Tasting and sipping area

Absolutely beautiful property! Perfect for sitting outside and drinking cider with friends. The owners, Chester and Trish, are extremely sweet and informative about the ciders and the land. I will say, the ciders were not much for the taste of our group. The owners explained the ciders were more like a wine, and that's just their unique way of making it. Which is fine! But if you were like us and expecting the more traditional bubbly, crisp hard cider, this isn't it. So just be prepared for the style if you go!

Chester, the owner, talking about his newest flavor of cider.

Quaint and relaxing place to enjoy cider tasting and a charcuterie board with family. They recommended stopping at Firefly Farms to pick up the charcuterie which was only 9 minutes away. The owners were precious. Trish and Chester were more like hosts in their home instead of business owners. The ambience of flowers, beautiful lighting and background music all made the experience even better. Definitely a must stop if you're near Accident, Maryland.

What a hidden gem! The ciders are made in a way closer to wine making, so they are more refined rather than sickly sweet. I loved doing the tasting and even got a couple bottles to share. The setting is so lovely and just compliments the delicious cider.

We were greeted warmly by Chester and we clicked instantly. We were the only couple there and outdoor tastings were offered of their three ciders. They are all dry (YES!!), no sugar, and no carbonation. Trish showed up, who is the other owner of the Cidery, SOO FRIENDLY! We learned about the business, family, and their approaches towards cider making. We felt so grateful being hosted by them and the experience felt very personal. Feel free to bring food with you, dogs are welcome, and room for their delicious ciders! No doubt they will succeed and take off, make a point to visit!

Amazing ciders, great people and a beautiful view, what more can you ask for? Trish and Chester have amazing ciders, a few of which I'm itching to get back for. Definitely check out the flower fields while your here!!

A MUST visit destination for a bachelorette party, family reunion, or just a quick trip to the lake. We were welcomed warmly by Trish, the owner, who told us the rich history of the cidery and gave us a glimpse of her life on this property - from cider making to the other things they had to offer. For $10 a person, we tasted the ciders - all made with no sugar added, so they were on the dry side - and they were delicious! We took a walk up to the flower garden where the beautiful blossoms offered for her second business of creating wedding flowers grow, and she even gifted our bride with her own bouquet that day! She was so welcoming and clearly loved having visitors - and from the cider to the flowers to the conversations - it was all wonderful! 100% would recommend a visit to this quaint and friendly haven slightly off the beaten path.

Beautiful set-up, great hosts. I never heard of a cidery before so we stumbled upon the place, but what a great discovery!

Visited 29 JUL 24 We stayed in Frostburg a couple years ago,…read morehere to bike ride on the GAP trail. I instantly liked the town. The little section of downtown Main Street where The Toasted Goat is located reminds me of the little towns depicted in Hallmark movies. The area does need some revitalization, a little sprucing up, and fresh businesses but the potential is certainly there. The Toasted Goat is adjacent to a historic hotel, the Gunter Hotel. The first star of this restaurant is the place itself. If you like turn of the century buildings, that ornate stonework, you will like this place. The inside, except for a few too many TV screens, has retained the "Speakeasy" look that it used to be. Our server, was very good, he even has a "period" look with the handlebar mustache and suspenders. Our sandwiches did take a little longer than I thought they should have at 1300 on a Monday. The colorful metal tall chairs that have at the tables likely work fine for college kids and other slender lightweight folk, but were a bit uncomfortable for us. We moved to a table near the front window that had lower chairs with traditional padding. My wife got a Turkey Rueben and I tried the New Orleans Muffaletta. We both had fires, standard but well prepared. He turkey sandwich was good, she felt the braised cabbage versus a traditional sauerkraut actually had a bit of sauerkraut tang to it- she still liked it. I have never had a Muffaletta, but I have seen them on the food shows. This didn't quite look like those, certainly not substantial like the TV ones. It was however tasty and enough for lunch. We got out for $41 and a $10 tip...so a little steep, but that's where pricing is these days. Worth the stop, would come here again if we are back in the area.

The service was friendly and speedy. I had a panini rueben which was amazing! Nice and crusty as it should be on the outside and delicious! The fries are homemade and done right!

They were also making fresh brick oven pizzas although we did not have any they looked good. There is a chapel-like building right there that was set up for a wedding that afternoon and it was very cute with black painted corrugated ceiling and stained glass windows. There are also cabins on-site which would probably be good for the wedding party although they didn't look too great and built a little jenky. The tasting room was small and cozy with stone walls and beams all around. There was one person working the tasting room and it was crowded but she was pleasant and efficient and we didn't have to wait too long in between pours. The wine isn't great and they don't grow their own grapes but outsource them from California, New York and other areas. They do have a nice Niagara wine (obviously from NY) and the BlackBerry Merlot was pretty good too. We bought a bottle of each of those but the others were just meh or yuck. (A few even had a vinegar taste to them). But it's a cute winery and I still recommend a visit. There were 5 in our group and after our tasting we each got a glass to enjoy on the covered patio while listening to the music piped into the outdoor speakers (current music from 70s to now but nothing obnoxious). Tasting was super cheap at only $5. It's worth a visit.

I was traveling back from Florida hoping to pull off a surprise evening with my partner and friends, and Janet, Nathan, and their team of great employees went above and beyond to help make it happen. Their kindness and willingness to lean into the moment made what could have been just a nice dinner turn into a really memorable night. The setting is beautiful, relaxed, and welcoming in that effortless way that makes you want to linger a bit longer. The wood fired pizza and other delicious offerings are consistently excellent, and the wines and cocktails are always right on point. If you tend toward drier wines, which can sometimes be a rare find in western Pennsylvania, Nathan is absolutely delivering here. What keeps us coming back though is the people. Janet, Nathan, and the team have created something special, and you feel that from the minute you walk in. Already looking forward to the next visit.
