I love supporting local businesses but only go here if you want smudged prints that you're going to have to shred anyway, and you're willing to get lectured about how they can't help you because you did everything wrong at the computer station, and have no way of seeing whether your personal information was kept on their computer. Fast, affordable, pleasant - This is my Go-To place for all printing. Parking in front (metered) or one in rear (free). Shiva is very helpful and the cost for me bringing in my thumb drive and making copies is reasonable. Many other places I tried going to wanted to charge me a $5 fee just for inserting my thumb drive, even if I had only 1 copy to make! Not here--much more economical. Thank you! read more

Simply fantastic- first place to go for all my printing and fast turn around.

This is probably my favorite copy center in Berkeley for many reasons. One and most important being convenient with parking. Two always having up-to-date computers (some have 16gb ram) that have most of the software I use or need. I'm not to sure why everyone complains about the owner he manages the whole shop by himself and even allows me to use adobe photoshop and illustrator on store admin desktop when I have projects needed to open in those applications and he provides absolutely the best customer service that could be provided at a copy center in my opinion. Shiva the owner goes above and beyond to make sure my job is completed and approved by my satisfaction that is what I love to see from any business. Great local business. read more

I went into his business today trying to open up a mailbox for my trucking business. I received poor customer, very short and annoyed tone. As I continued to ask questions regarding the service he became annoyed. Where has customer service gone!! I wonder if the color of my (BLACK) skin threaten him. I continued to use a calm tone. The owner is always very helpful; he goes above and beyond, even when he's irritated. I come here to buy boxes and print shipping labels for items I sell online. The prices are fair, even with the $2 print minimum, because the boxes are so inexpensive. They specialize in professional sign making, so for someone like me who's printing out one document, the minimum is understandable. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with Easy Copy Center-- we made 1050 B/W copies, and it cost about $28. (The more you copy, the cheaper it is. For our mountain of copies, it was 2.5 cents/page.) The owner was really nice and helpful (fixed every paper jam I had), and the copy machine worked perfectly. I find that giving a business who is trying to stay afloat a bad review because if fax prices, is ridiculous. Every place you go charges 1 dollar per page , that is totally standard. I've worked for copy central, OfficeMax and several other places that were even more expensive. Also, leaving a bad review because its busy is also ridiculous. I found this business overpriced and they offered poor service. To print a copy from the computer they charged me for computer time ($1.50) and also were unresponsive when I asked for what printer to print to. The man made me feel like a burden when I wanted to support his business. As much as I'd like to support local stores, Kinkos offers much better service. read more

It's easy, and generally not even crowded - which is really nice if you're in a rush. Plus they will always help you out if you need to figure out how to make self service copies or some other more advanced function on the machines.I come here all the time to make copies/FAX. This place is a complete rip off. $2 to use the internet for 15 minutes. Fair enough, that might be somewhat standard these days. HOWEVER, I had the owner fax a total of 11 pages for me and was not made aware that the total came to $1 per page faxed until after the task had been completed. I'm sorry but $11 to fax 11 sheets of paper? That is ridiculous. That amount probably paid the entire phone bill for Easy Copy Center for the month. Not to mention that the owner responded to my look of disbelief at the price with an oh so helpful gesture toward the tiny sign behind him listing the outrageous price. OVERPRICED. Do not buy any deals for Easy Copy Center through Yelp. I purchased the $30 for 50 deal and was very disappointed by the bait and switch pricing that made the deal no deal. I got $33 dollars worth of color copies for $30 bucks, because I had to pay .29 cents a copy rather than the cash price of .19 cents a copy (100 min), a savings of a whopping $3 dollars! The only saving grace was that the copy quality was very good. But the difficulty of redeeming the deal, the bait and switch pricing, and the accusations of leaving a negative review all combine for a very bad experience. And the pressure to leave a five star review was a bit much. I would not recommend Easy Copy Center for any services. Their prices might be slightly lower but the added headache is just not worth it. read more

Easy Copy Center, I haven't flaked out on you! Here is the review I promised! (And, no, I am not secretly the owner of Easy Copy Center. Gosh, I kinda feel ashamed that I don't even know the man's name!). Anyways, I used to live on Ashby/Telegraph, so this copy place was perfectly located between me and Berkeley Bowl (and the cheap Chevron station). And lucky for my lazy self, Easy Copy Center has a couple parking spots in the back for those who live close but still drive everywhere. Often the spaces are blocked with a cone, but that cone is for YOU and me to move since we are their customers. And if you really just want to run in/out, there is metered parking in front on Shattuck. What you can expect is a lot of machines, several computers, a couple other folks, and a hardworking man running everything. He's not smiley friendly, but he's friendly in his own way. I was impressed that he recognized me every time I came back. I came mainly for the excellent color copies, which were 25 cents each if I printed 100+. I was never charged for computer time (which was me plugging in my USB to print my file) and always received the help I needed. Plus I love any place that takes credit card. Overall, I appreciate this small business and hope you can too! read more

