Manna Pottery - Skeleton Mug, Puppy Dog Figurine and Hand Crafted mug turned coconut bowl - Art Classes Near Me - Potomac Falls, Virginia

I went to this place for my birthday in April and we walked in without a reservation. They sat us down within minutes. We stayed for 2-3 hours decorating our dishes of choice. The customer service was spectacular by the owner and the people who worked there. They were all so kind and willing to help with every question we had. I made the cutest mug and it took about 2-3 weeks for pickup. I liked this place so much that I am coming back at the end of July with a few people from my book club. There was also so many items to pick from and you could also create your own pottery as well, they had classes for that. Definitely check them out via their social media or website and the prices weren't expensive. They also had classes for children and have a lot of options for groups. read more

Very cute spot for a date! My boyfriend and I went and got matching mugs to paint. It was a very peaceful place. Seating was rather limited, so I would go early or reserve a spot (which I believe you can do). There is a variety of colors to choose from and have samples to know how the paint will look when fired. Some people have already mentioned it, but I highly recommend doing multiple layers. Our mugs ended up streaky in some spots. The paint dries fairly quickly, so it wasn't too bad applying layers. There were a lot of pottery pieces to choose from. I wish there were more like basic pieces though to have a more blank canvas. The prices were reasonable for each piece! The prices were written on the bottom. The firing process took about a week. My boyfriend and I have been using our mugs almost every day and they have held up well! Paint on mine did chip on the side, but my boyfriend's mug has been completely fine. read more

For a friends birthday we did the one day try it pottery class and got to throw on the wheel. It was a wonderful time with amazing teachers-Rezgar and Emily. It was a restorative experience to just sit at the wheel and get to try your hand at a new art form. Unforgettable time with great people and now we are all hooked! We drove an hour from Maryland and would do it again. And we came away with some awesome creations read more

Took a one-day pottery class with Rez and absolutely loved it. He's not just the owner but also an amazing artist, and such a patient, thoughtful teacher. The class was 2.5 hours long, which is plenty of time to make 2 to 3 pieces. Rez guided us through each step with clear instructions and help when we needed it. The whole experience felt really calming and grounding, like a little reset for the soul. I had such a good time and can't wait to go back to paint my pieces. If you're looking for something slow, creative, and meaningful, this class is such a gem. read more

This is my second time going to Manna Pottery. Not only is the environment, the staff, the owner, and items we can paint awesome, but the overall customer service is absolutely delightful. I sat in the shop for about two hours painting my Koi fish (as shown below). My wife motivated me to do a big piece. I'm happy I did. It's sitting nicely on my shelf for people to look at when they come in. I'll tell them I bought it off Pottery Barn to get their reactions. I highly recommend couples, families, singles or group events to visit and let your imagination flow! You won't regret it. If this is all new to you, ask the owner or the knowledgeable staff for advice and tips. I look forward to my next visit. I hope the owner has something bigger for me to paint. I hope this review helps the business grow. Thank you! read more

My friends and I signed up for a one day pottery workshop and it couldn't have been a better experience!! The three of us joined three others on a Saturday morning for a class using the pottery wheel. Rezgar Mamandi was our teacher- he was patient, kind and I learned so much! He has a wonderful rhythm to his teaching that allows all to find success - he demonstrates each step while thoroughly explaining, gives you time to try it while supervising and supporting, then allowing all to try and answering any and all question. out pieces were fired and we came back a few weeks later to paint our pieces. I picked them up today and I just feel so proud of the three pieces I made...and I can't wait to take more classes! read more

hosted a party at manna pottery, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff were all so pleasant, welcoming, and incredibly helpful -- they made sure everyone in our group felt comfortable and had everything they needed. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and our whole party had such a great time getting creative and making memories together. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a unique and enjoyable group activity. We'll definitely be back! read more

