Fajita salad
Jeff H.

The reasons to go to coaches corner are the cheeseburger eggrolls and the hockey pucks, aka fried oreos. My wife and I went for dinner on 7/21/2024. My wife had the fajita salad. The meat was nice and tender but lacked seasoning especially salt. Overall the salad was tasty. The Chipotle ayoli is very tasty. I had the taco salad. The meat was unflavored, lacked seasoning, especially salt. Overall the salad was tasty. I do enjoy the edible bowl but that also needs salt. I had fried oreos for dessert. Delicious as always. The restaurant wasn't busy but service wasn't very good. The server actually brought the check without offering us dessert. Our server did not come by while we were eating to check on us. The only reason I got a drink refill is another server came by to clear plates and asked about drink refills. Very disappointing. The only reason I would go back is the fried oreos or maybe the cheeseburger eggrolls.

Half eaten, partially violated. Hey they brought some extra pickles. Bring me another mai tai!

Soccer moms and t-ball coaches gather all summer long. In the fall it's an endless rotation of NASA scientists in physics joke T-shirts, an electron, proton and neutron walk into a bar.... Between the balls, bigger than most, and the bats, swing batter swing, it makes you wonder why the music is so loud. Did you not want to hear what your date was saying? So I scored a two point conversion. A clear metaphor for a burger + BBQ sandwich which somehow came with Cole slaw. I know I'm in the minority here but Cole slaw is a clear violation of the meat code I live by. If god wanted me to eat Cole slaw, he wouldn't have invented cows (pigs not withstanding). Meat... because god said so.

Our go to place in Pville. Service is excellent, atmosphere is inviting, and the hand cut fries are the best in the county.

Dirty from top to bottom. Food was worse than mediocre. Definitely not a return visit. Won't be back.

If you want to go back in time where restaurants charge people extra for using a credit card, Coach's is the place for you.

Just learned they closed the Lovettsville VA location permanently. According to many on line articles and several press releases, the rent was increased by 30%. In this season of economic uncertainty, that is not a wise decision. We will miss our drives from MD for the Friday evening and Tuesday afternoon stop-ins. There was no other Wing place that compared! Add to that the life music and well, we will miss Velocity.

He let us try a few beers since they were out of the Partly Cloudy IPA we came in for- bummer. We got a house salad (which is huge!!) and it was just the 'roughage' I needed. We got an order of 10 boneless wings - medium and teriyaki. Both great! The medium flavor was fairly cold though so we should have sent them back. But we were too hungry. We also got an order of shoestring fries (extra crispy) first which were delicious. Maybe should have waited to make a meal as they were $7 but we know for next time. All the college games were on - good time. Please turn the AC down when it's freezing outside! We had to keep our jackets on.

The hot Italian had just the right kick, the steak & cheese was hearty and satisfying, and the kids meal didn't feel like an afterthought (always a win). The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting--definitely worth adding on. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff truly stood out--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. Easy spot to recommend for a casual, really solid lunch. Will definitely be back.

Stereotypical decor and menu, Grains and Grog stood painfully empty on a Saturday afternoon playing music nostalgic to anyone who graduated high school before 2010. I ordered a Manhattan. Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back

According to one of the lovely staff,"Bia" means food in Irish, in case you were curious. They have a full bar with lots of quality spirits to choose from. The beer selection is all draught, no bottled beer. We decided to share some appetizers with our drinks. We ordered PEI mussels, champagne peppercorn patè and fried calamari. All the appetizers were excellent. The patè was presented nicely with accoutrements of fig jam, cornichon, macerated tomatoes and bread. The mussels were offered in a Thai curry sauce but we asked for another serving option due to an allergy concerns. They offered us a white wine and garlic option and we gladly took it. The mussels were cooked very well, the flavor was clean and mild but could have used stronger seasoning, The fried calamari was executed perfectly. It was crispy, tender, flavorful with zero greasiness. The garlic tomato aioli accompanied the dish well. We shared the beef medallions as our entree and a side of fries because I spotted a server carrying fish and chips and the steak fries style potatoes were speaking to me. The steak was tender and flavorful and the Demi glaze brought the dish together. The fries were crispy and salty and wonderful, I'm glad I was inspired. We saved room for dessert and chose churros and Dubai chocolate. Both were a great finish to our dining experience.
