And that's what makes it so great if you wanna get lots of meat and don't care for variety then this is your place for a really affordable and filling meal. You do have 90 minutes to interdine, but this was plenty of time for me and my partner. They also offer a choice of soup or Steamed egg to go with your meal. They also offer very simple banchan and a small thing of rice, which is great to cut the fattiness and complex flavors of the marinated meat. Pretty much all the meat is marinated, so you may get sick of the same flavors. This was our second visit (the first visit was during throes of Covid) and our first time opting for the all you can meat option ($29.99). We came early afternoon on a Saturday and there were still a few open tables. Despite some idiosyncrasies, we enjoyed our meal and will be back. The meat options include beef brisket (but was not available when we here), pork belly, bulgogi, chopped marinated beef steak, marinated boneless pork ribs, chopped marinated pork steak, spicy boneless pork ribs, marinated spicy chicken, marinated chicken and beef intestines. You can order two meats at a time. We tried the pork belly, bulgogi, beef steak and spicy chicken. My favorite was the pork belly (so we ordered a second round of that). We also especially enjoyed the beef steak. Curiously, the meal comes with only one bowl of soup, even if there is more than one person at the table. Scrambled/steamed egg comes in a separate bowl, for adding to the soup. The meal also comes with a bottomless banchan tray. I liked its light macaroni salad and the banchan vegetables were very good. Each person is also provided with a covered bowl of white rice. The award for best flavor of the day goes to the sesame sauce that you can drizzle over your meat, rice and vegetables. The restaurant staff cooks the meat for you, frequently coming over and stirring/turning over the meat in the grill on your table. They were pretty good about that, except for one time when they forgot about our meat cooking and the chicken was burned black. They did give us a replacement. True story - It was unfortunate that I didn't have the best experience here. I went here for dinner with my friend because she really likes the side dishes. It started off normal and we got seated and a waitress to serve our food. While ordering my friend misheard the waitress so she ordered a soup and we got something different. My friend grab another waiter (in a polite manner) to confirm and we realized that we ordered the wrong soup and just went with it. We didn't throw a fit or say anything because it was on us. However, the waitress who originally served us stopped by our table being worked up. We just said we ordered wrong and I think she didn't have reason to argue even though it looks like she's trying to. That waitress never came back to our table for the rest of dinner and other servers didn't really attend our table unless we asked them for more side dishes. It was such a ridiculous situation because we paid for the dinner (which was overpriced for the quality and not even that good compared to other Korean restaurants) and was respectful to all servers, and in return we got attitude? If you've never been here before, or not familiar with the area, you will miss this place because it's tucked behind a Mexican restaurant. It's not fancy by any means, but the meats are really good and so is the dip that is provided. It's sesame based for sure. It comes with 4 types of banchan and a delicious salad to share for all. There is the option to get soup and steamed egg. If you want more than one bowl each, it's extra $2.99 a serving. The soup has a little bit of a bite so be wary if you don't like spice. I love spice and thought it was just right. The servings of meat are quite plentiful. We got the pork belly, marinated steak, spicy boneless pork rib and beef brisket. That was enough for the 3 of us. They also cook the meat for you! That was kinda nice. They dont stand there the whole time, but they come back quite frequently, adjust the burner if necessary and let you know when meat is cooked. They are very efficient. We didn't need to wait for anything. Thay have another side menu with pancakes, rice cakes , mandu, and more, but that's extra cost. Not necessarily needed at kbbq, if you want the grilled meat. One of the better Korean barbecue spots in Annandale although the menu has 3 beef options. Not the most ideal when you don't eat pork but I did enjoy the bulgogi, wasn't the biggest fan of the steak or beef brisket. I will say the special sauce they have is incredible and absolutely delicious! One of the best I've had in KBBQ They charge you for extra eggs (2.99 for each) which I thought was strange since my other spot just gives you unlimited of that. This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant -- and I've been here over 10 times. Let's start with the bill: automatic gratuity has always been for parties of 6 or more. Since when did you start forcing it on parties of 4? Forcing customers to pay extra without transparency is dishonest and unacceptable. Now the food and service: I know exactly how your green salad and bean sprouts should taste because I eat them every single time I visit. What I was served tonight was spoiled -- it smelled rotten and tasted bad. When I asked politely for a new plate, the server glared at me and snapped, "WHAT'S UP WITH IT?" Then challenged me with, "HOW? We just made a new batch." Excuse me? A paying customer should never be interrogated or disrespected like that. If the food was fine, why would I bother to ask for a replacement? Instead of apologizing, he brought another plate that was just as bad, shrugged his shoulders, smirked, and walked away. No apology. No respect. Nothing but arrogance and rudeness. This is beyond careless -- it's insulting. Food that tastes spoiled is a health risk, and a server who laughs at customers and dismisses their concerns has no business working in this industry. They had all the cuts of meat that matter to me (i.e. brisket, pork belly, and some type of steak) and the highlight of the meal was definitely the side dishes; they were amazing. Delicious authentic AYCE food for $30/person. Beef brisket was the best. Pork belly and chopped marinated beef steak weren't bad but not as good as brisket. The accompanying sweet/savory sesame sauce was *soooo* good. I think it might have honey and lime, too. The salad and banchan were great; I was particularly impressed with the salad! Who knew salad at a Korean BBQ place could be so delicious? The salad dressing tasted of sesame, lime, vinegar, and honey(? It was slightly sweet). Saturday, March 15 @ 8:00pm, we walked in and wrote down my name for 3 people on the waiting list, there were 2 names ahead of me. A party of 5 and a party of 3. I stood infront of the counter and waited patiently. A few minutes later, a party of 3 walked in, the host who was standing behind the counter knew the person and did a fist bump, the man asked if there was a table for them, the host asked for how many, the man said for 3, without even telling them to sign in he had them seated right away. I asked the host whats the use of the waiting list if you were just going to seat people