    Oysters from Nomini Bay.

Beer is quite good here and I particularly enjoyed the beers that would fall more in the lager category. none of the ingredients seem particularly overpowering, which meant that each of the beers that I tried here were a nice balance of the different hops and malts. What was particularly enjoyable here was the oysters that were on site. They were a food truck and I am not sure how often they are there but they were excellent and really opt the quality of this visit. These oysters were fresh and cooked on the grill, which is actually quite hard to find. I prefer grilled oysters to every other type of oyster preparation and they did an excellent job with their food.

An excellent pint after a long hike right across the street at Raven Rocks. The use of ingredients they grow in the farm in their seasonal beers made each of those four options all the better. The pumpkin ale was delicious with the lemongrass pale ale another great option. Check it out for the beer and stay for the view! They have an on site food truck too if you're hungry.

Oyster and shrimp man is here this weekend!

What more can I say? It's pumpkin beer season and theirs is delicious!!! They line the rim with cinnamon sugar!!!

We came here after Bear Chase. I really enjoyed the space. Nothing like grabbing a beer, or two, maybe even three and sit at the lawn overseeing the view. Service was friendly and quick.

    Pumpkin beer ale. Yummy.

A very nice brewery. I thought the beer choices were good, we both had the pumpkin ale. Food is provided by several food trucks. Decent inside and outside seating areas. The views our incredible. A must stop in the area.

    #1 pizza on menu.

Best fall tree leaves view point, and tasty beers and pizza. I like Great Country American Pilsner, light beer, tastes not bitter. 农庄自酿啤酒不错哦,赏枫叶,品啤酒,享受自然美丽。我喜欢他们的生啤酒/ American Pilsner 喝过后口感甜滋滋的,不苦。披萨也好吃。推荐。

So there I was, being picked up at the BWI airport (flew in from AZ), and my friends turn to me and ask "Are you ready?" The next thing I know, we're whisked away to Virginia. They know I LOVE an adventure. Well, I was definitely in for a beautiful treat. The panoramic view is incredible! And to be able to enjoy it by a fireplace or gas fire with a beer in hand and funny conversations with my friends, it was the best. We met a cute dude named "Shawn," at the firepit and it turned out we had a lot in common. We shared stories of our time in Germany and handmade items. He liked my hats I made (crocheted). The "lodge" overlooks the panoramic tiered view of the valley. It provided a beautiful backdrop for some shots of our beers. The beer was light and refreshing. It really hit the spot from having mainly polish beers. The outdoor area is impressive and smart. They have a stand alone stage, which sits lower so it does not obstruct the views and has wrapped around tiered seating with picnic tables. 3 tiers provide plenty of seating for large groups and families. Or you can sit on top and enjoy a gas firepit, or my favorite spot is the deep-set fireplace under the patio. Whatver spot you choose, you will not be disappointed. Parking is right up by the building so no need to take a long hike to enjoy yourself. I highly recommend this and their wine house down the hill.

I've heard so much about Dirt Farm Brewery for years, I finally got a chance to check them out! What a beautiful property! It really makes you feel like you're standing on top of the world! The drive up is so scenic, and relaxing. And of course, the incredible view, once you arrive will put all your worries aside, if just for a moment. We arrived here right when they opened on Wednesday at 12:00, no one else was here. We had my friend's four year old son with us. I got Tart 31 Cherry Ale, my friend got the Peachy Mother Pucker, both of these are sours. I especially liked the tartness of my Cherry Ale. It was sour, cherry and refreshing. For food, we got the pretzel and the hotdog. The food was below average. The pretzel was really hard, potentially stale. The hotdog was average. It had some chips on the side as well as some chili peppers. They also have a pretty big sandbox filled with toys for the littlest brewery goers. We all had such a fun time at Dirt Farm! The beers were delicious, the boy had a great time playing in the massive sand box, and of course the view was the best part. I highly recommend a visit to Dirt Farm!

Dirt Farm is my happy place in Virginia. My family loves coming here on the weekends, enjoying a cold brew, and admiring the views. They always have a great selection of beers on tap with seasonal rotations. The food from the food truck is great too. I love that they're dog friendly and have plenty of picnic tables and Adirondack chairs to choose from. There's even a large sandbox for kids to play in. Dirt Farm is a must to visit!

Stopped in here on a beautiful late summer day. The beers were okay, but the views and outdoor seating area are fantastic. The food menu is sparse but has enough on it to get something to eat. Lots of unsupervised kids running around. Service is quick.

