This small print shop caught me by surprise when I walked by. I was on the way to the flower shop next door when I noticed a huge selection of cards in this shop. Not only was I looking for flowers, but also a sympathy card. The selection for pet sympathy cards was a little bit small, however, the options that were available were perfect. The woman who was working was very kind and directed me towards the selection right away. The cards I got was also only $4! Considering if I were to get it online it would've been closer to $10, I think it was a great deal. read more

Throughout those 22 years, I always received competent & courteous service from owners Mojgan and Ben. I first came in here to print something from a USB stick. The man helped me at the computer and we started talking about Persian food, a very yummy topic. He's really sweet. I think the people who have written negative reviews are taking his Persian mannerisms the wrong way. People who were raised in a different country, like Germany for example, don't display the same American friendly attitude. It's just a different way of being. Back to my experience at Copy Express. A couple weeks later I went in to print something else and was greeted by a lovely woman. She helped me with what I was doing and I left feeling really good about the meme of this company. The thing that strikes me most is the way I'm treated like their family. They are warm, helpful and smart. I keep going back because I have loved them so much but I expect much kinder treatment since I have been a frequent and loyal customer almost two years. What a terrible experience. I wanted to laminate something. This guy was on the phone and I got to stand there awkwardly for a while. I showed him my Matt Cain perfect game ticket and asked if he could laminate it. He takes out the machine and says it needs to warm up. I got to stand there for 15 minutes, at which point I said yo what's up with the laminate? He puts the phone on his shoulder and says it needs to warm up. I said I don't feel like you care about me as a customer, I mean you are still on the phone and I'm standing here wondering how long this machine could possibly take to warm up. Then he shhhhhushed me while he was on the phone!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! So I left, cash in hand. Go here if you like being treated like the bottom of a shoe. read more

Went in to CE with a pre-paid Fed Ex package. The guy, who I think was the owner, was a total asshole jerk. I wanted a receipt for the package. He said "no" receipts. When I protested, he told me that I should take my package someplace else. People like this have no place dealing with the public. Avoid this business at all cost. read more

Copy Express is a wonderful store. It has the great service of a small, family-run shop, with a very professional setup. The owners are always smiling and very friendly. I use them for everything - printing, copying, faxing. They have brand new iMac and PC stations from which you can print directly (I prefer it to FedEx/Kinko's staff-run computer system). Or they will help and print for you if needed. I haven't visited another supplies/printing shop since I found Copy Express. read more

This store is run by real people who are sometimes overwhelmed, just like you and me. I am normally really picky about service, but I am a regular here, even though I've had all of the experiences described in these reviews. In fact, some days, there may be something going on that is taking up heir attention, but as soon as they/re able they're as friendly as can be. And it's true - the lamination machine takes time to warm up. Best to leave your job there for a while and pick it up later. I would rather go to Copy Express, my local store where I know I'll be treated like a member of the family, than a sycophantic type of place where false smiles take the place of real care. read more

This place is the worst!! The rudest people run this place. I'm not sure if it has been taken over by someone else but I am shocked by these 5 star ratings. I went in to send a fax, they had a sign out front that said faxes were 99 cents. When I faxed two pages with them (without even a "hello, how can I help you") the woman told me it was two dollars. I said "the sign out front says 99cents?" while taking money out of my wallet the woman working there proceeds to lecture me in their insurance costs and that she doesn't work for free. I said "I'm not going to argue with you" and as I was walking out a young woman tell me that I was rude and to never come into the shop again. I replied with "don't worry" Unbelievable!! I wish there was something else I could do besides writing them a bad review on yelp. Please do the rest of the world a favor and not give these rude people, who have no business running a shop open to the public, your money. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and I always feel terrible if I'm stuck (on a Sunday or after 6pm) and I have to go somewhere else. The owners are super friendly and helpful, even if it's only one b&w copy and I can't figure out the machine. They have competitive pricing and they use recycled paper, which I love. In January grab a free wall calendar (the kind that shows the entire year at once) and if they run out they'll print one up while you wait. This is also my go-to place for birthday cards and stickers- they keep a great selection of both. read more

Friendly, quick service, every single time. The owners are right on top of things, learn your name after a visit or two, and work hard to get your order just right. If they're busy, take a moment to ask for attention, and they will stop what they're doing to take good care of you. Walked by the place with my kid while my wife was at a nearby hair salon. One of the worst experiences ever. We went in because we saw greeting cards and maybe we could get one for her Papa. After looking at a few the associate behind the counter said "don't let your kid bend the cards!" with a firm voice. Next to him a loyal customer barked the same order. Bend what cards", I replied. he then started to yell at me. I couldn't believe this was happening. We haven't even picked up but two cards so expletive this! we are out of here. I grabbed up my daughter and out we went. We got into our car and while driving off the guy comes running out with greeting a card he said my daughter had bent.OMG I have never seen something like this before. This by the way did not bring a calm response from me. , his loyal customer also ran out and proceeded to lecture me about how children do the things they did. Well seeing my four year old daughter in tears I offered to buy this expletive 'BENT' card so we could be on our way(I don't know why I did this when I hadn't seen the thing he was holding b4). because the ranting continued ... I told these people to move away from my car so I could drive off. I have supported small businesses in Albany but I will never go here again. Rude, crazy people work here. read more

I used to really like this place, when I had only dealt with the woman who is frequently at the desk. She was always really nice and helpful, and I like shopping at local businesses. However, I recently brought in an inch thick stack of all my five year old's best drawings and stories from the last two years (i.e. a lot of sentimental value...) for binding, and the guy bound it on the wrong side, despite it having been clearly marked, making a lot of my daughter's stories illegible. I was really upset, but stayed calm and polite, and I told him that it wasn't the money (it was $4 for the binding), that really what I most wanted was just a genuine apology for having screwed it up, and instead of an apology, which really would have made all the difference, i got five minutes of defensive crap about how I must not have marked the binding edge clearly and he doesn't usually do kid's artwork but he was doing me a special favour and it was my fault because the edges weren't even and blah blah blah. Appalling manners, and appalling customer service. I will never come here again, sorry. read more