My family had such a great experience taking the 1-day pottery wheel class with Rezgar. He is a terrific teacher and immediately shared some very helpful techniques that helped us get off to a good start. By the end of the class, we had each produced 2-3 recognizable pieces! The studio itself is a beautiful, warm, welcoming space. We look forward to returning soon for other projects. I highly recommend this studio to anyone interested in learning to create pottery. read more

Put wifey in her happy spot to paint pottery. She even went back a few weeks later to take some of the classes and paint more pottery. She's going to learn how to work the mud on the pottery wheel. It may cost a fortune, but at least she's (finally) getting out of the house. read more

The cutest little shop to paint and throw pottery. Upon entry we were greeted by the studio owner who is very friendly and welcoming. There was nobody else in the studio at the time so he let us connect to the speakers and play our own music. Needless to say we felt very at home. There is no time limit to complete your pieces so we f'd around and stayed for about 2 1/2 hours We had a great time. The studio is laid out well so it feels very spacious. They have lots of brushes and a wide variety of paint colors. They also have a lots of different pre-made pottery pieces to pick from. We went simple and painted some mugs that we now use every day. If you can't tell (i'm sure you can tell but jic) one of the mugs is inspired by a watermelon, the other a canteloupe. already looking forward to going back PS a few days a week, they have live music! The guitarist who came was very talented. read more

I took my whole family there, which ranges from toddlers to teenagers...and we all had fun. Very peaceful atmosphere and the supplies for painting the pottery were excellent. My untalented bunch was able to create some attractive pieces that look great. The more coats of paint you add the better it looks when it is glazed and finished. My kids seemed to understand this...and their stuff looks much better than mine. read more

We had an amazing experience with the incredible instructor, Rezgar. His passion for his art shines through in every moment. He is not only highly talented but also incredibly patient with his students. Rezgar has a unique ability to make you connect with the pieces you're working on, helping you feel, sense, and love them as if they have a life of their own. These classes are perfect for families couples, and kids. Highly recommended read more

We had so much creating and painting our pottery!!! Friendly and helpful staff! We will be back

So fun! A great rainy day activity. I had a great time painting with my daughters here

My family and I came here for my birthday, and we had the BEST time. Rezgar is the owner, and he is very kind. The shop is very clean and organized. Kahlil was one of the employees and he gave us the rundown on how everything worked. He answered any questions we had, was very attentive, and constantly changed out our paint water. The studio is only $12! What a great price! That covers the time you are there, paints, and I assume the firing and glazing they do for your final pieces. All the items available to paint range between $3 to about $115, and they have a wide variety of options to choose from! Salt and pepper shakers, plates, cups, mugs, holiday ornaments, and so much more. I highly recommend this place. It's where I plan on getting most birthday and Christmas presents from now on - cute, personalized, and functional! read more

I've been to Manna Pottery a few times. And, let me tell you, it's always amazing. We have such a wonderful and peaceful time. Rezgar, is beyond kind and knowledgeable. What a fun place! We went to celebrate an adult birthday. None of us are artists, but we had a great choice of items to select from that we could paint. the paint colors are broad, and the owner gave us a quick overview of how to get the most vivid colors. We spent two very fun and fast hours painting our different items. When they were glazed, we were so excited and happy with the outcome. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any age. Good for parties or just something to do. Check it out! read more

We had a great time painting our pieces! The staff was very helpful in providing ideas for designs and colors. The only thing I would suggest is to provide a clearer explanation on the process for 1st time painters. Other than that, it was a blast! read more

From the moment you are enter this business, you feel inspired and welcomed! The owner is so kindhearted and is a very patient and encouraging presence. We walked in last minute for a spontaneous afternoon and not only was he very accommodating and helpful, but we could hear him encouraging and engaging with other patrons about their art. He is a very passionate individual who has very beautiful pottery on display. There are many classes being offered and the prices are reasonable enough to where you feel good about supporting local art. Also, great selection of glazes and items to paint! Wonderful space for private parties as well. read more
