6 stars!!! I stopped in a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon while on a weekend birthday trip at Rocky Gap Resort with my gf and I am so glad we did. I've been to a lot of amazing breweries over the years in a multitude of states and this one is now one of my favorites and in my top 10. The brewery is located in what looks to be an old factory of some sort and I absolutely love when breweries preserve places like this instead of wasting building materials for new construction. The vibes and atmosphere are so much better when owners do this. Huge Props! We got there right after they opened so we were the first customers of the day. The bartender/server was super upbeat, smiling, happy, and fun to chat with. We chatted it up for a bit about various things and when she asked to see my ID she saw that my birthday was tomorrow and wished me a Happy Birthday and we talked about how great Aries men are ;) Ha! Thank you for wishing me a Happy Birthday :) She was fantastic. We ordered: ANNIVERSARY IPA (5/5) INTERWOVEN: CHERRY BARREL AGED SOUR (5/5) The beers had excellent notes and we enjoyed drinking them. So as we were enjoying our beers and playing cards a couple more patrons entered the brewery and by this time I was like let's get something to eat while we enjoy our beers. So we decided on the chips and guacamole. My girlfriend walked up to the kitchen to place the order and not long after that they brought out our chips and guacamole but something else too which I thought at first wasn't ours but my girlfriend lol and said I saw that hot dog on the menu and knew you'd love it so I ordered it for us to share. Love her :) Okay... let's talk about that freaking hot dog. Top 3 best hot dog I've ever ate. I was kinda amazed at how delicious it was tbh. I couldn't believe how many flavors were popping in my mouth every time I took a bite. My girlfriend said the same thing. We loved it. I literally went to the kitchen and told them that it was one of the best hot dogs I've ever had in my life. I think that made them happy. The chips and guacamole were great too and the guac was definitely made in house. Dirty Dawg: all beef hot dog, sautéed onions, pickled jalapeños, grilled cheddar, spicy brown mustard (6/5) Chips and Guacamole (5/5) This is a wonderful brewery and I look forward to coming back the next time I am in the area to chat it up with the server again and enjoy the excellent beers and food they have to offer. Fifty percent of the house brews offered were hop centered ales. Now they only had four offerings brewed on site, but that got my attention. They are not brewing for the masses, they clearly are catering to beer lovers. The building is so cool. It was once a sock factory known for producing a seamless sock. Go, and order an ale, trust me.

Cool spot to grab a drink with small but delicious menu. Bartenders were friendly which made the experience even better.

We tried everything on the menu (relax, we were on foot ) The beers were all spot-on. Really enjoyed them all, especially the Vienna. An extra bump for the bartenders who gracefully dealt with a local dirtbag who spent his time unsuccessfully flirting with them in front of his girlfriend.

Great atmosphere. Kind staff. Good food and very good beers. They also offer NA options, wines/ciders, a great selection of drinks and rotating local live entertainment. A great place to hangout with friends

    Great beer, solid smash burger!

Cool spot. Definitely great for kids with a decent kinda menu in addition to the delicious burger selection for the grown ups.

Very nice beer selection, beautiful my decorated (updated) warehouse taproom. The live music was wonderful, and they even offer food!

Plants and hip decor fills this family-friendly brewery!

Here are some of the reasons I love Cacapon Mountain Brewing! 1) Great brews (best in town) and great food -- menu has expanded since their opening (meat and cheese plates, various burgers including veggie, carnitas tacos with spicy salsa, and kid's quesadilla + chips). 2) VERY family and dog friendly. My kids and pup are always treated warmly. They will bring out a water bowl for your dog...and toddler...to splash in. 3) Inside is set up well in terms of seating and decor. Newish outdoor patio has plentiful seating and umbrellas! 4) Variety of board games available, and tasteful live music at times. 5) Employees seem happy, as do those who visit... Meet us at Cacapon Mountain Brewing! There's lots of parking, a chill vibe, indoor/outdoor options, and plenty of space. My family likes to go on a hike and stop in for dinner afterward.

Very good beer and food. The burger had great flavor along with the goat cheese and arugula! Great atmosphere overall went on a Thursday night at 5:30 and it was empty which was kinda nice for the rainy evening! Delicious food. Great beer

Stopped by after a hike for lunch and brews so I was pleasantly surprised that it was absolutely top notch. I gobbled my burger before a photo (LOL) but did manage to snap my Dewdropper (nice, fruity, light, kolsch)! The place is amazing. The staff is prompt, friendly, and fast. They have games galore to play, plenty of seating AND a stunning live-edge table inside. A must go!

    Tami M.

Jessica and the staff were awesome! The food was good. Ample seating, friendly layed back atmosphere. Beer was exceptional. Let me say it again... the beer was exceptional. Great stop, whether you are local, you're passing through, or staying a few days.

We came in to get drinks to go with our food (we got food from the food truck outside "Firebox"). The food from Firebox was good and it was a generous portion for the price. The drink options that were not beer were limited, and half of those options on the menu weren't available. My partner got the berry chocolate stout and said it was "pretty good". We hoped to sit outside, but the only available table had broken glass all over it from a busted door. It does have convenient parking and I liked the industrial decor. The service was good and the lady was very nice. One thing I will point out is that one of our glasses had pink lipstick on it from a previous customer. But if you only want beer and a place to chill - it might be just right for you.

