We all ordered sandwiches and wings. The wings were tasty. The sandwiches were yummy with the homemade chips. Our waiter was very attentive and provided great service!

Ok, I'm going out on a limb and giving 4 stars here, mostly because so many of the other revies were bad. We came for a late lunch on a Friday, and it was unseasonably warm for November so we were able to enjoy the beautiful patio. It's not the best view because it looks out over 522, but it's pretty high up so much nicer than that other road side restaurants. Their patio is very dog friendly and our waitress even brought water for our pup. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. When my husband commented that he didn't like his blond ale she offered to exchange it. My Antitum red ale was much better so he swapped to that one. My brother in law got a local IPA which he really enjoyed. The men got burgers which were quite large. I don't think it was a gourmet burger but perfectly decent and there weren't any crumbs left. I got the fish sandwich which was a very generous portion and fried perfectly and quite reasonable for $14. The house made potato chips were nice. Food came out reasonably quickly so a good experience all around!

Food is great every time we come here. Love the ambience inside and the deck seating with such a nice view! Had the pasta Alfredo today and it was magnificent! My wife had the peach frisée salad and it was superb!

Amazing find in Berkeley Springs!! The hostess and waitress were both so sweet and quick to seat and serve us. So many options on the menu looked incredible it was hard to choose. The food came out quickly and it was delicious! One of the specials for the day was a buffalo wrap and we also got a crab cake. The menu is well marked for gluten free items! The restaurant itself was so clean and roomy. If it wasn't for the rainy weather we would have taken advantage of their beautiful balcony. Would absolutely come back!

Dirty windows..slow service...lousy food .....we visited back in April 2023 Arrived around eight pm...very few people...took a while to seat us...don't understand why... Girlfriend ordered Stella..,wanted it in a small glass...waitress said they didn't have Stella glasses.,wtf...that's not what she asked ... Girlfriend ordered crab cakes. ..I,had ribeye ...ribeye was very fatty...crab cakes were unedible.. Got waitress to get manager who agreed to take half off the crab cakes...all in all..will never go back no matter how nice the view Also need to wash the windows..Got a look at the kitchen and wasn't happy on what I saw with the door open Health department needs to come and make an inspection... Will never go back...head to the Berkeley spa in town and eat at the hotel there. ..great breakfast lunch and dinner

The "brisket" on the sandwich was basically jerky.

Have stopped here many times and it's always been really good. Today though (I hope it's an anomaly) I opted for the brisket sandwich which was disappointing. The meat was sliced super thin and was dry. It had the texture and chew of jerky. The sweet potato fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Again I'm hoping this was just a bad day for the beef.

This is a two night review. The food and ambiance were so incredible I made a return trip after last nights dinner. First night I shared the fried green tomatoes, crab dip and pork BBQ nachos. All of which were well prepared and arrived in good order. The fried green tomatoes were hot, delicious and well presented, the Crab Dip was more than enough for the party of 8 and the nachos blew me away with its towering deliciousness. BBQ pork, pico de gallo, cheese, and jalapeños with sour cream all piled up and melted into one of the best nachos presentations I've seen in quite a awhile. Everything blended together to create a wonderful appetizer dining experience. The icing on the cake was the BBQ Brisket platter served up with with a vinaigrette Jalapeño cole slaw and a nicely prepared sweet potato. . The brisket was plentiful and near equal to that which I tried at Franklin BBQ in Austin Texas, Tonight we had the Pork BBQ nachos which was just as awesome as the previous night, followed by a 1/2 spinach salad and 1/2 BBQ chicken salad, both of which were delicious and incredibly big for just 1/2 salads. The musician tonight added to the nice ambiance and excellent food rounding out two really nice dining experiences. This is certainly a must stop for lunch or dinner on future trips and I'll make sure I call ahead for a reservation as this place is hopping. To top it off we picked up at To Go order which was a bowl of the cream of crab soup, which my daughter absolutely loved and said that it was loaded with crab but a good many shells. I remarked that it was a good sign showing real crab was used! In addition she ordered up a cheese burger that was cooked perfectly! The only disappointment was having the extra charge added to our bill by using a debit card, not a credit card but a debit card. Please don't ruin a great experience by being penny wise and pound stupid. Trying to make up the difference is why food cost is in place along with rolling fees into a menu. I suggest they post a sign outside saying you will be charged for using credit and debit cards and not hide it on the bill in small print. Don't hide these fees, instead be a little more transparent, or absorb them in day to day costs, which is much better customer service.