What a view!! The beer and cider are delicious as well. Eclectic and awesome, this is definitely worth a visit. A lot of seating areas to choose from.

We went there today for the Nomini Bay Oyster Fest. The oysters are out of this world . They are the biggest and tastiest Oysters out there. "NAKED AND NOT AFRAID OYSTERS" the farm has spectacular views and is set up beautifully . Lots of seating area in different spots . There was also a food truck which belongs to the farm and the food looked good. Service was excellent and staff were really nice and accommodating.

Something something IPA, would you look at that view!

    Yes but outside area only

During colder weather, do they set up heaters near outside tables?

We took a turn and less than a mile off the main road was this very large footprint of a brewery. There is a huge play ground for kids, amazing views and ample outdoor seating. Lots of parking. (Unfortunately it's a cold and dreary day. So we are seated inside by the fireplace) The inside is clean, spacious and great decor. There are also a lot of sound absorbing panels which help when this place is really crowded. (I imagine). The inside is surrounded by large TVs. We are watching the Winter Olympics. Every beer we tried was excellent. We got a flight and also a sample of the cider. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The samples pours are very generous. The bathrooms are spotless. And the urinals are converted beer kegs. (Nice touch) Water is self service and readily available. The appetizers are smaller than anticipated, my only critique for our experience. The spicy cheese curds are actually spicy on the back end. I highly recommend.

So we waited another 30 minutes to wait in line, that took another 15 minutes. Once our food was ordered we waited for another hour and a half... still nothing We decided to cancel our order and leave. The beer is average I'd say. Atmosphere is pretty decent, usually clean bathrooms. We've been several times. The last time we went, the food was average as well. Overall, I'd say it's an average place but definitely stay away on holidays.

We definitely understand the appeal, as the food was good, the drinks were good, and the staff were great. We likely ordered too much fried food while there (and it all tasted great), but next time I might substitute some of the fried fare with a salad. But our eyes were drawn to the other tables around us where patrons were chomping on fried pickles (yum), French fries (tasty enough), and onion rings (outstanding). My only recommendations to the owners would be to stick a few more healthy items. Before I close out, I must send another shout out to the owners (a husband and wife team who were staffing the place the day we visited). They are awesome!! I loved the conversations with them and would return to Horseshoe just for drinks and a chuckle... and the onion rings! Final thoughts = check this place out if nearby, but be sure to balance the fried food with a salad.

The place was busy (as to be expected on a Saturday night) but they were well staffed. Service was excellent! I wish I could remember our server's name. She was very attentive and had no problem keeping up with my boyfriend drinking gallons of tea. I tried it, I can see why, they have really good sweet tea!! I had the BEST Hefeweizen and we started with an order of calamari to share which was cooked perfectly. It was served with some sort of mayo-based sauce which I don't like, so I asked the server if they had cocktail sauce. "We don't.....but I think I can make you some!" She came back a few minutes later with a cup of cocktail sauce they whipped up for me!!! For entrees, he ordered the filet. It was a beautiful cut of steak, tender, and cooked perfectly. I was craving fish n chips but my friend had demanded I try the jagerschnitzel....so I ordered both lol. I'm going to have leftovers for days and I'm not mad about it!! Both meals were incredible and very generous portions. Fish was perfectly crispy and the gravy on the jagerschnitzel....mmm....I don't even have words! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a variety of seating options. I tend to have anxiety in crowded spaces but I was perfectly comfortable here. Overall we had an incredible experience and can't wait to go back! This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time!

The beer selection is awesome, they have an exceptional Heffervisen. However, the service has always been sketchy. I'm giving it a one star because this last experience earned it. We were seated at a table that lines up against the wall, guy brought water over, and then nothing. No one ever talked to us or even acknowledged our presence. There were not a lot of customers and most of the staff were very busy on their cell phones. After 10 minutes we talked to a busboy, I think, because they don't seem to have a uniform, and asked if we even have a waiter or waitress. He went over to the hostess (only person that actually did their job) and it looked like he yelled at her. Lot of finger pointing. After another 7 minutes (I timed it) we called it and were starting to get up when the water guy came over to take our order. We said not a chance, thanks, goodnight. Both my wife and I have worked in the service industry, we treat staff well, we tip well at 30% at least, and we don't bitch a lot. When I write a critique it's usually in the hopes that the manager or owner will reach out, say they are making corrections, and then we will try it again. If there is nothing then that's exactly how much of our business they get in the future. Easy fixes, pick a uniform, train your staff, manage your staff, and make sure they keep their cell phones out of sight of the customers, no one wants to see that. Thanks, hope to hear something back.
