cakes and the ribeye. We are super particular on both and they hit a home run on both. The drinks were better than good as well. I love the black Manhattan and my wife had the blood orange margarita. Definitely try both. Service was top notch as well. Alec was our server and the manager Isaiah checked on us multiple times. Don't pass up a chance to stop in for a great dining experience and the ambiance was out of the world as well.

Would gladly come back. -Brussels sprouts: delicious. Roasted and topped with parm, bacon, and balsamic glaze. As with all Brussels some bits are charred and a little too toasty for me but really yummy. -Marry me chicken: it's rich- a lot of cheese and cream. Portion is huge. Tangy sundried tomatoes cut the richness and was actually tender. I enjoyed the better as leftovers and I don't know why. Mashed potatoes creamy, buttery delicious. I don't like spinach so I got it with a side of green beans. -Green beans: good but cooked and seasoned unevenly. I still liked it -Grilled mahi tacos: I enjoyed this the most. The taco shell isn't a taco shell, more like a flatbread or naan toasted. It has a variety of textures and flavors - pumpkin seeds, jalapeño slaw, avocado sauce, and pico. It's bright and punchy and delicious. Comes w fries -Sweet potato fries: so yum. Crispy outside fluffy inside Cheese pizza: a lot of cheese- a little too much for me. The restaurant itself is lake themed with beautiful wood paneling, floor to ceiling windows, centered around a cozy fire place. I made a comment that it'd be perfect for baby/ bridal showers and my friend said people actually have weddings here. The interior is matched by an even more beautiful view. They offer outdoor waterside seating on their deck. It looks to be screened in/ have windows so you're not exposed to the weather. Service was great/ attentive.

There's a variety of beers and ciders available, including some sodas and lemonade. I tried a variety of fall offerings and they were all okay, nothing to write home about. There was a Belgian-style beer and a mango cider that were probably my favorites. The food was pretty decent. They have Beyond Burgers (to the delight of vegetarian Child #1) as well as regular beef burgers. My wife got a Smokehouse Burger which was really tasty. I got a cheesesteak which didn't blow me away, but was decent enough. We all split some pickle spears and pretzel appetizers. Again, not too bad. The Spicy Smokehouse dipping sauce that came with the pickles was delicious! There's plenty of seating in the main room with the live music, as well as seats upstairs. We opted to sit in the anteroom that connects with the coffee shop. It had several tables, as well as a little area for kids to play - they even provided some toys and books and it kept Child #2 entertained after he wolfed down his dinner. There are old movie posters from the Box Office's old days that add a little charm and nostalgia. Pro Tip - cash is king! They gave a small discount for paying in cash (i.e. didn't pass on the surcharge for paying by card). Maybe I'm just a Yankee not used to southern hospitality, but I was blown away by how friendly not only the staff were, but also the other diners. It was a nice touch to make us feel very welcome on a trip away from home. If I'm ever back in the Strasburg area, I would come back.
