Reliable service with friendly staff. You can always count on Mail Boxes Plus. Strongly recommend!

These guys are absolutely fantastic. I've shipped so many things through them, never had a problem. They've always packed my things with great care. A couple of times when there was a tracking issue, they figured it out immediately. I've had a mailbox there as well. I can't recommend them highly enough. The four-star review must be due to lower ratings for the prior owner. read more

These guys are SO awesome, super fast, friendly, and helpful. We have shipped a ton of stuff with them and it's by far the best customer experience iv'e had at a place like this! read more

I showed up right before closing, and these people were kind and patient enough to still help me with the services that I required! I can't express enough how fantastic the service here is, private mailbox services are amazing here too! read more

Great service! I started elsewhere - post office etc., and remembered I could send packages internationally from here. I got in before a short line of three waited behind me and was all done in short order. Passport docs ( a lot of them for Europe; mailing envelopes; etc. all taken care of expeditiously. Even my request for a large, stiff envelope was met with great patience and a smile. The man behind the counter remained pleasant, attentive and smiling throughout this ordeal of multiple docs to mail internationally. He advised me too on the least expensive method ( but a tracked mailing method) too. I'll def go here vs elsewhere next time. A very calming and professional experience when it had far less so at UPS and the post office. read more

Very supportive team even after I pulled up very close to closing time! They supported an international parcel to Africa no problem.

Super nice people run this spot. I've come in to mail packages, take passport photos, ship things overnight, make some Copies. They are patient and helpful with calming personalities. read more

For all your mail, shipping, employee verification needs, Mail Boxes Plus is your place. I think it's one of the only places in the area that does I-9 verification. There is street parking nearby so the location is very convenient, but also some parking behind. Service is always friendly and efficient. I ended up coming early for my appointment, but they were accommodating and I still ended up finishing all my verification within 15-20 min (after needing to wait 10 min since someone else had an appointment, and waiting in a line). Definitely would come back for their services! read more

Needed to get a LiveScan fingerprinting for my new job. This place is efficient, knowledgeable, polite and affordable ($45 total, incl gov't fees). The guy knew what he was doing, helped me get the best fingerprints on the scanner, and my results were turned around by CA state that same day (which I know isn't under Mailbox Plus' control but I really appreciate that I didn't need to worry about someone not knowing what they were doing when fingerprinting me.) There's a small parking lot behind the store that was also very convenient. read more

This place is such a local gem! The man I worked with is quite possibly the kindest person I've ever met, so patient and so helpful - I went in with a project and a concept and no idea how to turn it into reality, and he knew exactly what I needed and turned it around in five minutes. This level of customer service and positive human interaction is so rare and precious nowadays, and I could not recommend this place more highly. Consider me a regular customer from here on! read more

The ipostal one service here always overcharges me 2x the price to ship mail. I paid $3.50 to 2 day ship a piece of paper from there to my house. Now i look and im charged $5.43. Makes me wonder how many other times this place has gotten over on me since ive shipped over 200 items from here is could be anywhere from 400-500 dollars read more

All I can say is: they are a great service with a small town feel. We are expats and needed a mail service that gave us complete flexibility of a physical address that we can access online!. We are able to do "virtually" everything we can do in a physical environment. Reading and executing mail and packages all online. They are US Postal Service authorized to accept any package that one can accept at home, deposit checks, ship packages, notary services. When a package come in. you have the option of picking up, or like us living overseas, have the mail scanned for viewing online and then deciding what to do with it: Now you can have a mailbox anywhere in the world to accomplish your personal or business needs. We chose Mail Boxes Plus Berkeley because it is close to our original residence and resources, meaning that when we come back to the SF bay area we know our way around. Great service, reasonably priced, good fun people and the location is next to some awesome shops including the Claremont Resort and Spa. read more

Made an appointment here for an FBI channeler live scan, a contracted service this location provides. The place is small, its main focus being the rental of personal mailboxes, and some other specialty services like this one. It's located on a small street across form the Claremont Hotel, easy to locate in spite of scaffolding from building renovation, and parking was easy. The gentleman who helped me was polite, efficient and safely masked and gloved. I was out in less than 5 minutes total time! Would recommend highly if you need live scan fingerprinting services. read more

These guys are great! They are very friendly and helpful. They are my go to place for shipping, printing and notary services. They were so understanding and accommodating to high risk customers during the surges. I'm so glad we have them in the neighborhood! read more

always a pleasure coming to this store! Amit and Sunil have always been helpful and courteous from when I started my mailbox with them back in 2020. they go above and beyond for their customers and their prices are very reasonable. They are lovely, kind and reliable. Always a pleasure to work with! Parking in back is easy.

I go there for mailings, notary and such. They are super nice and always do a great job packaging or taking care of what you need. This is the place to go!! read more

Always easy to deal with, always reliable. There is a ups store closer to my house but i go a few extra miles to go to your one

I came here on a weekday afternoon to get I-9 verification for an employer. There is free parking behind the store and a convenient back entrance as well. Inside, there were 3 parties ahead of me but the line went quickly. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and handled the process efficiently! I was in and out in less than 15 minutes as a walk-in and would definitely recommend this establishment for I-9 verification. read more

Great and quick for I-9 Verification. I've gone twice in two years now and it's always been a super smooth process

Shipping, b&w and color photocopiers, and notary services. They're super convenient and really nice.

