Huge fan of German beers... especially pilsners. I was really looking forward to our stay at the Bavarian Inn, visiting the new brewpub and trying an authentic German Pilsner. They were out. The German brewpub at the German Inn was out of the German Pilsner... and they didn't know when it would be back. Fine- even though we're not fans of Ales, we tried the Session Ale. We asked if we could drink out by the firepit. Nope... we were told it was too cold and the firepit was closed. Even though they have a picture on their website with people bundled in blankets drinking by and being served at a lit firepit during a snowstorm, it was too cold. Ok then.

This place was certainly interesting to find. It looked like a little German village. However, there were cars everywhere because there was a wedding. We saw a sign that said "Rathskeller" with an arrow pointing down the stairs. I wasn't sure if it was the right place.. then it happened to be a cozy, festive German themed bar. I soon learned that that is what a Rathskeller is. Going to Bavarian Bros. really made me want to go to Germany. The beer was great, especially the Raspberry wheat. Then the crab pretzel that we had was one of the best appetizers, I've eaten. The remoulade that came with it complimented it perfectly as well. The staff was solid and had festive German outfits on as well. I'd love to come back here to stay at the hotel during any season.

Great beer and cocktail menu with delicious food! Not as much of a traditional brewery atmosphere but the food was very good. Definitely recommend getting the crab pretzel!

"Good beer, great atmosphere, but horrible and overpriced food."…read more Me and my bestie aka my girlfriend love to travel and we often will stay in a cool town that has several breweries all around it and this place happens to be one that we stopped in while having a mini getaway together. I've been to Brunswick several times in my life and I've always loved the town so I was excited to see someone put a brewery in since the last time I had been there. We stopped in on an early Saturday evening and it was pretty busy because they had live music which was good. We walked right up to the counter and I ordered: - ROYGBIV Power Sour 5/5 - Bar Room Hero Hazy IPA 5/5 We then proceeded to grab a table outside and enjoy our beers while listening to the music and watching all the people enjoy themselves too while we laughed and had good conversation. We hadn't ate much all day so we decided to get something light to eat. My girlfriend walked up to the counter and ordered us a hot dog and Brie with Jam and Pita. The hot dog was decent but the Brie and chips were disgusting to say the least. The price for the Brie was even more disgusting than it tasted for a very small wheel of store bought stale tasting cheese and even staler chips, yikes! I love the building, its history, the whole layout, and vibes of this brewery, but I'd never order food from here again. EVER! Will I come back to have more beers the next time I am in the area, probably but I won't go out of my way, that's for sure.

Fast forward to now and things are much better running. Beer wise there are options for everyone. I'm a big fan of the following: 1. Gandy Oatmeal Stout 6.1% ABV. Strong but not overpowering coffee and chocolate aromas and flavors. This is smooth and super tasty. 2. "Midnight Slug" Extra Special Bitter 5.8% ABV. An old school style not found much anymore. Nice malty flavor up front and bitter on the finish. 3. Maryland Rye Maryland Rye IPA 6.7% ABV. Spicy black pepper notes from the rye make this IPA special. Vibe: blue collar town bar like. They have food that looked and smelled good but we just had lunch and focused on the beer only. Service was great.

What a great place to come back to. We came on a Sunday, there was one tv with a game on, but no…read moreone cared. The music was playing and it was upbeat and talented. I've been here a few times before. My wife and I fell in love with this place the first time we were here. The owner is personable, friendly and enjoys his work. You can tell by the way he carries himself. And his wife is right next to him. With her own smile. All that said, the real reason for coming is the beer. This place has much to offer. On the menu are a Belgian white, a seasonal lager, Kolach, Hefeweizen, Irish red, stouts, IPAs, and a porter. I ask you to find that much of a choice in any other brewery and walk out angry. It cannot be done. For today I had tastes of the pumpkin, harvest ale and lager, before settling on the lager. TBH we came for the Hefeweizen but they just ran out. If you are looking for a brewery stop in please, and leave me a response.

"A cool brewery in a nice quaint area that is close to the interstate for fast and easy access to a…read moredelicious beer and surprisingly good food." When me and my girlfriend take road trips or mini vacations we try to hit up every brewery in that area and/or surrounding areas. On a recent birthday trip to Rocky Gap Resort that my sweet and beautiful girlfriend arranged for us we stopped in here during the early evening last week. As we pulled up I liked the whole aesthetics of this place. So we walked in and the place was pretty busy for an early Sunday evening but I believe it was because of the musicians that were scheduled to play. I noticed a lot of cool metal art which I later found out the owner created. That's awesome! We immediately walked up to the bar and ordered a couple of beers. - Shanty Irish Red Ale for my gf 4/5 - Iron Bird Hazy IPA for me 5/5 As we were enjoying our beers the people next to us received a food order and I looked at my girlfriend and said that pizza looks good. She replied, You want me to get us one? I giggled because she is a foodie like me lol. So we looked over the menu and decided on a 10" cheese pizza with mushrooms & jalapeños and a small order of chicken bites with honey mustard. So after about 10 minutes our buzzer went off and my gf walked up to get our food. We really enjoyed every bit of the pizza and chicken bites. Thank you! - Pizza 4/5 - Chicken Bites 4/5 While we were eating our food there were two people who started playing music and this is why this place gets 4 not 5 stars. Not because the musicians weren't good but because a place this size should never have people playing music so loud that you can't even have a normal conversation without saying huh or yelling. One of the two owners came over and asked if I'd like another beer and I could barely hear her and then the other owner came over and introduced himself to us and talked to us for about 5 minutes or so about the brewery, business, art, etc. and we could barely hear him and some things he said we couldn't make out, which sucks because I would have loved to chat with him without a loud distraction. Seemed like a very interesting and knowledgeable man. Next time my guy. Listen, I'm a huge brewery person and this brewery has great vibes and everything you could want to enjoy while visiting one but having musicians with amps blasting inside no longer makes it what makes breweries great and then turns into a bar. The whole reason of going to a brewery is to enjoy good beer, good food, and good conversation and that's impossible with music blasting. You can either be a bar or a brewery but you can't be both. Light music or acoustic would be much better in my opinion and my opinion should matter because I've been to hundreds of breweries across the United States. Either way the beer was good and the food was too. We will be back soon. Thanks for creating a nice and welcoming space. Sláinte

Expectations were high, after my sister's go to craft brewery closed down and her husband took to Stone Silo immediately, signing up to be a club member. The building itself did have a stone silo on property that opened up to fields. There was a rustic, farm type feel walking in the front door. Welcomed by stone and dark colored woods, the facility was quite large and clean with ample seating. A glance outside there were fire pits and chairs to sit set, along with an 'adult only' section if you don't like your craft with a crying 2 year old. I sampled a few beer including the IPA, which was a bit underwhelming, but expected since the West Coast is known for quality IPAs. I settled on the Japanese rice lager, 'Nojo with Yuzu.' What a mistake! Not something I could get behind and I like yuzu too. Just too tart for a lager and not what I was looking for in my light beer selection. Second round I tried their Czech style dark lager, Clever Crow. Not sure what about this was supposed to be lager, it really felt more porter-ish to me, did not drink light and just not what I was looking for in a dark lager. The grounds and staff were great, it was a fun place to hang with family, but maybe I just made two poor beer decisions. Expected a bit more from the taps but would be willing to go back and give Stone Silo a second chance, as I know my bro-in-law will want to go back since it's close to the house
