Fantastic place! Our server was great, and the cook came out to talk to us when we ordered a Beyond Smashburger style. She told us the onions they use on the smashburger has beef bone broth in the marinade, so we asked not to have those. The burger was great, but even a thin slice of fresh onion with a couple drops of hot sauce would have taken it to another level of awesomeness. We loved the fries and previously decided not to ask if their fryer was dedicated to non-meat food. So, what we don't know LOL. The bathrooms were pristine, and the decor was super fun. I hope we pass through this way again and have time to return. We only discovered this place because our Harvest Host location was closed that Monday night, and so were many other alternatives. Thanks for being open!

Loved this spot! We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and there was tons of seating! They have a small outdoor area that faces the parking lot and was in the shade. We opted to sit inside which was large and open. I ordered a flights of 3 beers and I loved their Pilsner the best. We also got the wings which were fantastic. I liked the honey BbQ more than the Buffalo but both were great. They looked to be the best item on the menu. The bartender and waitress were both sweet and accommodating. We also tried route 11 chips since we are from out of town and they had bags for purchase. Overall, great casual stop! Definitely try the wings!

I had a wedding nearby and travelled from out of state. I came in a day earlier so I was looking for places to go and found this place. It's a divey looking brewery that used to be a movie theater hence the name. They had a good selection of beer that is made in house and their smoked chicken wings were delicious. They have a small outdoor patio to sit when the weather is nice and the indoors is big.

Pulled pork loaded large size Nachos. Feeds 2 for sure.

Things were on and off today, but the service was tight. Walked in looking for a Marzen draft. The web site showed a picture of it, but I was told it would be on tap tomorrow, according to the release. The bartender said something like, "Blah Blah Blah, come back tomorrow." But all in a great tone. (Did I mention their service was spot on, let me add knowledgeable to it.) But as always none of that is part of the review. I believe those readers aren't there when I get bad service so giving a low review makes no sense. But then again giving a great review on incredible service is the same thing, so the rating is on food and drinks only! The ambiance/decor was nice, nothing to write home about, but indeed clean and roomy. So the "off" was the first plate they put in front of us. We ordered the Full Nachos, dammit they came out cold with stale chips. I called the server, who took the large plate back and brought another. Unfortunately this plate's pulled pork was luke warm and the cheese was not much hotter. Sad, we went that far, but we were hungry and driving and could not wait nor drink too much more, so we devoured paid and left. For the Nachos, I would offer a 2 star, but the beer saved the day. For the drafts: The Massanutty Brown Ale did a nice job for me. I enjoyed the sip and knew this was the reason I came. If you are a brewery type, give it a try, the brewery choices will bring you back. I believe they had about 12 beers on tap , 4 ciders and I only counted 3 IPAs. I mean I saw wheats, Vienna lager, helles, a Nut Brown, a porter, I mean if they had Cask Conditioned I would have rented a motel room close by. For me, this means the beer, with the few samples I had, was a 4 star. I will go back to test the Vienna Lager, which had a mild but intriguing taste, and the Marzen, which should be on tap soon and may make it a 5star! Thanks to the master brewer, and to you for reading. Please like if you agree.

Stopped by Box Office Brewery in Strasburg, VA today and tried the Signal and Half Moon Hazy--both packed with hops and full of flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try more beers on tap. Didn't eat this time, but the food looked great! Friiendly local service - you cannot go wrong - I recommend it!

It's great to see historical spaces converted to modern use...especially a brewery! This is a really cool spot in a picturesque downtown not far off 81. I had some wings, a side salad, and a flight. All the beers were pretty good. I loved the smoked wings! Just beware...that hot sauce is really hot.

In town for the weekend and stopped by Box Office Brewery for the first time. What a cool spot! Unique theme, spacious, clean and inviting. Staff members were welcoming and friendly. We ordered Off The Press and Betwixt Cider. Off The Press was my fave. They also had live music which was very pleasant. Nice spot!

Went about 1h before closing on a Thursday and everyone couldn't have been nicer. Beer/cider was good and the food we ordered was delivered quickly. The pizza was excellent! The nachos were only okay. I don't know what I'd change -different vegetables maybe? Everything was clearly described on the menu I just didn't love it all together -like olives and jalapeños. Would go back if in town again!

STRASBURG, Va. - Decent brewpub with some good beers and sweet decor. Missus and I were heading back to our little slice of heaven and decided to stop for a beer at this joint near where I-81 and I-66 meet. Glad we did. In an old converted movie theater, it boasts a motion picture theme and has old 1930s movie posters on the walls. Good vibe and aesthetic. Beer's good. Got a five-beer flight sampler ($14) and really enjoyed the stout, the citrus wheat ale and the coconut porter. Food was perfectly decent bar food - we each got half a dozen wings ($9 for six) and a small side salad. Conundrum - thought I asked for boneless wings (got bone-in) and a small salad (got large). Maybe I wasn't clear? Maybe I screwed up? So not judging negatively regarding. My tip - always be clear when ordering. Overall, decent joint, love the decor, liked some of the beers pretty well, would recommend if in the area

Fast service at the upstairs bar. The stout options are excellent and the smash burger with grilled onions were fire. Get both patties.

Food was simple fair. The BBQ quesadilla was different. I personally prefer a Tex-Mex spin. Beer offerings were plentiful and delicious.

