Old Hill Cider is part of Showalter's Orchard. You see one, you see the other. The orchard grows…read morethe apples that are used in the cider. (In the fall, you can even pick the apples!!) If you're in the area, Old Hill is a great spot to try. You can't go wrong with cider, especially with the number of options that they have that range from dry to sweet. We tried the cider flight and Jenny was amazing! She was very attentive and friendly. I asked about the LOVE sign and she not only pointed me in the direction but she was nice enough to talk our picture! Do a guided tasting. Or take the flight and sit outside and enjoy the view. Make sure to stop in during the fall and enjoy the changing colors, some apple picking, and their apple cider donuts!

Delicious crisp ciders with unique flavors and a light touch of sweetness. The ciders aren't sugary…read moresweet like Angry Orchard or Bold Rock but not dry like the ciders down south in Charlottesville. The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

We really appreciated the accommodation with a baby and a big dog, the cider was good though selection was not huge (5), food was cursory but tasty- we enjoyed the panini, ambiance was inviting, service was very pleasant. They offer a nice variety of ciders, wines, and cocktails, so there's something for everyone. We visited on a Wednesday and found the service to be a little slow, although the staff was friendly. We had the chicken Cesar wrap and turkey sandwich, which were both alright but nothing particularly stellar. The cocktails were definitely a highlight! My friend had the strawberry sour cocktail, and I had one made with gin and lemon called Marc c --both were delicious. We also tried several of the ciders, which were a little sweeter than my personal preference, and the wine was just OK. That said, I have to admit we had just come from several wineries, so the wine had some tough competition! Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for the beautiful setting, cocktails, and atmosphere. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends

The hostess/server gave us a great introduction to all of the options & we made our selections. We opted to sit out on the deck to enjoy the beautiful weather and wonderful view of the countryside. The server shared her photos from the northern lights the other night and they were spectacular. We met Ginny, the resident pup and had a lovely visit enjoying the tasty ciders. Highly recommend stopping in - the Gloaming was my favorite!

If you drive a low clearance vehicle, beware. I almost got stuck. The atmosphere is cute and clean; bathrooms were private and clean as well. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. We had a flight which was reasonably priced. This is where my compliments end. Not a single person in our party enjoyed a single flavor out of 6. This isn't just personal preference, the taste is bad. A number of reviews reference the taste of nail polish remover and I have to agree. The two stars are only because of the nice workers. I would not recommend to anyone.