We drove by this place on the way to the nearby park, and knew we would stop here for lunch. It has a stellar view. The food was mediocre, though the service was good. We ordered a cheese platter appetizer, which advertised local cheese. I had high hopes. Instead, grocery store orange cheddar, a very mild white cheese, and this liquidy, shredded cheese that just presented terribly and lacks any taste. It came with a large dab of mustard and apple butter, neither one of which complimented any cheese, and a pile of Carr's water crackers. It did also have a half dozen sliced pickles, which were good. Lunch itself consisted of a pair of sandwiches, one "Carolina" BBQ pulled pork, and one brisket. The pulled pork sandwich came out covered in a very sweet, red BBQ sauce. It might have been a little overly sweet, but it actually complimented the pulled pork well. But. That's not a Carolina style pulled pork sandwich -- Carolina style is with the spiced vinegar sauce. I have seen places that combine the two styles, meat cooked in the vinegar based sauce and slathered with the tomato, but this pulled pork lacked any hint of vinegar to it. Not bad, but not what I expected, not what I wanted, not what I ordered. It had, however, completely soaked through the bun, to the point where the bun was starting to break down -- makes me wonder if this was pre-made. The brisket sandwich was fairly good. The brisket itself had great taste, and the jalapeno sauce, which wasn't overly spicy, nicely complimented it. Finally, I will say that while the view of the hills is nice, it does overlook a busy road. It does make getting out tricky (especially if you're turning left). Location is nice, service was good, food was mediocre.

The atmosphere was one of the best parts of the experience. The music was great, people were singing, and the whole place felt fun, relaxed, and like somewhere you genuinely want to spend time. The hostess was wonderful, and our server, Trinity, was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing, and that made the experience even better. We started with drinks at the table, and both were excellent. The Washington's Rebellion Cherry Bounce was memorable and very well done, and the house smoked old fashioned was also delicious. We then had the Roasted Brussels, and they were absolutely amazing. The combination of honey, balsamic glaze, candied pecans, and parmesan was outstanding. For the main course, I had the Powderhorn Chop, and the flavor was very good. My only critique is that it would have benefited from a stronger sear and a bit more crust on the outside. A little more Maillard reaction, that browning of proteins and sugars that creates deeper savory complexity, would have elevated it even further. We also had a salmon special that evening, and that was outstanding. Dessert was another highlight, especially the warm pecan bourbon pie with ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Service was a major strength. In addition to Trinity being so warm and attentive, other staff members, including management, came by to make sure everything was going well. We also appreciated that they offer a military discount. This was our first time here, and so far it is the best restaurant we have tried in the Berkeley Springs area. We were told they are expanding, and we are already looking forward to coming back, especially if outdoor seating is added in the future. This feels like exactly the kind of place we will return to often, especially when friends come to visit.

Located on a hill - plenty of parking across the street. The restaurant is inside an older style home but it still has nice space, and is very quaint, quiet and intimate. Low lighting and just a very cozy atmosphere. The time of your reservation is the time of your seating so coming early doesn't mean you'll be sat early. Ordered a mixed drink from the bar and a half bottle of some wine for the table. It is a fixed price menu, but there are some very good options that cover a lot of different flavors and tastes. For an appetizer I went with the special soup: French onion - which wasn't the traditional kind with the cheese melted over the bowl. Instead it was a piece of bread with melted cheese in the soup. Not my favorite presentation I've ever had of this dish - but the flavor was good. Also tried the fried green tomatoes - which were good. Really liked the pimento cheese under the tomato slices and the other garnish sauces on the plate. For my entree I chose the filet mignon. It was paired with mashed potatoes and a cream sauce. Steak was ordered medium, parts of it were definitely rare. Still very good. Added a side of mac and cheese which was very creamy and good. For the dessert, I opted to go with the carrot cake. Probably the best dessert I've had in recent memory: cake was moist, the topping was a very sweet cream cheese and caramel drizzle. Overall, this place was very good. Our waitress was very personable and talkative, providing ideas and taking the time to make sure our experience was normal and comfortable. Would highly recommend here.