After visiting this place, you'll have to take anger management classes. The young boy who works there is possibly the worst person to take care of your prints. We have come here twice in two days, and he managed to make the exact same mistakes, making us waste 50 minutes each time to get the worst possible prints ever. And he is rude too. Beware: this business does not accept the yelp discount purchased on this site. Whether I will even be able to get my $30 back from yelp is yet TBD. Their color copying machine does not work. And if you want to make double sided copies, you have to feed the paper in on the second side - not idea if you're making a large number of copies. Last, they are understaffed. One person running around like crazy trying to fix broken machines and service more than ten customers at once. Get ready to wait a long time if you come here. I've had a good experience and lousy experience here. The good: reasonably priced fliers, which I prepared close by at a very nice cafe (hey, it was almost empty, because this is a mile from the University). The colored fliers were less expensive than elsewhere. I had to fold them myself. The lousy: so now I trusted Easy Copy. Was time-pressed, had documents on my PC to print. I remember they said you can email your documents in, if you don't have a thumb drive. OK, arrive, open my PC, see their wireless, ask for the password. Need it to send in the email. The employee said he wasn't allowed to give it out. I ask to borrow a zip drive. Nope, only for sale, $20. If the flier experience had been really great, I'd go back. But the fliers were just good. The snafu with my documents was bad. If the employee, an adult, was prohibited by his boss from giving out password or lending zip drive to busy, just-in-time customer, then the store's policies will sink this place. read more

He takes the time to understand what you're looking for and then gets job done efficiently. Easy, cheap and efficient -- even during these crazy times. I've lost access to my work printer, and had a 60 page document that was too big for my printer at home. I emailed it to the store (easycopy@gmail.com) and it was ready for pickup 10 minutes later. Speedy payment process, I was the only one there, and very reasonable ($7). Just had my 1000+ print job done here at a very decent price. I was expecting it to take a while because of the number of pages. But to my surprise, I had my stack ready within 15 minutes. This place is anything but "easy." I'll start by saying that they would not accept my yelp deal that I purchased for $30 (for $50 of printing). So do not purchase that yelp deal, bcs you'll lose your money. Additionally, despite the fact that I called in advance to find out if they could do double sided color printing, when I arrived, I learned that their color copies come out with two different shades of color on opposite sides of the paper (i.e. the left side of the front has dark shade and the right side pf the front had a lighter shade) - with a couple red lines (not part of my design) streaked across the page. When I said I would not place my order because of the poor printing job, the employee called his manager, who asked to speak to me. The manager then proceeded to blame this all on his "new employee." Obviously it wasn't the employee's fault that the color printer cartridge needed to be changed. The manager then suggested I come to his Berkeley location to get good color printing. Yah right. Moreover, this place had way too many people to be serviced by a single employee. I can't believe how calm he remained with ten people asking for his help, complaining about broken machines (apparently the color machine is not the only broken one). In sum, this place is a shit hole. I went there to support a small local business, but I have no choice but to take my business to kinkos. read more

Price gouging and unreasonable staff. I called to ask if they could simply print out a one page document if I emailed it to them. The man on the phone told me there would be a two dollar "computer charge", plus the cost of printing even though I did not need to use the computer. As I was telling him there are other places in town that provide this service for free, he just hung up on me. I don't do a lot of copying but whenever I have a job for one of the non-profits I work with, I go to Easy Copy. I recently needed a booklet and 2 posters. Theirs was easily the least expensive of any of the places I called and the quality and turn around time was excellent. They are easy to deal with and very responsive. read more

Do not come here if you intend to use your own paper, even if you are fully able to describe said paper and show original packaging. I understand not wanting to screw up expensive machines, but literally every other copy shop I have ever gone to has allowed me to bring in custom paper - nice stuff like 80lb strathmore that picks up color just right. The person at the store also tried to argue with me that no one accepts custom paper (not true), because it might damage the machines (also highly unlikely, and someone who works with paper every day should be able to tell which papers are likely to damage a printer - the employee did not even bother to look at my paper, just waved me away). The printers are the same type used in every other print shop, so not a valid argument. Finally, the last off putting remark was that the person said the store had a $5 dollar minimum. They must never offer test prints to designers then I guess? I would have been ok with the policies if the store had any alternatives for me, but if they did, the employee did not make any effort to mention them. read more