I also appreciate the ample outdoor seating available. Always a big plus for me, even if the outdoor area is really just tables set up on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot - as it is in this case. The service was fine. It wasn't crazy busy there but the bartender had a little edge to her like we were more on an annoyance than a patron. They have a refill club where you can buy a mug and get your name printed on it with discounted refills. Again I appreciate that kind of thing, but the bartender seemed way more interested in some of the regulars than us. Just the vibe she gave off that night I guess. And lastly the beer...it's solid. Not great, but solid. Lots of darker beers which is fine for me personally, but the darks outnumbered the IPAs, pilsners, etc the night we were there. I'd expect a little more variety. Still, it's good enough that I'd go back next time I'm in Cumberland, but not so good that I'd make a special trip out of my way. My scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive up to 30 minutes just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

I've been here a few times before. My wife and I fell in love with this place the first time we were here. The owner is personable, friendly and enjoys his work. You can tell by the way he carries himself. And his wife is right next to him. With her own smile. All that said, the real reason for coming is the beer. This place has much to offer. On the menu are a Belgian white, a seasonal lager, Kolach, Hefeweizen, Irish red, stouts, IPAs, and a porter. I ask you to find that much of a choice in any other brewery and walk out angry. It cannot be done. For today I had tastes of the pumpkin, harvest ale and lager, before settling on the lager. TBH we came for the Hefeweizen but they just ran out. If you are looking for a brewery stop in please, and leave me a response.

When me and my girlfriend take road trips or mini vacations we try to hit up every brewery in that area and/or surrounding areas. On a recent birthday trip to Rocky Gap Resort that my sweet and beautiful girlfriend arranged for us we stopped in here during the early evening last week. As we pulled up I liked the whole aesthetics of this place. So we walked in and the place was pretty busy for an early Sunday evening but I believe it was because of the musicians that were scheduled to play. I noticed a lot of cool metal art which I later found out the owner created. That's awesome! We immediately walked up to the bar and ordered a couple of beers. - Shanty Irish Red Ale for my gf 4/5 - Iron Bird Hazy IPA for me 5/5 As we were enjoying our beers the people next to us received a food order and I looked at my girlfriend and said that pizza looks good. She replied, You want me to get us one? I giggled because she is a foodie like me lol. So we looked over the menu and decided on a 10" cheese pizza with mushrooms & jalapeños and a small order of chicken bites with honey mustard. So after about 10 minutes our buzzer went off and my gf walked up to get our food. We really enjoyed every bit of the pizza and chicken bites. Thank you! - Pizza 4/5 - Chicken Bites 4/5 While we were eating our food there were two people who started playing music and this is why this place gets 4 not 5 stars. Not because the musicians weren't good but because a place this size should never have people playing music so loud that you can't even have a normal conversation without saying huh or yelling. One of the two owners came over and asked if I'd like another beer and I could barely hear her and then the other owner came over and introduced himself to us and talked to us for about 5 minutes or so about the brewery, business, art, etc. and we could barely hear him and some things he said we couldn't make out, which sucks because I would have loved to chat with him without a loud distraction. Seemed like a very interesting and knowledgeable man. Next time my guy. Listen, I'm a huge brewery person and this brewery has great vibes and everything you could want to enjoy while visiting one but having musicians with amps blasting inside no longer makes it what makes breweries great and then turns into a bar. The whole reason of going to a brewery is to enjoy good beer, good food, and good conversation and that's impossible with music blasting. You can either be a bar or a brewery but you can't be both. Light music or acoustic would be much better in my opinion and my opinion should matter because I've been to hundreds of breweries across the United States. Either way the beer was good and the food was too. We will be back soon. Thanks for creating a nice and welcoming space. Sláinte

First, the beer. I have had much better, though the double bock and the Doc Brown Ale were the best with the double bock being a little too sweet. At 7 bucks a pint, it is the average price. This place won't attract me for beer alone. The menu is rather simple in terms of selections which should offer an opportunity to excel with food, thus keeping people returning. I found what I tried to be rather bland and typical of brewpubs. Smashburger. Bland, though I suspect the tomato jam and roasted garlic mayo were supposed to give the flavor depth. I wish I could have tasted these separately to fully analyze. At 16.26, I can find better. I tried the blue cheese salad dressing and was disappointed. It was like eating sour cream with a hint of blue cheese. This is so easy to make and taste good. The hand beer battered cod was also bland. Just not impressed. The fresh cut fries are typical of fresh fries. Not great. If you're willing to put time in it, you can make great fries. Overall, the menu selections could be better. I would think a nice steak salad or something like that may do well. The steak pinsa is the closest, I guess, but would be better with a salad. The service was mediocre even though our server was friendly. When you emphasize beer, tis best to visit often to see if the customer would like another. Don't wait until the meal is nearly finished. Will I be back? I want to try a few other dishes to get a more complete idea of this place, but I can see this place fading away like the others that come and go.

To my luck and delight, there was live music blaring upon entry. We were sat near the bathrooms and kitchen and put in our drink order. I want to mention they were kind of busy but not swamped, and it took a lot of time in between seating to greeting to drink delivery to ordering to food to dessert to check. In fact, I didn't see much of our waitress out and about at all - blonde with a lot of energy. She was nice but very spotty in checking on us. We ordered the pretzels and cheese for an appetizer to start. They were ok. For my meal I got the pit beef sandwich which came with a horseradish sauce. The time between the ordering to appetizer to meal was LONG. The manager or owner who brought out the meals realized I was getting pissed and tried to smooth things over. Problem was the sandwich was very dry. Pit beef should have some juiciness to it, but honestly it was really dry. The horseradish sauce was nice but had evaporated into the bun - probably from sitting back in the window for 15 minutes without coming out. The best part of the meal was the dessert which was a French dish I can't remember but is pictured. Cold dessert covered in icing and layered inside. It was very good and light Overall it was ok. I'd like to try again but man the waiting for food when it's not very busy thing is a big pet peeve of mine.
