Even my request for a large, stiff envelope was met with great patience and a smile. The man behind the counter remained pleasant, attentive and smiling throughout this ordeal of multiple docs to mail internationally. He advised me too on the least expensive method ( but a tracked mailing method) too. I'll def go here vs elsewhere next time. A very calming and professional experience when it had far less so at UPS and the post office.

I had called in to multiple stores beforehand and came to this specific location because another employee confirmed over the phone that they could print on envelopes. It turns out not all FedEx locations print on envelopes since only certain employees are trained for it. (Why aren't they all for a printing store?) He wasn't sure it will even print right and didn't care to look further into it. He was more concerned about bringing down the line than making sure each customer was fully helped. He wasn't very nice to other customers either and suggested them going to Emeryville if they needed it today because he didn't have the time for it. I was so upset that I ended up walking out. What a waste of time.

Dan gave a quote of $1200 for packaging, shipping, and pick up/delivery combined, but told me that would probably be an overestimate (b/c I overestimated the weight). While that's on the high end for this kind of service (with no white glove movers involved) I was told that paying this would ensure delivery by 5-6 days after pickup. First, the reasons for the low rating: what actually happened is that they tried to charge us $1275 for a delivery that took *three weeks*. After complaining about the delay during the process, they only refunded $100 of that amount. Dan always answered the phone when I called to check up on what was happening, but he was either misleading me throughout or wasn't bothering to properly check up on the delivery status. After an initial delay of several days, he continually made false promises about how soon it would arrive, while reminding me of how it was "out of his hands." Once I finally got the contact info for the shipping company from him, I suddenly got a very clear answer that ended up being accurate. However, as the delay caused the couch to arrive when I was at work, and all that money didn't even cover help in getting the couch up to our fourth-floor apartment, the couch was left sitting outside in the rain until I could make it home. I'm just grateful that the super of my building graciously helped to move the couch in once I did. Now, the reason that I rate my experience as a 2.5 instead of a 1: the couch did arrive in perfect condition. Ultimately, that is the most important thing, and is the reason that I was willing to pay a bit over a grand for the service. Dan was always available on the phone during the process, and it does appear to be true that the delay was the fault of YRC Freight. However, the large delay would not have caused such a headache if Dan been able to provide reliable updates on how soon the package would be arriving. I also never forgot about the fact that he initially led me to expect $1200 to be a substantial overestimate of the cost. In the end, I should not have had to pay the $1175 that I did for something that turned into such a hassle.

I wasn't really expecting much because, in general, it's unrealistic to assume you can get same-day service, especially if someone travels to various appointments. Fortunately, when I called and gave my address, Simarjit happened to be near the area and was able to fit me into his schedule. He got to my place in less than 20 minutes. Simarjit was friendly, conscientious, and considerate (even asking if he needed to take his shoes off). The whole process was quick, maybe 15-20 minutes. The total cost for one signature was $80, and he did accept credit card. My guess is that the price varies based on where you're located and how many signatures you need notarized. Overall, I had a great experience, so if I ever need to get anything notarized again, I would definitely use Simarjit again. Note: Dont expect that he'll come within 20 minutes because I just got extremely lucky.

I found this hole in the wall by accident but it is much more than it looks like. The owner and the employees are always extremely helpful and friendly. I've called in for some issues too and they always take the time to help me with whatever problem I have. I don't have a PO Box there but it seems they are very organized and diligent. You Send Me processes DHL and has a pick up Monday through Friday around 3:15. You can drop off your own international shipments and letters paid on your personal DHL account too. It's really hard to find a DHL office. Half the time the office you find has stopped performing DHL services. If you have questions, You Send Me will answer them or phone you back.
