We had an amazing time at The Cardinal Bar. We came to visit the town for my birthday weekend and this place was one of the highlights of our trip. Josh took great care of us and drinks were amazing. Ambiance was so good, the vibe of the place was great and we definitely loved the music. We're definitely coming back. Thanks Josh!

Second time here. The vibe is WV dive bar meets hipster sports bar. The hotdogs are legit. The owners are adorable.

We arrived shortly after opening and the bartender treated us very well. Kitschy hot dog only menu with beers on tap, canned cocktails and signature cocktails. Not a full bar offering unlimited mixed drink options. Very cool spot!

I've been to this bar many times as I am a local and every single time I am met with great vibes, great service, and lots of laughs and a good time. I usually go when Krista and Josh are bartending and they do an amazing job. Incredible service even when the bar is packed. Very good at multitasking and controlling the crowd. The managers are amazing people and always very welcoming.. and don't get me started about the hot dogs... SO GOOD. I highly recommend anyone to stop by, especially if you're visiting! Always good music good vibes and a good time.

The lady and I stopped in for some New Year's Day drinks. The bartender, Hynnja, was great. Drinks were good and service was great.

At that point it was also difficult to find another place for such a large group. Thankfully, Meghan from the Big Cork team truly made our day! She was incredibly kind, patient, and went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. Thanks to her, we still had a wonderful time. We are very grateful for her help. We really liked Big Cork and look forward to coming back again when the weather gets warmer.

He told me Maryland specialized in Cabernet Franc and Viognier and I knew nothing about Big Cork prior to arrival, but dad it was named as a top 10 tasting room by USA Today. Bold claim, especially coming from California. It was an absolutely beautiful day to visit Big Cory on Sunday. U called to confirm I didn't need a reservation, was told I didn't. That was nice, so I continued my drive to the winery, following three other vehicles that turned into the winery grounds. Ample parking, stunning grounds and views of the surrounding area. A big white building with a surround patio greeted me as I walked in, taking in the ambiance of the place. It was busy with patrons sitting outside, standing at mo sitting at the bar. I was greeted by an English chap, names Andy who said he works be right with me. Gave me a few minutes to look around and take in the experience. Andy greeted me and told me to grab any seat. Told him o was new to Maryland wine, as it was my first time at any winery outside of Paso Robles. I guts my expectations were high but I dialed them back as I ordered my tasting flight. Not a big white fan, I was impressed I'm with their Chardonnay, not buttery like the California. It was light, crisp and fruity. A very well done white. In fact I enjoyed it more than the Sauvignon Blanc, which if drinking a white I usually lean towards. Found this a bit too sweet. On to the reds, which is what I was reliably looking forward to. Andy took time to explain each wine, some characteristics and processes behind each glass. Their Meritage, a red blend was okay but was missing something for my liking. I did however enjoy the Cab Franc as single varietal. Never got to the Siberian Ice but was treated to the Syrah, Nebbiolo and Black Label Malbec. Those last two tasting were wonderful. My tastings done, I ordered a glass of the Rose Brut as I took care of Andy and my bill. I did walk out with a bottle of Chardonnay and Cab Franc. Overall a wonderful tasting with some good wines. Worth checking out but being from Paso I'm not going out of my way to find East Coast wines. I know what my palate enjoys but a little change now and then can be a good thing. If I get t girlfriend out, we will be back.

If you plan on a day to wine hop, pack a small cooler with ice so you can take the cheese with you. Most cheese packs are sold with 4 blocks of cheese in 1 pkg. The Catawba brand of wine was was very nice, but the Cosmo slushy is better. It's refreshing on a hot day. TIP: limited parking in front of the facility & it sits on a corner of a highly traveled main road. Go past the winery, (right side; right lane) and take a right at its corner; take another right onto E Maple, the next street. From there, on the right is a graveled path. That's their area for patrons to park. Approx 8 cars can fit on left side of the path. No Food. Just cheese, crackers, and BlackOut pretzels.

The barrel aged wines that are specific like basil Hayden and makers mark are a very nice and unique touch! Made the wine very smooth! My husband is a super sweet (like grape juice sweet) wine drinker, and there wasn't a lot sweet enough for him but he did enjoy the raspberry wine slush and the peach wine! We will be back if we are in the area again!

Theres seating at the bar and a couple tables. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly. We ordered a few drinks and the bartender was very nice to talk to. She is very passionate about the art of drink making and shared her tips and tricks. She makes a great espresso martini but would probably make you anything you asked for and would enjoy the chance to be creative. We ordered a brie platter which was decent. It was what we were looking for (not a heavy meal). They have wine for sale in the back, as well as assorted ciders, seltzers, and beers. A bit pricey in my opinion for certain items, but that's okay! They have coffee and t shirts for sale too. Dogs are allowed here and the locals seem to know each other and the bartenders know their names too. Very nice and homey to go somewhere that everyone knows each other!! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Well it all worked out how it was supposed to because the food, ambiance, and service were great here! Water carafes were provided to the table & we ordered several drinks. All of the cocktails were beautiful, colorful and had curated understated garnishes. I enjoyed the jalapeño lime fizz, one of the non-intoxicants. Food took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The red pepper pesto with linguine was creamy and rich and topped with fresh Parmesan. I only wish I'd had a piece of bread to sop up the sauce at the end! I'd be interested in trying their brunch and lunch options if I'm in the area again. Our server, Tom, was attentive. The bathrooms are clean and nicely warm thanks to a heater. We all had a great time.