Of course…read morethe accessibility of a certain food/menu selection is convenient, but I also know that a food truck represents either a early step in a chef's progression or is an extension of their already established brick-and-mortar. Having seen a local (to me) example of a chef going from folding tables at a Saturday market to catering at various locations to having a food truck then a physical location, I have a understanding of what it represents. What I do NOT know is how they produce such delicious cuisines in such a confined space. Case in point, Wayne's. I was in the area visiting family and, per usual, had my finger on the pulse of local food options. This particular day I saw that Wayne's would be in the Lowe's parking lot, serving up lobster rolls and such. After seeing the menu and the photos I knew this was bound to be a memorable experience. Though this particular day found them out of lobster roll supplies, I count it a win as I was then in a situation where another order had to be made. My Southern roots resonated with the Southern fried catfish sandwich. Say all you want about catfish, but they are mighty tasty when cooked up right. Here at Wayne's, that is exactly what they do. A 4 oz. filet on a piece of lettuce and slice of tomato, with a lemon wedge and tartar sauce on the side, and some world famous Route 11 chips as a side. The wind was cutting through the air and jackets that day so we took our orders and headed back to the truck. Within minutes my styrofoam container was empty! Perfectly breaded, fried, and delivered. I cannot wait to make more and more visits in the future. And yes, that lobster roll is still calling my name.

It's a little dive spot located on a side street with parking only available in the back of the business. The owner was the sole server and we were one of two tables that were eating. We stopped in for lunch after a morning full of antique shopping and thrifting from the nearby antique mall. We started off with soup, which came with an order of hushpuppies. The hushpuppies were SO good and remind me of how they are in North Carolina. I ordered the Lobster Bisque and my girlfriend ordered the shrimp chowder. Both were amazing and full of flavor. My only critique of the bisque is there we not pieces of lobster. I believe they were blended when making the soup. Otherwise, a huge hit at only $7 per bowl. For our entrees, I ordered the shrimp po boy and she ordered the crabcake sandwich. For our side, I ordered the coleslaw while she ordered the potato salad. The po boy was very full of small shrimp and came with a sauce which was very good on it. It's a little tangy sauce that goes great. Of course, I added some hot sauce on top which was the perfect touch. The coleslaw was very good and again reminded me of North Carolina coleslaw. Chopped very small and fine with a hit of sweetness. The crabcake sandwich was also surprisingly good and had lump crab meat. This place is very informal and a perfect lunch spot, which attracted us to it immediately. The prices are VERY good and the food tasted so good. Everything was hot and fresh, and Maggie's service was very attentive and she was super friendly.

I know what you're thinking: Mike... I'm not sure if I can trust you anymore. You just wrote a…read morereview of this Japanese 12 course meal that you gave 5 stars to... but then you immediately write a review of an Arbys in rural VA and give it 5 stars. What in the ever living heck is going on. Ok... this might be a good time to remind you lol - the way I rate places is I rate them within their categories. In my mind... how am I ever gonna rate an amazing experience at a fast food restaurant if I reserve 5 stars only for high end multicourse spectacular meals. I'm giving this Arby's 5 stars because against other fast food restaurants I've been too... it was just a dang good experience. And with that... let's talk about this Arbys. It's attached to the Loves Gas Station that is right off of 81. The Loves itself is a great gas station. The inside is clean, has big bathrooms, and wide selection of fresh fruits and salads that you can grab if you can't wait 3 minutes for some Arbys. That said... I walked in and grabbed some fruit and when I was leaving... I saw the drive thru for Arbys and was like... ya know what... ehhhh - I'll hit that up. Why not. So I go through the drive thru and was greeted by this very kind voice on the other side of the box. A somewhat distorted kind voice ( they probably want to get their speaker system checked) but VERY kind nonetheless. Decided to order a chicken sandwich and roll up to the window to see the woman behind the voice. She sees Toast in the back seat who is peering into the window and is a bit smitten. I can't remember what she said, but she really liked dogs. So, she preps my meal, it comes out as fast as any drive thru you'd expect has their game face on and she says "I tucked a little something in there for the puppy if she can eat it." I look inside the bag as she hands it to me and notice a little miniature fry cup with a small piece of fried chicken in it. My heart just melts. I express my extraordinary gratitude and head on my way. SO so sweet of her. And I'm not just giving this Arby's five stars because she was sweet to my dog. I promise. The sandwich was cooked perfectly, had an ample amount of fresh lettuce and tomato on it. Fries were cooked perfectly. Ya know... come to think of it. I saw Pepsi products on the menu at the speaker and I said, "Do you have diet Dr. Pepper by any chance" and she excitedly replied back that they did. That woman at the drive thru is just such a kind hearted sweet woman. She really just made my day. She provided a type of customer service that not only will I remember but will cause me to plan out stopping at that location in the future when I'm on the route. And trust me... I've been on that route A NUMBER of times over the past 20+ years of my life. 5 shining bright stars for the Arby's attached to the Love's gas station in Tom's Brook. Ya know... I usually stop in Woodstock around there... but I don't think I've gotten anywhere near this type of amazing service at the Woodstock fast food mecca. AND even the woman who worked at Love's who rang me up for cut up cantaloupe was super kind and friendly. Solid staff here.