you know right away? He said that group was on the list, told the him that's not true because if he was here before, you would not have asked how many were in his party. The host could not say anything for he knew he messed up. No apologies whatsoever. I dont mind waiting, I have waited for 45 minutes for a table in other places. But it was done correctly, no playing favorites for people you know. It was not our first visit here, the food is always great and thats why we always eat here, but that might change after this, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure if he owns the place or not, but if he does, then he is setting a poor example and it reflects badly on the restaurant's integrity. If he doesn't own the place, then management should be aware that favoritism like this can drive loyal customers away. I understand that regulars and friends might get special treatment sometimes, but when there's a clear system in place, it should be followed fairly. The whole point of a waitlist is to keep things organized and ensure that everyone is treated with respect. This experience was really disappointing, especially since we've always enjoyed the food here. !!!UNBELIVABLTERRIBLE!!! We a group of 5 people go to this place all the time since the restaurant still used the stone grill and not even renovated yet cuz we love the food and the service there. Today we also want go there to enjoy our dinner after work like we always do once in a while. The experience we got today was unbelievable terrible! Like extremely disappointed and disgusted from the service we got from a male server with glasses. Everything was a rush and everything we order to grilled is burnt! Like freaking burnt that it's not appetizing at all. Like the time we go into the restaurant was 10:40pm and we know it close at midnight plus we know the last call from the kitchen was 11:20pm which we were fine cuz we been there before during this time, like we even went there at 11pm a couple times but never got treated like this by any server in the restaurant. It was not even busy only 3 tables left in the restaurant and he wasn't even serving or grilling for those table beside us. He still chose to turn the grill on high puts in the meat and walked away doing who knows what and not even on the floor where the freaking grill was shooting fire until the nice little guy that was cleaning came in to turn it off for us. That's the 1st mistake, and then more mistakes keeps coming. He then still chose to do the same thing but turning the grill on super high this time, we saw that so we were trying to cook the meat ourselves to make sure it's not burnt so we can have some meat that's more eatable, but we can see the grill is burnt and black and we understand that it's from the burnt sauce from the marinated meat but it should not burnt like burnt charcoal meat that we can't even eat. When I told him that we can't eat it because it too burnt and bitter especially after he stirred the meat around the burnt grill pan even more that it even catches all those burnt dust, he said it's normal because the meat was marinated, I said it's not cuz we been there since before he worked there, we eat those marinated meat before, but never burnt like charcoal burnt taste like this and it's not eatable, he still argue and said it's normal and nodded and walked away without apologizing or even trying to do anything that would help the situation. He then start another meat with a new grill pan and walked away again! He didn't even asked how we're doing or see if we were able to enjoy our meal that we paid full price for plus the auto grats that wasn't even worth it for his service. He just walked up and put down the check and rush us out saying they close at 11:45 when we still grilling the last meat that was the only meat portion that eatable and not burnt cuz we grilled it ourselves. So we put down our chopsticks and pay the freaking bill, left a note about the service and walked out very disappointed, disgusted and upset with the service provided especially we can see the owner/manager standing there minding nothing about the poor service his server did. I know when it's late people tends to want to go home, but you don't freaking work in restaurants that closes at midnight and rush customers that came in the door to enjoy the meal like this. Was finally able to go here after planning for it for a long time, only to be treated badly by an arrogant manager who could not even let us know if we had to wait or what the wait time even was after asking him multiple times. He just pointed towards a sheet that had the names of the waiting list telling us to fill in the form. When we did and waited for a while, he finally got off the phone and took us to our table. Then came the waiter who brought and cooked the meat for us carefully. When the waiter was busy, the manager kept stepping in to cook the meat and ended up either buring or serving us raw pork. The restaurant also has a fine of $20 for every plate of leftover meat, this forced us to eat the burnt pork belly pieces or the uncooked parts of the pork ribs. The only time the manager even made eye-contact or smiled at us was when we were leaving to pay our bill. Food: The food was decent in taste and was on par with other KBBQ places I tried around NoVA but I would still not recommend given the price and the options you have. You are only provided with one sauce and some bonchon without an option to order additional ones. Ambience: The place was small but was decent. Some love the intestines, while I found them strange and rubbery. There's a whole bunch of choices, and the price is right for this type of quality! I ate too much but that's the joy of a buffet. Overall I came here with a few friends who are regulars here. I didn't have an amazing experience but the service was great. First of all, this is an all you can eat Korean bbq place (~$38pp after tax and tip). There's a list of meats you can choose from that's included, and you get steamed egg, soup, salad, and banchan (side dishes including fermented vegetables and a pasta salad). We made a reservation for 7 and got sat in the back/private area on the left side of the restaurant. On this side, they grill your meats in portable grills on the side (not at your table). I think the pork belly specifically was coming from the kitchen. Brisket was good, this is mostly what we stuck with. Bulgogi was good if you like marinated meat. Pork belly was not good, it was always overcooked and I'm pretty sure the quality of meat was not good. Pork chop was better than pork belly, but also just okay. Salad - as one friend described it was "the most unhealthy salad I've ever had" but also on the other hand it's the "reason why [my other friend] likes vegetables" now so do with that what you will The service however was great. While the wait between meats took a while, we realized we just had to order the next round as soon as they hand us one round of meat, and it would come pretty quickly. I've never gone in a bigger group of 6 but you do have to walk in and potentially wait for your whole party to arrive. They have a Homestyle feel, great options, delicious meat - the marinated beef is my absolute favourite!
