This is my neighborhood everything: notary, receiving PO Box and parcel service, and sending prepaid shipments via all carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx). I'm absolutely willing to wait here, because compared to Piedmont Systems, the official post office a few blocks down is a circus. I've even bought a few cute masks and greeting cards from local artists that Ann has displayed on the counter. Not only do I feel better supporting a local business, but I've felt more safe here during the pandemic despite the small space thanks to the responsible mask use here and the limits on customers waiting inside and outside. This will be my go-to notary from now on. I did only have one page....so not a big deal, but still... I called ahead and the notary (Ann?) let me know she'd be there until 5pm. I got there at 11am, parked right in front, and went right in (no other customers were there at the time). The whole transaction took maybe 8 minutes, start to finish...and mostly because I had to initial a bunch of pages after she did the notarization. The bonus is that it needed to go out fedex so I just handed her the sealed envelope and boom! Truly convenient (and all covid compliant with sanitizer and masks and rules of only 2 people inside etc). read more

Awesome mom & pop mailing/copying/faxing facility! Friendly, down to earth folks working there who give great advice on how to keep things as inexpensive as possible. Best reached on foot or a bike as parking is pay/display street and not great, but totally worth it to deal with that detail- it's really the best option by a long shot! The post office is horrid, ups is expensive, Kinkos blows, etc etc. Look, no one lives a mailing/copying/faxing chore, but you feel like someone's really on your side here! Be prepared for a couple of things: parking is hard, and the space is tight. When a lot of folks are there, it is a squeeze. Prices are more than fair. Nasty, nasty women, both! I was patiently waiting outside as requested. A man walked up & inquired about the wait time. Just then someone inside said they were telling me something. I stepped inside & they told me to wait which I said I was doing. The one with long, grey hair was rather brisk & nasty as she raised her voice at me. When I asked her why she was yelling, the other one got into the act. It was so bad the gentleman behind me said he was surprised by their outbursts, & he apologized to me about their behavior. I did not, nor will I ever, patronize this business. Who are they to treat to patient, calm customers that why?! The lady who usually works here never smiles at me when I come in...and was pretty rude today. I walked in first and she had me scoot over to give a lady her packages. I use this place for copying / shipping needs and have for almost 6 years. Ann is a great help and the other staff is also great. I feel that it is a place that is easy to make it "your place." Almost any time you may need help, I find that Piedmont Systems is able to provide suggestions or ease the process. Overall, Piedmont Systems is a wonderful locally owned business that, unlike my experience at other copy shops, is never stressful. Even during peak hours, it's often not too long of a wait and they have a LOT of boxes, tubes, paper, etc in stock. PS! PO Boxes are also priced at a very affordable rate. read more

Had a friend mail me a package and chose for it to come here. I was unfamiliar with this place so when I got the delivered notification, I called to ask "is this a place I can pick up packages? I had one delivered here". I was told no and that caused a whole fiasco with me filing a claim with Fedex which lead to me not coming to pick it up until the last day before they return my package to the sender. When I came in the owner, Anne, was rude and basically didn't care about the issues her company caused me. She's more concerned with her business not being confused for a UPS/Fedex drop off point (idk how that relates to me picking up a package I already had delivered though). I will not be coming back or advising anyone I know to use this place. read more

I have been going here for years - just did not get around to writing a review till today. Ann K who owns it has been doing for 34 years. I have been coming here for the last 16. There was one time, I forgot to bring cash and Ann helped me without charging me ! When I reminded her the next time, she just shrugged it off. WHOAH. Better prices on multiple signatures on notarized documents than anywhere else in the a East Bay. Super friendly staff who helped solve multiple problems for us (they were able to scan and email our docs so we didn't need to make a second stop to fedex them later). Absolutely the best. read more
