Great service! I started elsewhere - post office etc., and remembered I could send packages internationally from here. I got in before a short line of three waited behind me and was all done in short order. Passport docs ( a lot of them for Europe; mailing envelopes; etc. all taken care of expeditiously. Even my request for a large, stiff envelope was met with great patience and a smile. The man behind the counter remained pleasant, attentive and smiling throughout this ordeal of multiple docs to mail internationally. He advised me too on the least expensive method ( but a tracked mailing method) too. I'll def go here vs elsewhere next time. A very calming and professional experience when it had far less so at UPS and the post office. read more

For all your mail, shipping, employee verification needs, Mail Boxes Plus is your place. I think it's one of the only places in the area that does I-9 verification. There is street parking nearby so the location is very convenient, but also some parking behind. Service is always friendly and efficient. I ended up coming early for my appointment, but they were accommodating and I still ended up finishing all my verification within 15-20 min (after needing to wait 10 min since someone else had an appointment, and waiting in a line). The ipostal one service here always overcharges me 2x the price to ship mail. I paid $3.50 to 2 day ship a piece of paper from there to my house. Now i look and im charged $5.43. Needed to get a LiveScan fingerprinting for my new job. This place is efficient, knowledgeable, polite and affordable ($45 total, incl gov't fees). The guy knew what he was doing, helped me get the best fingerprints on the scanner, and my results were turned around by CA state that same day (which I know isn't under Mailbox Plus' control but I really appreciate that I didn't need to worry about someone not knowing what they were doing when fingerprinting me.) We are able to do "virtually" everything we can do in a physical environment. Reading and executing mail and packages all online. They are US Postal Service authorized to accept any package that one can accept at home, deposit checks, ship packages, notary services. When a package come in. you have the option of picking up, or like us living overseas, have the mail scanned for viewing online and then deciding what to do with it: Now you can have a mailbox anywhere in the world to accomplish your personal or business needs. We chose Mail Boxes Plus Berkeley because it is close to our original residence and resources, meaning that when we come back to the SF bay area we know our way around. Made an appointment here for an FBI channeler live scan, a contracted service this location provides. The place is small, its main focus being the rental of personal mailboxes, and some other specialty services like this one. It's located on a small street across form the Claremont Hotel, easy to locate in spite of scaffolding from building renovation, and parking was easy. The gentleman who helped me was polite, efficient and safely masked and gloved. I was out in less than 5 minutes total time! Would recommend highly if you need live scan fingerprinting services. read more

I came here on a weekday afternoon to get I-9 verification for an employer. There is free parking behind the store and a convenient back entrance as well. Inside, there were 3 parties ahead of me but the line went quickly. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and handled the process efficiently! I rarely leave bad reviews for small businesses, but for the past two days I have scheduled fieldprint services at this location and each time the owners didn't bother showing up and opening the store. I understand things happen but it would have been great if they had the courtesy to inform their customers. While I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time, there were at least 10 other customers each time equally as confused and angered. I scheduled my days around these appointments and have nothing to show for it. Do better please! read more

Like that they're open until 630, easy to get in/out, notary available all days except Thursdays (call to check) for the standard notary price per signature fee (at time of review $15/signature). Yes you can go to your bank and they'll do it for free, that is, if you can get an appt. read more

I've run a number of businesses, and I have great respect for those who are good at it, especially those who can turn one around. Ownership of this place changed, maybe mid-2018 or so. The prior owner was a jerk (see all the older reviews for details), and I avoided this shop even though I live a block from it and walk past it daily. The new owners couldn't be more different. They're helpful, thoughtful, and go out of their way to serve their customers. They're open even on days the USPS is closed. It makes me happy to go there, and to be a customer. BTW, parking in the neighborhood can be tough sometimes (not always) but they have a lot in back of the store. read more

I am impressed with my delivery services from UPS. The UPS powers-to-be got it right this time. They have considered the time of the consumer receiving the package. I was in "Ahh" when I received a text telling me that I had received an unexpected delivery, and was at my front door. OMG! That was very considerate of them. Also, previously, I had a delivery that I could follow on my phone and was given an exact E.T.A. The delivery arrived 15 minutes before the E.T.A. stated to me. I wanted some privacy with my mail. I have had a mailbox with at Mail Boxes Plus for 1.5 years and just renewed for 3 more years. It is so nice having Sunil and Amit help me with my mail. My letters and magazines are always neatly tucked in my box and an email goes out to you each time a package arrives, so you know you can come by to pick it up. Wonderful service and two very nice guys. They also mail packages, are a public notary, and have shredding services etc. They will also have you in and out quickly, with personal service. read more

Wish I read the previous review before wasting a trip out there. Somewhat feel better my experience wasn't unique. I found the owner condescending, rude, and impatient. He was extremely unhelpful, and tried to get us to pre-pay for a service he couldn't guarantee. But one pro, I had called a few places looking for Notary services. He does notaries til 7pm, that's the latest I found in the area. (Called around in Oakland and Berkeley) Just don't go to him for anything else. read more

I have been a customer at MBP for nearly 12 years . It is a small family run business with Kuldeep at the helm. I have never had an issue here. I have witnessed crazed people rushing in and balking at a small upcharge for postage or shipping. This isn't the post office people. He has to add a small charge to cover his expenses too. He works very hard and everyone is treated with fairness. It might get busy at times, so, be patient! It is a great place to have a mail box as has inbound and outbound shipments from: USPS; UPS; FedEx; DHL; GSO. You can't have all that at the standard UPS franchise or USPS outlet. read more
