The worst bar tender ever. Rude, nasty, doesn't care about customers, made us want to leave right away.

Don't bother with this place. What a waste of time. The cider tastes like dish water and the staff is rude as hell. My friends and I were there last night (12/05/2025) and the bar tender acted like he couldn't care less about customers. He was so rude he put us all in a bad mood.

Most delicious cider from Winchester Ciderworks!

Another great cidery! Always like hitting up a bunch of cideries and breweries and having a series of memorable and lovely drinking experiences with each one! For this cidery Steve and I enjoyed the black currant hard cider. Unique in ingredients and not your typical run of the mill cider this berry oriented cider didn't prove to be overly sweet like a lot of berry ciders can be. The dryness and sweetness were balanced in a well handled way making this cider drinking experience one of complexity and enjoyment. The not often seen... or perhaps used black currant paved the way for something unique and memorable which this cider definitely provided as I do enjoy currants and reminds me being around currant bushes when I was a child but now is something that just is highly infrequent which I miss when enjoying this cider.

We love this place. Very friendly staff and very comfy low key vibe. The ciders here are decadent! Very vast pallet of favors here. The ciders are not overly sweet with very complex flavors. Can get by the glass or they offer taster size pours. Can also get cans or growlers to go. Have some outdoor seating as well as seating inside. Take a look around as they have a lot of local history posted on the walls. There are a few dart boards in the back as well. They do have some snacks available for purchase.

Winchester is a really friendly place that was a lot bigger and more bar-like than I expected. They even had food option! Pretzels and microwaveable meat-pies, but still food. I ordered a full flight, and my server was kind enough to add a few more in, one of them a mix of two that were on tap. She was also very personable, to the point of trading stories. So service - check. I wasn't overly keen on the bourbon-aged ciders, but I liked several of the flagship ciders a lot. My favorite was the old-English Malice, with the pear being a close second. This place is definitely worth a revisit, if not a long visit just to have a few pints.

Ciderworks is a rustic bar type of place in a over 125 year old building used for a variety of things through the times on an Apple Orchard. They serve a nice selection of hard ciders. They range from mild to wild , some with bourbon flavor and such ciders as one with ginger. Best way to start if you are not familiar with their hard ciders is to try a flight or 2 ! Some are sweet and some are dry, they selection is good. The food is limited to pretzels with mustard or a gourmet cheese block and box of Carrs crackers- cheese is local from Berryville and quite good. They sometimes offer live music and can get pretty busy, otherwise it is pretty chill. The staff is friendly and great about telling about the ciderworks. Located just outside of town, it is worth swinging by for a taste. They offer ciders to go in cans or growlers. Check this place out. Some music when there us not a group playing would be nice as it was pretty quiet. Nice bar, plenty of tables.

Very chill, friendly service, quite a variety of ciders, and huge interior. Cool place!

We hosted a party here for about 50 people. It was a great venue. The cider was awesome, the staff was great to work with, and the owners were so accommodating! I would highly recommend Winchester Ciderworks.

    Perfect day for some cider!!!

The setup in the back was pretty neat and included benches with umbrellas, board games, kids toys, overhanging lights, and a small shed where you can order and pick up the cider. The server was pretty engaging as far as tastings and describing the cider went. I had the valley roots and wolf reserve. What stuck out was a very crisp taste of the cider with very little to no sugary additions. The smell was like fresh apples and the blend of apples used was very unique to Va and not common around Pennsylvania. Highly recommend stopping here especially in the warmer nights of the summer. Very good cider, great outdoor atmosphere, right next to downtown, and extremely reasonably priced.

A wide open space and hard cider. What else could you possibly need. Our server was Kelly and she was great. Heck... she built us a fire. She sold us a hat. She was nice to our dog. And she gave great service. Even if you are not a fan of cider, what a great place to hang out. And if you are a craft beer drinker, this cidery shares a parking lot with a brewery. So double the fun.

The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

I am not a fan of the Meade or cider, but my wife was so we drove the gravel road to the Old Hill Hard Cider brewery and orchard, and the view was spectacular. High up on a hill looking down over the valley. As for the service, she was incredibly accommodating. We ordered a flight of ciders and chatted with her about the dry versus the sweet. In the end my wife found a wonderful option, the Virginia blackberry cider. She said it was her favorite. I had a Virginia tannin which I found matched a white Sauvignon blanc in some flavor, and was good for sipping in the shade on top the hill. Later we walked through the market, grabbed a 1/2 gallon of cider and pet the area dog before we headed out. I wish it was closer, but it deserved a 5 star for the cider.