Very helpful management saved the day when my daughter misjudged how much stuff she had to move out of her dorm at Cal and our car ran out of room. Mail Boxes Plus to the rescue!!!! We were not calm but they sure were - helping us pack up extra belongings to get them home safely. read more

I rarely leave bad reviews for small businesses, but for the past two days I have scheduled fieldprint services at this location and each time the owners didn't bother showing up and opening the store. I understand things happen but it would have been great if they had the courtesy to inform their customers. While I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time, there were at least 10 other customers each time equally as confused and angered. I scheduled my days around these appointments and have nothing to show for it. Do better please! read more

These guys are so helpful and friendly.. it's my go to location for UPS drop offs and amazon.com returns! Thank you for making my errands more pleasant... you are such a wonderful addition to the Berkeley Elmwood small businesses! read more

Came to mail boxes plus for notary services. Like that they're open until 630, easy to get in/out, notary available all days except Thursdays (call to check) for the standard notary price per signature fee (at time of review $15/signature). Yes you can go to your bank and they'll do it for free, that is, if you can get an appt. read more

They have always been tops in service...copying, mailing, packaging, faxes...a delightful one stop communication shop. And during the quarantine are keeping their customers safe and secure! Thank you Mail Boxes Plus!!! read more

Sunil and Amit have been wonderfully helpful for all sorts of requests. They have packed up fragile china (which arrived safely at its destination), they have sent presents/ documents and cards to Canada (where my sister lives), and they have copied/ scanned and sent reams of documents all over the US and Canada relating to my parents' estate. I will never be able to thank them enough. read more

I've run a number of businesses, and I have great respect for those who are good at it, especially those who can turn one around. Ownership of this place changed, maybe mid-2018 or so. The prior owner was a jerk (see all the older reviews for details), and I avoided this shop even though I live a block from it and walk past it daily. The new owners couldn't be more different. They're helpful, thoughtful, and go out of their way to serve their customers. They're open even on days the USPS is closed. It makes me happy to go there, and to be a customer. BTW, parking in the neighborhood can be tough sometimes (not always) but they have a lot in back of the store. read more

We've been using the different services offered by Mailbox Plus with great satisfaction: the owners are really friendly and professional, always trying to work with you to find the right solution for your needs. I recommend this business without hesitation. read more

I liked the old management just fine. The man was nice to me and always gave a gift to my young step-daughter when we would go in there to mail something. That said, I absolutely love the new management. I rent a box to receive packages and they are always so friendly and welcoming. They've been super-helpful with mailing things as well. Really wonderful people & I love the location since I patronize other business on the block often. read more

I use MBP for the mail box service, to receive packages, to send packages, and have also taken advantage of other services from time to time. The service here is excellent, the people are extremely friendly and helpful. They are reliable, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend them for mail and general office services. read more

Customer service with a smile & a "willingness to help at all times" perspective. I'm a frequent return-shipper to amazon and this wonderful business never winces when they see me coming with items to be shipped back. I also sometimes have packages sent here instead of my normal shipping address -- especially helpful when I'm going to be away for a few days and want the Pkg delivered to a secure location. I just call mailboxes plus ahead of time to let them know a Pkg is coming for me so they're ready for it & they call me to let me know it's arrived. Thanks for the superb service! read more

New owners! It's clean, well organized and friendly service. They're pretty quick with Notarized documents too. Old review: #### I have mostly used this business for notarized signatures and FedEx. Look, the man running this place takes his job and his responsibilities very seriously. I have never had a Notary take as much time to understand the documents that you are signing, and I have never had a Notary ask me to stand and take an oath before. I found this to be very charming, though it is not the fastest experience. Anyway, I think Kuldip is great... read more

I am impressed with my delivery services from UPS. The UPS powers-to-be got it right this time. They have considered the time of the consumer receiving the package. I was in "Ahh" when I received a text telling me that I had received an unexpected delivery, and was at my front door. OMG! That was very considerate of them. Also, previously, I had a delivery that I could follow on my phone and was given an exact E.T.A. The delivery arrived 15 minutes before the E.T.A. stated to me. WOW, I am very impressed with the UPS services. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Other delivery business should take note. James Kenneth Terry read more

Wish I read the previous review before wasting a trip out there. Somewhat feel better my experience wasn't unique. I found the owner condescending, rude, and impatient. He was extremely unhelpful, and tried to get us to pre-pay for a service he couldn't guarantee. But one pro, I had called a few places looking for Notary services. He does notaries til 7pm, that's the latest I found in the area. (Called around in Oakland and Berkeley) Just don't go to him for anything else. read more

They are so friendly and helpful. Always help me figure out how to return stuff. Helped me pack a box for Grandson in UK and made sure he got it on time! read more

I wanted some privacy with my mail. I have had a mailbox with at Mail Boxes Plus for 1.5 years and just renewed for 3 more years. It is so nice having Sunil and Amit help me with my mail. My letters and magazines are always neatly tucked in my box and an email goes out to you each time a package arrives, so you know you can come by to pick it up. Wonderful service and two very nice guys. They also mail packages, are a public notary, and have shredding services etc. They will also have you in and out quickly, with personal service. read more

These folks are friendly and customer oriented. The feel of the space has improved since the change in ownership.

Went for a notary + passport pics on my lunch break . Did not have time to wait for passport pics but got everything done with plenty of time to spare!! Was in and out in minutes. Super fast and genuine customer service. New owners are really friendly . Will def go back for any shipping I do - one stop shop for everything ! PS. Cherry on top. The prices for some of the services have also dropped since the last ownership. read more
