I asked to not get another since our children had eaten their food already and they enjoyed it! Thank you once again to the kitchen!! The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was as quaint as you would expect!! The tuna was cooked PERFECT! Thank you to the kitchen staff!!! I asked for the check and paid it ....(despite the fact that the waiter disappeared for over 15 mins and I had to walk to the bar to ask for it!!) Left a tip and then proceeded to leave the restaurant and head to our car since both kids hadn't slept and it was past 8 pm (when I overheard the following...) Once again the server was kind and charismatic despite ignoring us in an empty restaurant where she had 3 tables when we arrived and two when we left. As we were walking out of the restaurant, the server, had the stones to show my signed check, with a 10% tip, as was warranted after ignoring us, serving me raw food and not coming back for along time.... (Sorry kitchen but the raw burger was on you for this one!) And she, had the gall to brag to another table of patrons, showing the receipt in my wife's face, that were taking away from her money, when she provided poor service!! I wouldn't dream of having her fired, hence the reason I'll never name her. " she might have had a bad day!", BUT I want her to learn a lesson about treating every customer with respect! My wife and kids didn't deserve a poor experience for our first time in your restaurant! Be kind. Be loving and understanding! Everyone can have hardships in life, as we all do, but if you're in this industry, be kind, be watchful and give a care about your job!! You never know the negative impact you can leave for fellow strangers, especially little children that enjoyed Harper's Ferry for the first time!
