    Dog friendly!
    Kate S.

We had a great visit to this beer farm! Indoor and outdoor seating, only a few beers on tap but enough for a flight. Friendly service. Very dog friendly and we even got to meet the namesake of the Arlo Amber Ale :)

Indoor seating by the fireplace or at table. Outdoor bar or picnic tables.

Great service. Loved the live music. Very Comfortable. Got a couple growlers to go, which were enjoyed by friends.

Wow. This place is our new favorite brewery! My wife and…read moreI saw a little sign driving past Berryville, VA. We took a turn and less than a mile off the main road was this very large footprint of a brewery. There is a huge play ground for kids, amazing views and ample outdoor seating. Lots of parking. (Unfortunately it's a cold and dreary day. So we are seated inside by the fireplace) The inside is clean, spacious and great decor. There are also a lot of sound absorbing panels which help when this place is really crowded. (I imagine). The inside is surrounded by large TVs. We are watching the Winter Olympics. Every beer we tried was excellent. We got a flight and also a sample of the cider. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The samples pours are very generous. The bathrooms are spotless. And the urinals are converted beer kegs. (Nice touch) Water is self service and readily available. The appetizers are smaller than anticipated, my only critique for our experience. The spicy cheese curds are actually spicy on the back end. I highly recommend.

So we waited another 30 minutes to wait in line, that took another 15 minutes. Once our food was ordered we waited for another hour and a half... still nothing We decided to cancel our order and leave. The beer is average I'd say. Atmosphere is pretty decent, usually clean bathrooms. We've been several times. The last time we went, the food was average as well. Overall, I'd say it's an average place but definitely stay away on holidays.

Not sure who would really be sitting out there.. Once inside,, the Brewery is spacious with enough seating both bar and tables for a good size group of beer dinners.  I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of all 10 beers they had on tap. All the beer at Escutcheon is drinkable, crushable and reasonably price for $6-7 a pint. And, the beer here is true to style.  No extra flavors, just good beer by the numbers. Brian was our beertender and he was great.  Thanks Brian, your sense of humor and knowledge of the beer as well as nautical terms made our night way better.  The brewers name is John and he brews clean flavors.  It is comforting when the beers taste like what they are. The BEER: Growler Kolsch 4.5% ABV... crisp and refreshing Fancy Clancy Pilsner 4.5% ABV... a light Pilsner for those Miller or Bud fans Maggie's Cream Ale 4.5% ABV... reminds me of Genesee Cream Ale, really drinkable Agonic Line Lager 5% ABV... I love this Lager, because it tastes like what it is Spica Hefeweizen 5.6% ABV... It's a not so typical hefe. Yummm... Bowditch American Pale Ale 5% ABV... APAs are not my palet, but this one was pretty good Plimsoll IPA 6.5% ABV... FIRE!!! This is delicious Slip Angle New England IPA 7% ABV... says its a NEIPA, but has the flavor profile of a west coast IPA Habermehels Oktoberfest lager 6.5 ABV... liked this One alot Annealed Coffee Stout 6.5% ABV... smells like coffee, tastes like coffee, give me some bacon and I've got breakfast For my first experience here, I was very impressed.  None of the ABVs were ridiculously high and the beers were true to their styles.  For me that was very comforting.  I am finding that here in Winchester, a night of beer drinking is Uber Affordable.  And Escutcheon is not the exception, but the rule.  If you want great beer at even greater affordability, Escutcheon is the place to visit.  I will be returning soon.

Only down side is that they can't delivery due to the small number of people who own and or run the accessory location next to the large modern clean winery space. But the main reason we went was to try the #freeLineDancingLessons offeredon on a certain number of Fridays at 6pm (must verify before you make to journey)! Or you may find yourself in a karaoke audience, if Line dancing rescheduled. It was a new experience for us but fun anyway w friendly customers and somewhat entertaining . But I was so eager to try Line dancing m, even if my husband can't participate in that, but it knew he would love that Place Pizza and could enjoy the country music. And he was feeling well enough to to agree since he wanted to see me do someone I thought would be fun. Good Man! (to accompany me for the pizza I sold him on and to enjoy some nice country music). I said where's that place you wanted to go? Said hewould accompany me to the Line Dancing. So we were disappointed about no dancing that night but we decided to stay & see what karaoke was all about;) I decided I could try for another Friday evening Line Dancing even if I had to go stagg. I would at least be being him home our favorite pizza, " the vegetarian " really awesome array of grilled peppers w sun dried tomatoes and cheeses . Only suggestions I can recommend to the very consistent pizza chef is to add a few items to the menu & to add to the veggie toppings available would be smashed Calamata, (or other fine black olives), a few swipes of goat cheese, and a handful of seared pine nuts to make an amazingly flavorful complement to the salt easy outstanding ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes, as additional toppings which by the way, they top off with arugula & offer a little sprinkle flavorful olive oil. Perhaps optional for all pizzas

I tried the white wine flight and thought the wines were solid, nothing mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable, and the pours were generous (great value!). The overall vibe is great, relaxed, friendly, and the outdoor seating tucked between the vineyards is super cute. Perfect spot to spend an afternoon.

I love the vibe and energy of this place, modern yet vintage! Looks like it was an old church in days gone by? The place is pretty big and pretty wide open so I imagine can become loud when it gets full. I ordered a rose from a local winery and the burger. (I was hangry). I took my number and sat wherever I wanted. I sat in front of a giant tv on the wall with pre superbowl stuff going on. My wine came out quickly, it was very nice! The burger came out next, it had cheese, lettuce, tomato and a bacon jam that was just right! The burger was juicy and I loved every bite of it! The burger came with fries that were very hot and crispy!! Zero complaints!!