The experience was very pleasant and unhurried, and we appreciated not having to drive far. The seating arrangement was comfortable, allowing for easy conversation with my husband without the frequent interruptions of loud noises. Our server was attentive and had to repeat all the specials because there were so many, which was impressive. Despite being a prix fixe menu, there were still plenty of options to choose from. For appetizers, I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were definitely shareable. The portion size was generous. For the main course, I had the crab cakes, and once again, the serving was substantial. They certainly did not skimp on the portions. We shared a half bottle of Montepulciano wine, which was perfect and a great midpoint for the meal. The dessert was just the right amount to have a sweet bite without overindulging. Overall, we spent about 1.5 hours enjoying an intimate meal with a lot of good food to choose from in a cute, quaint house. Definitely recommended! L

NOTE: There is NO WiFi at the cabins, only at the main lodge(you have to be inside the main lodge-to access the wifi- which closes at 8pm). To get from the lodge to the cabin we stayed at, the road was not well paved--it was bumpy and mostly rocks and unpaved terrain. We stayed at one of the cabins that is a five-minute walk or two-minute drive from the main lodge. The resort is a short drive from the small town and state park with hiking and mountain biking which is amazing Our cabin had a fire pit area, picnic table, porch with chairs, two bedrooms (one with two beds), two full bathrooms, a kitchen table, microwave, coffee machine, heater and AC, and a TV area with couches and chairs. Sadly they only provided us with 3 paper plates and cups, and plastic silverware, there was no room service who came to replenish our eating materials(as we thought there would be) so after one night, we had nothing to eat out of or with. Additionally there is no way to cook/make food, only a microwave to reheat with. The satellite TV service is spotty, and you can't sign into subscriptions. The people working at the front desk of the lodge were always very resourceful and kind. Unfortunately, the main lodge's pool and fitness center are only open for limited hours from 10am to 6pm. That was very frustrating because those were the hours of the day I was out mountain biking and hiking. The pool is decently heated and was neither too cold nor too hot. The jacuzzi wasn't hot at all--it's actually colder than the pool. There is a sauna there, but it wasn't open when we went. Right next to the lodge, there are extremely nice pickleball and tennis courts with provided equipment. Sadly, swimming in the lake wasn't allowed during our stay. The lodge property is decently large with a lot of greenery and hiking trails. I bet it would be very beautiful during the fall with fall foliage.

The hostess had a table quickly cleaned off for us and were sat within 2 minutes - it's beautiful outside - love the little sting lights, mountain/hills and got to see several trains pass through. Our server was fantastic - I didn't catch his name, but very attentive and friendly. When we ordered the Charcuterie Board, he said we wouldn't be disappointed and he was right. Not only was the presentation impressive - love the wooden boards- it was generous amounts! Two large cheeses (Fontina and Brie), two types of meats (prosciutto and a spicy salami type), candied walnuts, blueberries, mix of Kalamata and green olives, fig jam, and baguette. Great quality, great quantity, and so good! We ended up taking about a 1/3 of it home with us and enjoyed next day with sourdough from Bolivar Bread. The food at other tables looked just as delicious. I'd absolutely return next time I'm back in Harper's Ferry.

My partner and I came for lunch today on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. We were seated at a nice…read moretable overlooking the train station with the mountain in the background. The table had an umbrella, so we were able to enjoy the outdoors without being in the sun. We ordered the Cobb Salad ($20) and Red Rice and Hemp Burger ($15) with a side salad instead of fries (additional $2 for the salad). The Cobb salad was very good. Large portion with big chunks of moist chicken. The salad was fresh and tasty. Italian dressing was good. The "Hemp" Burger was a new one on me, but essentially i understand it is a rice-based burger with Hemp seeds for protein. It comes in a large bun with caramelized onion and bbq sauce. I liked it. It has a mild flavor, the patty is pretty soft and the combination of flavors was very pleasant. The "side" salad was large and very fresh. I enjoyed the vinaigrette very much. Unfortunately, our server went AWOL after dropping off our food. We had a question and he wasn't around. My water glass was empty and no sight. My partner's water glass was empty for a while and - I kept looking around - but no sighting. I finally did something I hate to do, which is to call over another server, but we both were thirsty and needed something to drink. That server was very nice and promptly came over with a water pitcher for us. The bad service really wrecked what was otherwise a good meal in a nice atmosphere. So, here's the thing. I considered giving 3 stars for this review based on the service. (We actually thought the server had quit - it was ridiculous - the place wasn't crowded at all.). But, the other servers in the area were working really hard and one did come over quickly to help out, so I'm going to hope for the best. I do want to send a message in this review to the restaurant that this did leave a bad feeling. I doubt we'll be back. Too bad.
