This place just opened and is currently my all time favorite art gallery in Virginia. They have really limited hours and never seem to be open which is frustrating and has caused us to miss some exhibits. They have classes and a lot going on. The art is fantastic. My wife is an artist and knows what she's looking at. She has been raving about the exhibits this summer (2009) and has been inspired to new levels in her own work by what she has seen there. There was a show there this summer that was probably some of the best art I've ever seen in Northern Virginia. We went to two concerts and enjoyed both. One was a classical quartet and the other was a concert and an art talk combined. I hope they stay in business and will expand their hours. Oh ... check out the website. This is a great little gallery and studio, featuring shows by local artists. Minimalist, streamlined space in order to showcase the art better. Classes are also offered in the adjoining studios. Pops is currently showing here along with his fellow artists from Building 10 at the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, so husband, Moms and I went to the wine and cheese reception they held to kick off the show. Curators and employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and the caliber of artist is exceptional (no bias here, really). All the pieces on show are for sale, and the gallery also has a little gift area selling smaller pieces like stationery, jewelry, and pottery. Husband and I picked up a miniature ceramic vase for a steal. ArtSpace is a bit isolated and remotely located near "Old Town" Herndon, but it's worth seeking out. read more

We went here today and were delighted to see the watercolor and some oil works by two Loudoun county artists (Catherine Hills and Jill Poyerd). It's a large airy room and showed about 40 (?) paintings, about twenty from each with subjects ranging from children, landscapes, plants and some a little more complicated. Although it was a little hard to find, there was adequate parking and a selection of restaurants nearby in old Herndon center where you could have lunch if you wanted. read more

I've been here a few times to see galleries and it's a lovely little studio. The opening of a new gallery is a free event and they serve appetizers and wine. Each month this gallery has at least 1 event going on along with various art classes. If you're looking for the art scene in herndon this is a good place to look and network with other artists and enthusiasts. read more

I had a terrific time at a Design and Wine mosaic tile workshop at ArtSpace Herndon. Met some very nice people, and picked up a new skill. The staff was terrific. They have a newsletter if you'd like to sign up to be informed on their upcoming events. read more

ArtSpace in Herndon, VA is a thriving art gallery and place for artists to meet and learn. Their staff are superlative.

I always go for the concerts and I am never disappointed. First of all, where can you find these class A jazz, blues and classical acts around the DC area and pay $15-20.00 with free snacks? They always offer great wines and craft beers and just ask for a donation. This is a great place to hear some fierce talent!!! WooHoo! As good as it gets! read more

Ditto to the other reviewer. About half of the exhibits have been great. Not all are as good as others but they have other things going on too. I took a class and regularly go to the artist opening nights. They've been having these intimate concerts with talented musicians lately. read more
